I think that Simi is not old but more or less nadaan when it comes to showing love. Abhi is trying hard but it is not seeping into Simi's brian yet. It took me a long time to understand Simi. I spent all day today just watching old videos of only when we had special moments of SimBhi. And one thing I realised is that Simi does love Abhi and Abhi knows this and he is confident that Simi loves him and only him. She does it very small ways. A smile at a certain time or a comment here and there.
The one that really comes to mind is the one from December 23....When they are in the park and Abhi runs away and she gets scared. When Abhi finally comes near her she hits him and makes him promise never to hide from her again. All this while Abhi is still having fun with her. When he realises she is serious and upset he comforts her. The look Simi gives when she is making him promise and then when Abhi reassures her this one of the examples of what I am talking about. She was scared before and later she is back to her shy self again.
I think (and it only makes sense) living with Manju for 29+ years has done a number on her confidence and her ability to believe that someone could love her as much as Abhi loves her. She is constantly looking for loop holes. And I think Abhi knows this and this is why he does not stay mad at her for a long period of time. Case and point....when Manju is telling Simi to go away from her father because no one wants her. Abhi looks at Simi and knows this is what she has been putting up with all her life. And even though Simi does not ask for it he defends her to Manju! The look on his face at that time tells it all. He just wanted to take Simi away from all this and he is just waiting for RS to recover. And when Simi tells Manju I did not do anything wrong to anyone, all I did was love Abhi. Abhi does not even flinch, why? Because he is confident of her love for him....That my good friends is my opinionđ

She just dose'nt want to give attention to Abhi as a wife and a soulmate
The consideration now is more of a friend a companion who is wioth her duroing the times she needs him as everyone else has backed off
She has to detach herself otherwise for the nest 10 years she will be woprryong abt her family and nothing else
Her chances of being lovede by her sould mate will never taake proirity if she continues o think abt her family
Its good to be around for the need times but the way she suddenlty nrought up Auj's lost job during a beautoful evening they were spending topgether was ridiculous

They have just concentrated on her family and her problems
