Part 1
CBI office
Every one had reached the head quarters on time except raghav. The team had just finished an influential case of the murder of a cabinet minister. Every one was busy with paper works regarding it. Trisha enquired about raghav to rajbir and bikram. They both were clueless. Raghav had not mentioned anything about coming late today to them. Trisha tried calling him. But his phone was switched off continuously. As time passed trisha started worrying. Though raghav sometimes come late he never disappear like this. He will at least inform someone. Even if he had to take an emergency leave he will be informing her. Trisha wondered what's going on?
Trisha murmured: phone abhi bhi switched off hai. Haad hai laa parvayi ka. Koi iss tarah gayab ho jatha hai kya? I hope he is fine. Kisi ki bhi baath nahi manathi hamesha apni man mani karegi. Koi yahaan unki wajeh se parishan ho unhe kya farakh padtha hai?
Trisha tried to concentrate in her work. But her mind was continuously diverting by raghav's thoughts. She understood without seeing him she is not going to get peace of mind.
Trisha murmured to herself: aaj aane dho unki encounter zaroor hogi. Mein kitna parishan ho rahi hoon.
Trisha wondered why she is becoming restless? Usually she is a composed person. But when it comes to raghav she unknowingly becomes hyper. Of course she cares for her entire team though she wont show it out. But raghav she know he is special to her. When and how it happened she herself don't know. Initially she used to get irritated with his casual attitude and his pranks. But as time passed she started enjoying his company. She started smiling to his jokes. She started enjoying him irritating her. Teasing her. She can't even imagine a day without him. Trisha never expected in her life to fall in love with someone. Few years back someone would have said that she would have laughed. But after raghav entered her life everything changed. She knows to an extent he too likes her. He flirts only with her. He sometimes make her feel so special. But when it comes to expressing himself he backs out. That makes her confused. Is he doing that because of his past? Trisha never had the guts to reveal her true feelings for him. She was scared of loosing his friendship. What if he sees her only as a colleague and a close friend?
Every one had gathered in the conference hall going through the paper works of previous cases. Raghav entered the conference hall along with a beautiful women. Every one was surprised to see him with a women.
Raghav: guys meet ridhima! My fiance! We are here to invite you guys for our wedding on coming Sunday.
No doubt everyone was shocked. Trisha felt like the soil under her feet had gone and she had fallen in to a pit. She just couldn't believe that raghav is going to marry someone else. She always thought that he liked her. She saw the entire team members congratulating raghav and ridhima. Trisha came out from her initial shock.
Trisha: congrats raghav!
Somehow she managed to speak up. She excused herself and went to washroom. Once inside the washroom she sat down on the floor and cried her heart out.
Her worst fear had came into reality. She had lost raghav forever. She never had any clue that he had someone else in his life. He never had mentioned about ridhima to anyone. She knew just because she loves him its not necessary that he too should love her. After all why would a man like him will love an introvert women like her? She is totally different from him. Ridhima looks perfect for him. And he seems to be happy. If he is happy then she don't want anything else in this world. She loved him so much to let him go. She always knew if you have loved someone truly then you should let your love go for there happiness. She got up and washed her face. She decided not to show her heart break outside. She is a strong women. She doesn't want sympathy or pity from anyone.
Trisha went directly to her cabin. She could see rajbir, bikram and swathi chatting with ridhima and raghav. She is not in a mental state for chit chatting. She occupied herself in her work.
After sometime
Raghav entered trisha's cabin. Trisha tried her level best to act normally in front of him.
Trisha: kya hua raghav kuch kaam tha?
Raghav: boss actually mein ne aaj shyam ko apni ghar mein ek party rakhi thi. Apni shaadi ki khushi mein. Mein tume party mein invite karne aayi thi.
Trisha: usually i am not a person who enjoys parties. Par yeh toh tumari shaadi ki khushi mein rakhi thi. Mein zaroor aajaoungi.
He smiled.
Raghav: waise muhey kuch din ke liye chuti chahiye.
Trisha: ya sure after all tumari shaadi hai.
Trisha was hurt. But she didn't show it out. She didn't want anyone to notice her emotions.
Raghav and ridhima had left immediately as they had to take care of the arrangements for the party. Trisha didn't sit with the team for lunch or tea as she knew everyone will be discussing about raghav and ridhima. She excused herself by occupying in her work. Knowing trisha's dedication to her work they didn't force her.
Raghav's house - night time
Trisha after a lot of internal conflict convinced herself to attend the party. She had worn a knee length sleeveless red colour dress with light make up. She had worn only a small studs as her ornament. Trisha realised she was the one who came last for the party. Much to her relief only the team mates was present in the party. She greeted raghav and ridhima and went to meet others.
Swathi: trisha tum iss kapde mein bahuth khoobhsurat lag rahi ho.
Arathy: trisha tum itni sundhar lag rahi ho ki sirf tumari looks se kisi ki khathil ho saktha hai.
Trisha smiled.
Trisha: thank you guys.
After sometime
Soft romantic music played slowly. Trisha saw raghav and ridhima dancing together. She turned away her eyes from them. She just couldn't see someone else in his arms. Raghav had always teased her asking for a dance with him. But she had always denied. She was scared that during dance her feelings for him will come out. Today she regretted. At least once she would have agreed. She could have lived with that memory. She was finding it difficult to cope up with the fact that raghav is going to marry someone else. Trisha was startled when she felt a hand on her shoulder. It was rajbir.
Rajbir: kahan kho gayi trisha?
Trisha: nahi kuch nahi.
Rajbir: agar kuch nahi hai toh mere saath dance karegi?
Trisha was stunt. Rajbir had asked for a dance. She knew rajbir is childish. He won't have any other intentions. So she didn't want to hurt him. She agreed and went to dance floor with him.
Whereas rajbir could make out trisha was upset seeing raghav and ridhima together. Though he never voiced out he had always doubted that raghav and trisha has feelings for each other. He absolutely had no idea why raghav had decided to marry ridhima. He had a doubt that raghav loves trisha. His doubt had became confirmed after what he had seen few days back. {{{{ what rajbir had seen which made him confirmed that raghav loves trisha will be revealed in next part}}}}. He knows raghav is not a person who does something with out a reason. When raghav loves trisha what had made him to marry ridhima? Rajbir wanted to speak with raghav. But to get him alone seems to be difficult. Ridhima is always with him. Seeing trisha's condition rajbir is sure that she too loves raghav. He didn't have the guts to ask her openly. How he managed to get courage to ask for a dance only he and god knows.
Raghav just couldn't believe his eyes. Rajbir and trisha dancing together. Its not that he don't trust them. He knew both of them so well. But some how he felt disturbed seeing rajbir and trisha dancing together. Ridhima noticed raghav's change. She could make out that his attention is completely on trisha even though it is she who is dancing with. Ridhima got extremely angry. How can raghav notice trisha when she is with him? She decided to show trisha her position.
Rajbir too noticed that raghav became uncomfortable seeing trisha dancing with him. He is now sure that raghav has a reason to marry ridhima.
Trisha had excused herself from the party as she got chief's call in between. Ridhima came near trisha.
Ridhima: suna hai ki aap ke liye shaadi ka proposals aa rahi hai.
Trisha became uncomfortable with the talk about her marriage. But still she didn't want to behave rude since its the first time ridhima speaking to her.
Trisha: ji haan
Ridhima: aap ke liye thoda mushkil hoga ladka milna
Trisha stared at her.
Ridhima: please don't misunderstand me i didn't mean to hurt you. Of course you are beautiful, intelligent and successful. But thoda boring type hai. Ladko ko meri tarah smart and out going ladkiya pasanth hoga.
Trisha became red with anger. No one had the audacity to speak with her like that. That's the aura she had. Trisha didn't want to create a scene. After all this is raghav's house and he had arranged this party. She respect him a lot. But at the same time her self respect didn't allow to bare the insult from ridhima. Trisha spoke in a firm voice.
Trisha: ridhima apne aapke bare mein self confidence hona achi baath aur apne aap ko pyaar karna bhi. Par iska matalab yeh nahi hai ki tum baki sab logo ko apni nazar mein neecha dikhaao. Har ek insaan alag hai. And that's what made human different from other species. Mein jaise bhi hoon khush hoon. Perfect hoon. Muhey aapne aap ko ladko ke liye badlne ki zaroorath nahi hai.
Trisha went inside without even waiting for her response. Trisha was totally irritated. Party became even more sour for her. She decided to leave. Raghav saw her leaving. He came near her.
Raghav: tum itni jaldi jaa rahi ho?
Trisha: haan raghav ghar mein mumma akeli hai. I am sorry muhej ab jana hoga.
She left from there.
Next day
Trisha had hardly slept in the night. Through out the night she was thinking about raghav. She just couldn't understand what made raghav fall for ridhima? Initially she thought ridhima is a sweet girl. But after her conversation with ridhima in party she felt weird. She felt something is not right with ridhima.
Trisha tried to occupy herself in work. But it was becoming difficult for her. She unknowingly started worrying for raghav.
After sometime trisha received raghav's call
Raghav: trisha muhey tumari madad ki zaroorath hai.
Trisha: haan bolo raghav
Raghav: ridhima zidd kar rahi hai unke liye shaadi ka joda mein hi select karo. Mein inn sab mamale mein thoda weak hoon. Kya tum meri madad kar sakthi ho?
Trisha closed her eyes in irritation. But then she controlled. She thought may be its a chance for her to speak with him about ridhima.
Trisha: ok fine mein aajaongi
Raghav was waiting for trisha in the lobby of the shop. Once she came they went directly to the bridal section.
The sales man displayed so many bridal costumes in front of them.
Trisha: muhey lagtha hai ridhima ek colourful ladki hai. Bahuth fashionable bhi hai. Unke liye kuch khas hi pasand karna hoga. Tume kya lagtha hai?
Raghav was preoccupied in his thoughts. He came out from his thoughts.
Raghav: kuch kaha tumne?
Trisha: kahan kho gayi ho tum? Ab se sapna dekhna shuru hogaya kya?
Raghav became uncomfortable. Trisha understood something is not right with him.
Trisha: kya hua raghav? Nervous ho rahi ho? Shaadi se pehele aisa hota hai.
Raghav: trisha please hum dress select kare?
Trisha understood he is not in his real self. Trisha took a red lehenga with heavy work.
Trisha: laagtha hai ridhima ko yeh bahuth pasandh aayega. Waise ridhima karthe kya hai? Aur tum pehli baar unhe kab mili?
Raghav was feeling really uncomfortable. He totally ignored her question.
Raghav: yeh acha hai. Kholke dekho ek baar?
Trisha: ya sure.
She opened it and kept it on her body. Raghav was stunt. The dress looked so pretty on her. Trisha noticed his stare and she blushed. They both came out when they heard salesman's voice.
Salesman: madam ji saab toh apni nazar aap se hati nahi jab aap yeh pehnkar shaadi ke liye bait jayegi toh pata nahi kya hoga?
Trisha and raghav became embarrassed as the salesman misunderstood them as a couple. Raghav asked him to pack the dress. He thanked trisha and left. Trisha became totally worried. Raghav was behaving so weird. What could be the reason? And he avoided her questions about ridhima. Trisha was sure something is seriously wrong.
Next day
After meeting raghav yesterday trisha tried contacting raghav. But his phone was switched of. And before going to her house she went to his home. But to her surprise it was locked. She waited for him for a long time. But he didn't return.
Trisha received an unexpected visitor in her office. Ridhima!
Ridhima: pehle aapko thanks karne aaya hoon.
Trisha: kiss liye?
Ridhima: shaadi ka joda mili muhey. Woh dekhe pata chala selection raghav ki nahi balki aapki hai. Anyways tumara choice bahuth acha tha.
Trisha: thanks
Ridhima: ek aur baath. Aaj mein aapko apni ghar mein invite karne aaya hoon. Mehendi ke liye. Kal meri shaadi hai. Aapko zaroor aana hoga. Mein chatha hoon meri shaadi mein aap bhi mehendhi lagaye.
Trisha: ya sure mein zaroor aajaungi.
Trisha decided to attend ridhima's mehendi function. In that way she will get to know about ridhima more.
Evening ridhima's home
Trisha was surprised to see ridhima stays alone. When trisha asked about her family she informed her that she is an orphan. Ridhima had only very few friends. That also surprised trisha. An out going girl like her having only few friends its hard to digest. Trisha was so occupied in her thoughts when the mehendi lady was applying mehendi in her hands.
Lady: mam aapke haath mein kiska naam likhoon?
Trisha( lost in her thoughts): raghav
Trisha didn't even notice that the lady wrote raghav's name in her hands in the mehendi.
Trisha decided to speak with raghav. She wanted to know exactly what's going on. She know it is going to be a tough job. But still she had to do it. She drove her car directly to raghav's residence.
Raghav's house
Trisha was surprised to see raghav had not locked the main door. She opened it and went inside.
Trisha: raghav raghav
There was no answer. She walked towards his room. She was astonished to see few alcohol bottles and he was totally drunk. She had never seen him like this.
Trisha(angrily): yeh tum kya kar rahi ho? Tume kya hogaya raghav?
Raghav came near her. He was finding difficulty to walk. Trisha went and held him. He looked at her and cupped her face.
Raghav: tum hamesha aisa kaise karthi ho? Jab bhi muhey dard hoga tum faristha banke aajayega. Kaise trisha? Aisa kya hai hamare beech mein?
Trisha didn't know what to say. She knew he was not in his senses but what all he said was true.
He hugged her tightly as if his life depended upon her. Trisha too hugged him back. She understood raghav is not happy with this marriage. There is a reason behind it. And she became determined to find it out and save him from this marriage.
