Not a problem for Loha Singh ... he *may* resort to female infanticide (then get another Laali). 😒
As per United Nations reports ... countries like China, India, Korea, Bangladesh, Middle East and parts of Africa face the social problem of gender feticide.
Amniocentesis is a method used to detect genetic abnormalities in the unborn fetus. But in the countries mentioned above ... many women use amniocentesis for the wrong reasons. When the woman comes to know that the fetus is a female, she decides to abort it. But who can blame her? She is forced to do so because she has a father-in-law or a husband like Loha Singh.
Per UN reports, there are laws in India which penalize citizens participating in female infanticide. But the current sex ratio in the 0-6 age group is 927(F):1000(M). This is an alarming number on a nation-wide scale.
Apparently ... the laws are not working. Why? Loopholes in legislation ??? 😊
