does any1 have info on trp's

well if star plus has decided to suspened chabi indefinitely then i guess the trp's wud have been low. bcoz if the show was generating high revenue then star wud have continued. then tht means few like minded people r watching the show. i don understand y such a wonderful show has not got its worthyacceptance whether frm the viwers, channel or awards. everywhere chabi is sidelined. if chabi is not popular i guess it mite b bcoz

1) people r used to daily serials which come 4-5 times week n sustains the interest while chabi comes only once so gets lost in the weekend as many channels air movies at tht time.

2) chabi does not have a famous star-cast. although varun is very respected actor he is not a star.

3) people have lost interest in middle-class stories.

According to me...the main reosons for non popularity of this show in India( its very popular abroad)...are lack of promotions..and pathetic time slots..i mean it was getting its due for the first 6 months when it just started ..as it was showing sun 10 pm..only to be taken over and messed about due to reality shows..thats when the downfall started really.....

Irrespective...its unfair to delete a wonderful serial like this...i am willing to glance at reality shows..and even glance through all the K serials by Balaji.......but it was Aek Chabhi that kept me going with star plus really.....

I am sorry to say...if Aek Chabhi has gone...i cannot be bothered to view this rubbish which is shown on star plus....i am not happy with the channels attitiude......i hear Zee has a couple of decent shows..i wont be surprised if people slowly shift out..i for one am going away from this channel for a bit till i find something chabhi like..

Well all i can say is..if they can give a show like Aek Chabhi a break..then viewers have a right to give them a break!!!!

i too agree with sonia here...its pretty obvious trps have been bad...but thats mainly to do with its friday 7pm slot. its such a bad slot that even people who stay at home like housewives, kids and senior citizens would be busy with the evening chores. and chabhi is a show that primarily appeals to working women and men. how can this category of viewers catch up with the show at this slot? comparitively its repeat trps have been better but then star plus doesnt let the repeats also go on in peace. in a month we would get the repeats for maybe 2 weeks and other 2 weeks it would be some other programs. how can anyone follow the show when things stand such? and the final blow was 3 weeks nominations + 1 week of spa...whatever profits the channel/production house makes is from the sunday 10 pm slot. when the show wasnt telecast for 4 weeks what could they gain?
also to admit the truth the show hasnt been going all that well. frankly speaking 2 weeks back most of us were planning to even quit watching the show primarily because the show for a few months hasnt had the same charm as it did earlier. thats mainly because the protagonists sandeep and urmi havent been in the limelight esp urmi. since the show has started both sandeep and urmi have got equal footage. the mohalla stories mainly happen from sandeep pov whereas their love story has always happenned from urmi's pov. this has been missing from the show since the past 6 months. and admit it or not its important to have a female protagonist in a show. and here the female protagonist has been missing in action.
i know some of you might argue that s/u are like any character of the mohalla. but what i feel is that chabhi is a like garland and s/u are like the thread that keeps flowers of the garland together.
