The sets of the show '12/24 Karol Bagh' is outside Mumbai and the show has a permanent set in Chattarpur, Delhi. It is on a beautiful farm house of about 6 acres, containing a huge lawn, and greenery all around, with peacocks, parrots and an orchard with orange trees. '12/ 24 Karol Bagh' uses only limited area of the farm with the rest being maintained by the production. The production house has now enforced the preservation of the environment by threatening to penalize the unit members if they fail to keep the farm clean.
A source says, "12/24 Karol Bagh' uses only 5 to 10 percent of the farm. However, the production house spends a lot on maintenance of the complete set as well as the farm house land. Actors feel rejuvenated by the greenery around. There is a strict rule for disposing the garbage on the sets. Even if someone throws a piece of paper or litter the place with paper plates, they are liable to be penalized. The actors as well as the unit members are extremely careful, as a result."
To know more about the maintenance of sets we called the producer of the show Sudhir Sharma. He says, "I can't reveal how much we spend on the maintenance of the sets but yes! We spend a lot to keep the farm neat and clean. We have almost 7 to 8 gardeners and sweepers to keep the farm in blossom and they are all on our pay role. Although we have water systems, we ask for tankers to supply additional quantities if needed. "
Well, even if we forget about the money, you are certainly doing a great job by maintaining the farm and our eco system!
