Interesting point. Even if she did do this, what would that prove? She'd have to have witnesses to this act, and apparently the police have all be bought by Nakul. It might reaffirm for her that Nakul is guilty but it would not incriminate him.
The key thing that she would have learned is Nakul was guilt. However, she's so besotted by Omi she is not willing to think rationally and instead perfers to protect Nakul so she can be with Omi rather than take a stand for her sister.
I hope that at this point Simi takes a stand against Neetu for a) for forcing her to marry Nakul when she knew she was engaged to Abhi and b) for willing to ruin Mili's case in prosecuting Nakul.
