KB, that is EXACTLY what attracted me to the storyline. But that storyline disappeared inot think air. At first I thought Abhi ws 24-25 and Simi 28-30 and that didn't seem too off putting. Then the ages were drastically changed. Then to add to it, we suddenly got an "I love you" declaration. I don't know what point Abhi fell in love with Simi and why. I thought they would meet several more times, Simi would meet Abhi's friends, Abhi would in fact encourage her marry Nukul and then eventually we'd find out that Abhi actually loves Simi (especially after he sees her with her braid down). I thought, Abhi would fall for Simi's innocence (note the phone conversation). He would feel for her sequestered life, her stress from her taunting mother, but oh no, he fell for what? Her sacrificial qualities, the very qualities he speaks out against. Serious, no-one knows what Abhi likes in Simi - we've never had that dialouge. The creatives are spitting out things for an audience that does not care for answers to these things. I finally ran into people who like the way the show is going and believe me, these women are not the brightest. These women are old-fashioned, not very educated and don't know much about the world. Their depth of understanding human behavior and the reason behind things is equivalent to that of a 6 year old. So Abhi electrocuting himself is for them, not us. I am disappointed in this storyline and I watch the show as I am curious, like to poke fun at it and chat with everyone here. I hope that the criticism here is read by someone and people might actually make a drama for people like us.
