Simi is thinking how can I say no to nakul saying no to him means hurting papaji. or should I say no to abhi
. there are so many troubles in the house and probabely anita will figure out abhi and I have something going on. May be she is right Abhi is not right for me but he is my love and my life. while saying no to nakul will hurt mama and papa. What I do now? ruin my life marrying nakul or ruin my family by going out with abhi.
In between 2 worlds
Ek taraf kartvay hai
aur saamne mera pyar
Ek taraf armano ki lash hai
aur saamne meri zindagi mera abhi
Ek taraf samaj ka sath hai
aur saamne kathinayia
Ek taraf maa paa ki aash
hai toh saame dildar khada hai
Ek taraf sapne bikhare huye lagte hai
to saamne sapno ka saudagar dihkta hai
Ek taraf zaher ka kadva ghunt liye ajnabi hai
to pass mere meri jaanki amrit may muskurahat hai
ab kise pakdu or kise chhodu
koi to mujhe samjaye
kya zindagi ko chhod maut ko gale lagana hoga
kya pyar ko bhul kartvay nibhana hoga
kya beti banke apno armano ko
apne pyar ko apne hatho se mitana hoga
kaise do raahe par khadi hun aaj
dono taraf haar hi haar hai
aiye niyati ye kaisi kismat hai

Ramas,
Nice poem. You have captured Simi's dilemma very beautifully.
But I didn't understand just 1 line towards the end - "dono taraf haar hi haar hai"
Why would either of the choices be 'haar'?
At one end is Abhi and the other end Nakul. So, why would choosing Abhi be a 'haar'?
By choosing Abhi, does Simi think the 'haar' is because her parents would not approve of such a relation? or do you mean something else?

or did I not understand it correctly at all? Thanks in advance.

...oh again, the poem was beautiful!!

thanks dear haar in the sense that her family has to go thru with so much in the society for taking such step for marrying abhi. as she knows anita na dher parents will not spare them. Of course abhi is worth all the pain. Simi always thinks negatively as she is very inseure.

OK, understood now. So, the other 'haar' is the haar of her parents. Yes, you are right, Simi thinks so negatively and hence that feeling of hers - 'dono taraf haar'.

I hope Simi remembers what Guruji had told her - path that leads to Abhi is long and toutureous one!

Atleast she has this Guruji to tell her that!! Imagine we mere mortals, it would be so easy if someone told us something like that - whats in store for us in future. Life would be so simple! Ah... thats a totally diff topic 😉
Thanks again.
