What attracts me to a serial?

Since we really do not have much to say right now on AB - I thought of sharing what actually attracts me to a serial - which I rarely watch otherwise on TV...

First the story - it has to be different conveying a message need not be preachy it could just be a simple family tale but must have some values thrown in and some moments for us to see which we can relate to easily from our own lives...

Second the artistes portraying that role...the character should speak volumes through the actor...

The pace - I like it if the pace of the story is good - meaning not very slow that we see each character being shown endlessly with the same expression...it should be fast paced and keep moving to the next scene...

A negative character is needed to add spice to the story as all our lives have some kind of an obstacle but never should it be that it wins over the positive...it has to be a triumph of good over evil...

Along with the message it tries to convey there has to be an element of entertainment...like light family moments - outdoor fun activities - daily routines shown as a part of the story line...songs in the back ground...

Share your views on what interests you all...in a show...

I will not lie here

1) Reason for me to watch this show was Kinshuk Mahajan. I doubt I would have watched the show if Kinshuk was not there to potray Pintu singh.

2) Story Yep it's really appealing and I liked the concept which was different from other shows.

@ Rachna - This was not just for AB but in general...even the best of actors can't do much in a story which does not offer much...I really had to write this...as I know most of us are quite unhappy with the story...and how it has been moving for the past few weeks...

I know shanti and can understand your point of view. I know from past few weeks it's just Pinky and her stupid plans. I mean even if her plans were great that I could say a real intelligent and cunning negative character is making plan.

Initially when show started and Plans made by TTS were real plans which needed a brain and intelligence to solve them. He was quite dangerous too. I still miss that TTS.

Rajah shah always say there is no original story just the way the show is produced which makes it special and (my view) the actors which take it to the next level. and i totally agree with him on this i am not looking for something totally new but its got to be interesting and well put together. the characters, the show must make sense and be logical, simple straight forward otherwise normally i wnt watch it. If they have a main theme stick to it and create new storylines for it for instance shows like ghost whisperer, csi, good wife and supernatural they have a main theme but the characters and relationships are continuously changing and evolving and disintergrating and these shows are excellent.

i really cnt take overly dramatic and crazy shows they just dnt appeal to me. Thats why i always complain ab kinshuk shows i cnt stand them its amazing that i am still this guys fan after having to watch his show i dnt enjoy them, But he just brings such depth and emotions to his characters that i cnt not watch him.

i have to say for me i not a total fan of romantic shows the untanglement of relationship btw couple dnt hold my interest for very long there has to be a proper storyline. so this show in the beginning would defintely have watched it for the concept, for the message and krishna but if kinshuk wasnt here when it went bad wnt hav bothered to watch after its good period.

As for the villians i have to say i normally end up being a total fan of the evil characters i love them to bits certain shows i enjoy watching them more than the good charcters. they must be fun, evil and at the same time sick but along with this the actor must bring the necessary depth and emotion and made me sympatize with their character and not simply the situation they are in and make me want to defend/excuses for their actions for me to be their fan. But this show i have to say that our villians are excellent but their storyline isnt very interesting so when they are shown alot they often dnt make sense. i find all our villians quiet boring to tell u the truth they just take away from the storyline thats why would love it if they all turn good at once and the focus goes to the theme and our lead.

But i will say that this is the only show for me where the lead couple even though they havent been shown alot together the little they are shown makes me not wana quit the show.

but i will say this the 1 thing that still attracts me to this show is prishna

Yes - they were truly a great couple ...actually are...why am I using the past tense?😊

Well what mainly attracts me to a serial is :(1) The story on which the serial is based should be inspiring as well as realistic, it should depict real life struggles and things that I can relate to.

I started watching AB because the story was really inspiring, showing a girl trying to defy all odds n fulfill both her n her father's dream of being a BDO, in reality we all try to fulfill our parents hope n expectations especially when its the same thing that we want.

(2) There should always be negative characters to spice things up but like u said the good should always win evil 😉, I don't like it when they show the evil character having the upper hand and always the good character is shown wrong to the family.

In AB i guess the negative character are currently Pinky n her parents but i just get angry when Pinky makes Krishna looks wrong 😡.

(3) After watching serials i usually develop likings to characters pairings etc that constantly attracts me and these likings make me never wanna stop watching the serials 😆.

In AB I instantly got attracted to Pinto (Kinshuk Mahajan) and Krishna (Mitali Nag), this was the first time i ever saw any of the two in a serial, but what can i say i just fell in love with Prishna 😳, and ever since then I liked no I mean loved the pairing of Pinto n Krishna aka Prishna so ever since then I have been hooked to the serial for Prishna.

N like u guys even i hope they start showing more Prishna's scenes n moments 😳 rather than Pinky 😡
