The problem with PP was that they lifted a western format and tried to force it into eastern mentality. It was never going to work in a culture where you respect your elders...it matched western mentalities and so the show does fantastically there - which goes back to our earlier point about knowing your audience and ensuring that you target them correctly.

Yes, I hear that too..and I think one of the major factor for that is that people don't feel humiliated there...which they definitely did with PP

I dont feel its much to do with humiliation..i watched it the other day..its simply not gripping...unlike KBC..which kept a viewer hooked on...i think Sharoukh has become a bit greedy too!!!..but i guess why not..eneryone wants to better their income..so why should he not do it...

And yes, everyone's doing it....so why not SRK..after all, he has lots to gain and not a lot to loose!

I am also from Pakistan. In which city u r? I am from Lahore. Pakistani people like and watch ACHPM more than Indian people. Its a fact. But sadly Chabhi is no more. 😭

Take back ur words who says it is no more.Didn't u see its gonna come back.😊
And its not that Indian ppl. don't love it.Its just that because of its timings they don't know about it but believe me those who know about it are real fanatics like u and me.
Also I remember reading in one of the earlier posts that when ACHPM started it started with one of the highest TRPs by any new show but then thnx to Starplus it lost its popularity because of gr8 timings and nothing for promotion and not airing it occasionally.

agree. I think they hurried up too much before doing there research properly.

I have watched UK version of that - and I kinda knew.. it wont go so well with inidan viewers. (somewhere the humour concept clashes with traditional minds..) You can't just blindly follow something ..

bad market research is all i can say..

oh well - give chabi back now! 🥳

And I hope they promote chabi well this time!

I will not take my words back. There is nothing in them. Ok. Filhal Chabhi is not there on starplus. N popularity varies from country to country of same program.

i agree...its not got to do with humiliation. i think one problem is that the nature of the show isnt serious. it should have been more of a quiz format. instead they are trivializing the whole thing with dancing, singing, mimicry and all that stuff. i have read they actually auditioned the participants. that means they handpicked ppl who have some screen presence. unlike KBC where participants were random...so u had smarties as well as dumbos. that added a touch of realism to the show.

plus another problem is that SRK currently is seen here, there everywhere. this started with him promoting OSO and he is always in the news for something or the other. or else he is seen in ads. so there is no particular charm in seeing SRK in this show.
