Weekend on India's leading general entertainment channel STAR PLUS gets a slice of life with the launch of Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein...

Sprucing up its programming in the weekend segment with Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein, the channel's endeavor is to further add to the pool of its creative and innovative mix with the show's unique - 'slice of life', concept which is based on a mix of humor and strong emotions, portrayed by relatable characters which are essayed through their believable stories.

Marking the launch of STAR Plus' new show, Mr. Deepak Segal, EVP, Content, STAR India Pvt. Ltd., said "Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein brings back to Indian television the spice of every day life and 'middle class mohalla' which has earlier defined success and popularity for shows like - Wagle Ki Duniya, Nukkad, Hum Panchi Ek Chawl Ke etc. Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein is all set to create a genre of entertainment, with its light humorous storyline, as the show prods gently into the core of the human heart introspecting it's universal themes and most of all it's infallible romantic spirit... It's strength!

With its interesting and ever changing plot the story of Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein will be set up in 'Colonelgunj', revolving around the lives of Sandeep (played by Varun Badola) - the voice of the mohalla; Urmi (played by Suhasi Garodia) - quintessentially a daydreamer; Zoya (Akasha) as she aspires to become a beautician; and the band of four vellas - Mushtaq (played by Ujjwal Chopra), Jugle (played by Manoj Goel), Rahul (played by Vishal Kotiyan) and Hari (played by Vipul Tyagi) as their single-minded aim of life is to think and find the ways to win Urmi.

The show further gets its spirit from three uncommon families - Mehta, Singh's and Ali's, having their distinct outlook and ways towards life. While the Mehta Family is a true reflection of typical middle class, the Singh Family lead their life each day as it comes, and the Ali Family pin their hopes with every day of life…

The uniqueness of the show is that it doesn't stay with one story but introduces new ones every few episodes through it's gamut of characters and interesting new things that keep happening in their lives. Where every person becomes a character in his own right, but stays simple and real with their immense internal strength and passion, while juggling their hopes and aspirations and their troubles too

The show is produced by Anupam Kalidhar, directed by Siddharth Sengupta and the cast includes Varun Badola, Suhasi Garodia, Amita Nangia, Vishal Kotiyan, Manoj Goel, Ujjwal Chopra, Ravi Gossain, Vipul Tyagi, Aashish Roy and V.M Badola among others
