Many of you are just noticing the change is Simi's behavior, this "change" has been around for a long time - pre her marriage to Abhi. You will see it the first day she dates Abhi. She never once thanks him for what he did for her regarding RB. In those days I didn't notice it but if you go back you'll see it. It was only after Abhi confesses his love for Simi that we see this change really surface. It remains there until the day she marries him. Then, for 24 hours afterwards we get a glimpse of the old Simi, then she's back to the usual Simi. I have seen more of the "I don't give a hoot about Abhi" for most of the show. THIS is the Simi the writers always had in mind.

We, the unsuspecting audience wanted to see the courtship of a chubby, rejected girl who was relatively sweet, caring and nice. However, we have lost that Simi to a miserable, auntie, whose life is spent scarificing herself for her family EVEN after she meets the guy of her dreams (or more like our dreams).

The show is disastrous. Now, just think about how you guys are feeling. I used to feel the same way and there were few people here who could see it. Now you're going through what I went through today. I am three months ahead of you guys in the recovery process. Let me give you one sound of advice: LET ABHI LEAVE SIMI.

Simi's family has always been the centre of her existence as 'Simi di'. At the beginning of the show she got no appreciation from them esp her mum, nor any appreciation outside i.e. in the marriage mart. When Abhi showed up and showered his appreciation naturally she warmed up to him. But her self-image continues to be 'di' and now with her family showing their appreciation in bucketfuls (of tears) esp her mum, Abhi is no longer necessary as an emotional anchor.

Ek woh din tha when Simi called Abhi first when RB threatened her over the phone and got her dad out of KB Association - then nobody understood her in her family. Ek yeh din hai when Abhi might be the last to know about RB's latest threat - now her family is all over her.

Still Abhi has his uses, for removing difficulties from her path and rescuing family members, so she still depends on him. But not for emotional sustenance - that's clear from the fact that she rarely shares her emotions with him, does not trust him to understand sensitive family relationships and cries on her mother's shoulders.

The fact she ran to her mother for comfort tells us she has no use for Abhi anymore. Abhi was there when no-one in her family gave two hoots about her. Her purpose in life was to get them to like her and now she has it, there is no use for Abhi anymore. If anything, she has used Abhi on a repeated basis. The character is not likeable at all. Between her and Radika in CB, I don't know who is worse.

Simi has everyone with her now, her loving family, a naam-ke vaaste marital status, a job and everything.

So Abhi is not needed.

Actually overwhelmed by emotion when i write this....

She had called to talk to Abhi when she had no one to discuss the RB incident and she called him and met him at Qutb Minar

She called him and had the overnight call when her mother scolded her after she came back outing with him.

She called Abhi first when RB threatens her on phone and she tells Abhi...Tum samjho ya nahi, tumhe mera madad karna hi hoga.

She called him first when she needed money for Neetu.

She called Abhi when Neetu yelled at her and asked him to take her away from home.

She called him herself when she did not want him to be asking for her hand in marriage.

After marriage she is not concerned about the fact she ruined his long planned dinner and left him at the park. But when money is needed, she thinks Abhi.where from will he get?

And still he managed to get, she says it was childish of him to do that and lectures him.

She shouts at him prior to electrocution saying it is not true love he has.

She demands that she be told when he had taken money from Omi.

And when she thinks about Vicky's release she decided to talk to Nakul...and tells her mom also...woh maanenge maa...she decides to meet him. Her roka with Abhi was over then.She din ask Abhi if she should go ahead about talking to Nakul herself.

So Simi Sethi is the most matlabi woman...and not a sacrificial girl. She is just using people especially has used Abhi so much and of course does not reciprocate an ounce of love he shows for her.

i had liked the character a lot in the begining. and so is my username in the forum. I should change to a better one
