Do you still like him? If yes, then try and spend more time with him.

Some guys are shy and take their time to confess their feelings. Maybe he's that type. He might have been feeling awkward to confess his feelings after he stopped talking to you when you confessed.

He might've thought that this time you might reject him... A lot of reasons can play into his not confessing earlier.

But what's important is that he finally has confessed.

Another thing to remember though is it could be that he's not really seriously and if that's the case then you'll be left heartbroken.

So I say take things slow and wait.. Try and spend more time with him as friends first. If you both continue to like each other then take things from there.
