Her ABIans, first of all I would like to start by putting a disclaimer that this is not a post to bash AB by any means.
This show was so different when it started. I mean it was really really different from all the saas bahu, devrai jethani crap that has been ruling the indian television and will continue to rule the indian television for probably decades to come. I don't understand how the saas bahu crap can even rule the TRP charts. On one hand, we (as indian society) have made tremendous progress in terms of technological growth, producing the best minds in the world and making out international presence felt. But, on the other hand, we are probably still regressive when it comes to our TV shows where all that is welcomed is regressive shows (yes, at least the TRPs tell us that only).
Okay, no coming back to AB. The show was doing really well in terms of storyline until Krishna took over as BDO. And then they showed Ganga devi as going negative (or partially grey character) for god knows what reason (I've been waiting since several weeks as to when the truth of tuntun singh manipulating ganga devi for pint's marriage will come out). And now we have Vidyapati going to JAIL for the THIRD time. REALLY, what is this? This is called as RUNNING OUT of IDEAS. If someone tells me that this is not running out of ideas, then what is this?
There is so much more that they could show in terms of Krishna fighting these people. I mean I'm sure personally many of us can give suggestions for a better and yes interesting storyline that is not boring. But, we're not writers of AB and its not our job.
And today when I was reading the written update of AB, I wasn't really surprised at rumors of AB going off air. I personally do think that it is a bit early to do that (because many other shows on Zee TV have even crappier storylines). But, the CVS better get their act together before its too late.
I sincerely hope that the Indian TV audiences can break out of this mold of saas bahu crap.
