I totally agree Shanti. I think what attracted many of us to the show in the first place (apart from 'The Eyes' and 'The Smile' 😉) was the close to reality settings, scenes and characters. Now it has plummeted from mellow drama to melodrama 😠- don't know how much longer I can bear this.
These days I fast forward the the other scenes and only watch Abhi - I wonder how he keeps giving good expressions thru the zaniest scenes. They are probably giving him fewer lines these days as they are afraid he may laugh out loud when he opens his mouth 😆.
Agree completely especially with that marked in bold.
KB started with a middle class family life with characters that people like us could identify with.
A loving family:
RS - who is having a small garments shop, he's happy that he can support his family. He is proud of his daughters.
Manjuji - A mother who's aim is to get a suitable groom at the earliest for her eldest daughter so that the society will stop pointing fingers at them.
Simi - who has crossed the 'ideal' marriageable age, her weight issue, her frustration after getting rejected several times, etc
Mili - who is always encouraging and supporting her eldest sis Simi no matter what others say.
Neetu - A spoilt girl who is always in her own dream world and hopes that some day a prince charming will come to take her away
Anuj - The only son who is working in a bank but is not very happy with the job.
Earlier the scenes were simple and real-life-like with situations such that we felt we were part of the Sethi family and Karol baug.
But, now it is more of typical drama. A feeling of fear is there about what is going to happen next, will it be good or bad.
And AA are truly getting on everyone's nerves. Its difficult to imagine a son and daughter-in-law behaving like this with their own parents and siblings.
But still lets hope that the storyline imorves and we get to see and like KB as much/more than we did earlier.
