I have a hard time contending with the possibility of being wrong!! 😆)

I have felt right from the beginning that you are a like-minded girl too. But having said that, Dipa, unfortunately there aren't many like us out here. Well there are a few though and I guess one should be happy knowing that.
Life can indeed get a wee bit more difficult if you are different but then it all depends on how you manage to make your way about it without compromising on essential things. I have managed OK I guess and continue to do so and somewhere down the line, have managed to convert a few open-minded students as well. My mother would probably have been happier had I been less "radical" hehe.
This will sound like braggadocio, but I have probably forgotten more than many people will ever know ... yet ... the more I learn, the one thing that hits me straight between the eyes every time is how little I know!!!! So when I preach the curative powers of reading, it's because I've been practicing the drinking of that medicine for a very long time ...
I used to read a lot too but then that was a very long time back. Now I hardly have time to read. I keep chasing one deadline after another but do manage to watch a few excellent films with a friend who downloads them. From time to time I do read but not as much as I used to before. May be I should start again!!!!

I find really funny is the way they are trying to pass off a farm house as the Sethi home in Karol Bagh
I was just on the phone with Rani (our original femmedivine) and we spoke of precisely this! My recollection from having read an interview with Hunar was that the interior of Sethi Nivas is some rich mucky-muck's pad somewhere in the vicinity of the city, and that it had to be shorn of all of its expensive furnishings (actually they sounded really ticky-tacky) and redone to give it a 'Karol Bagh' affect! The exterior with the 'pink palace' is some place in the city itself. The T. Mahal is also a 'farm-house' (do these places actually have farms? I don't know since I've never been invited to a soiree at one 😃)
Where do you live Dipa? And what do you do?
Oh ... you haven't seen my 'bio' on the 'Introduce yourself here' thread? I live in California in a place called Sunnyvale ... from the standpoint of making a living, I'm just wrapping up a really long sentence in the penitentiary of 'aerospace engineering' ... from the standpoint of putting my earnings to good use, I do everything I can get my hands on (we can discuss all of that via PMs)
My mother would probably have been happier had I been less "radical" hehe.
Yeah! Wouldn't they all?!!

primo,
chere deeps, u need...absolutely need to watch 3 Idiots..(and by this i don't mean persuing the doings of chocoholix, the one without cause and 😳 ..yours truly..) for this coming quote...
"Jahanpanah...tussi great ho!! tohfa kabool karo!!"...without its accompanying associative gesture..for more details..view the film.. 😉 '
infidelity.(and this is a theme..i feel..that will come up in KB 1/2..guru grundy having a moment here...) is a matter of choice, not of hormones/age/weight/circumstance etc..in a partner if there is , by desire, a tendency to stray, he/she will find a way to do that...give it whatever excuse you want to..monogamy is not in the nature of a human..probably only sarus cranes and wolves do..but not man..it is a rule created for the establishment of a peaceful community..hence the scene of a certain Mr. Moses, standing atop a mountain..going thou shall not covet thy neighbour's wife..and 9 other assorted edicts of a similar..ish nature..
science deals in facts..it gives us a structured framework to test our hypotheses..putting forth a theory is not merely science, it is in the testing and conveying of results that science bestows upon us the wonderful gift of knowledge..ask mr. newton, who had to be hit on the head with an orb of rosy flesh and seeded womb..he then proceeded to investigate and test his theory..and the results then proved..well that all good stuff eventually heads south..take that as you will!!😃
what is truly exciting for me is how wonderfully interactive this forum has become..what joy to use the social medium of KB..to test and explore each other's thoughts..to learn and times acquire learning..to hopefully change and at times be changed by the thoughts and ideas of others...
that is growth..that is evolving..if you don't believe me...put it to the test..be scientific!! 😉

Whatever happened to the simple concept of Love, A phenomenon not even science can explain and a concept with no one definite dictionary meaning? Let it be love and accept it!

oh i agree!! i ..and i'm sure most of us agree with ur sentiment..what we object to is inane objections put up to blockade the road of love...age,appearance, hormones( 😲 ),family wealth, ..and all other extraneous riffs and raffs..
