ok...

first of all, there are snakes here...yes... but in the outback...not in the city 😆 so unless your fiance is getting a job in central australia, you really have nothing to worry about.

second of all, it just comes down to this, does the relationship matter more for you or does the fact that you don't want to leave nz?

Like people before me have said, give it a go. Move to Aus...and if you don't like it, move back? But don't go there with prejudiced views...then you will never be able to accept.

To make this relationship work, one of you will have to sacrifice. It's all give and take.

But is he thinking of moving to Aus forever or just for a couple of years?

btw...i said ONE of you will have to sacrifice.

oh you know what, if his family is being an ass about it, why would you want to stay in nz where they also reside?

hmm.. thats complicated.. well i agree with bewafa.. one of u iwll have to sacrifice.
u can try.. if u don't like it there then u can move back..
if not then either he will have to quit his job in auss, or u will have to live with a long distance relationship...
u have to make a choice..

Yh the best option is to talk to him about it... I think you should go and spend some time there and see how you like it there... it will take some time to get settled as it'll be a totally new place... and you never know you might change your mind and will like it... however if you don't then tell him... atleast then you went for it and he will know that you tried for him and he should understand...
