What a shameful attitude coming from the so called literate women for example Manju's friends, Simi's co workers and some neighbours who refuse their daughters to talk to Simi and her classroom is empty and no one shows up all the eyes turns at her as if she has commited crime.
The crime is actually commited by RB who uses abuses and throws girls away as if they are dolls for his amusement and entertainment.
Simi should be praised for exposing a person like RB in public. So next time he will think twice before commiting such crime. Simi should be honoured for showing such courage,
Mothers should give their daughters example of Simi and how she handled the situation and not talk rubbish,
The most disgusting were those 2 professors. They should be proud of Simi for what she did providing a example or role model to the girls or women in similar situation. Yet they totally blamed everything on Simi insulting and belittling her. How low some women can Go. and what kind of moral lesson such professor can teach to their students. All these women should understand Simi's situation as a woman and sympatize with her and praise her for her bravery and for standing up against person like RB.
Manju as a mother is a worst person to be around, she wanted her daughter to be butchered by kasai like RB in the name of her family happiness. And now that did not happen she curses simi more. How can a mother sink so low, God save daughters from mother like Manju.
I am a mother myself. I would not do such heinious crime and throw my child in arms of person like RB no matter what. Unfortunately such things are reality in our society and daughters are forced to marry for monetary and other advantages .
i hope serial like this wake such girls and parents up and such trade of daugters stop in our society.

Hey ramas - so glad you created this post! I said something similar in an earlier post.
I was surprised and disgusted by the way Simi's female colleagues reacted - one would have expected them to give her a standing ovation - she after all stood up for what was right and showed the way to many who may be in a similar position. But they only reacted negatively and with ugly barbed comments. They are a disgrace to the teacher profession - that's what I felt!
Manju ji - from the moment she heard - she was only thinking of neighbors and "biradiri" - she never once thought of what her daughter would go thru married to a man like RB. She hugged Simi with tears in her eyes when Simi decided she was going to marry RB - but was happy for Simi to sacrifice herself for her siblings. I agree - that kind of a mother is the worst - who's influenced in her behavior by society rather than the love and wellbeing of her daughters. She just wants her daughters married off - doesn't care to who!
Such examples are a part of reality of life - and I hope this does awaken at least some members of society. I shudder to think that our teachers who are supposed be a positive influence on society - can behave so negatively!!

Well,I have not seen the scenes that you have mentioned but i can't believe that a woman despite (might or might not have) knowing the fact that RB is a brothel loving person....whom Simi was to marry...and the marriage has been stopped cuz of RB can still blame Simi for all that had happened?? They must be ashamed of themselves!! How can women and her so called 'friends' can stoop sooo low??And one of those so called 'friends' supported on the fact that she should marry RB even if he is old or what so ever.....I am totally pissed right now!! Can't they understand Simi's situation? And Manju...just for the sake of the society's and their family's so called 'happiness' want Simi to marry such a freak like RB *shiverss + vomits in a bag* Poor Simi enduring all these torture from both society,RB and unknown torture from her family....It makes me sooo pissed i tell you PISSED...when i see any girl like Simi suffering...it might be 'just a serial but this is also happening in real every where around the world.....People of this kind should listen to this song - "Man In The Mirror" there is a line....in this song ....

It says - "If you wanna make the world a better place take a look at yourself and make the change"
These people should change for heaven's sake!!

Why Simi had to wait till the day of Shadi? To create a tamasha? Is she a moron and slow in understanding everything?

i completely agree... to think being women themselves, they'd understand where Simi is coming from and i definitely feel simi's mother is her worst enemy.. the way she ignores simi.. making it seem like its her fault.. makes me super angry 😡 so much for a mother understanding her daughter's pain.. definitely not true in this case.. but its real nice to see a father standing up for his daughters 👏👏 as for the community - some people just have no life!

i totally agree with you raksha di. i've already complained about manju's character in one of my earlier posts. she is totally unfit to be a mother. instead of being the pillar of strength for her daughter she only hurts, insults & belittles simi to the brink of hopelessness.
why? why is it a crime for simi to be unmarried? for all the sacrifices the poor girl has made for the family manju should at least be thankful to her. simi almost ruined her entire life by marrying rajiv bhalla and one of the most important reasons was.. yeah MANJU!😡
even if anyone else looks down on simi her own mother should be the one backing her up. manju should be the one who should speak up for simi, she should treasure a daughter like simi.
in an era where children send their parents to old age homes because they cannot take care of them, you get a rare gem of a daughter like simi who will throw away her own life to make her parents happy. but does manju understand that? HELL NO!😡 i'm too young to say that share the sentiments of a mother like raksha di but i'm pretty sure that in the future i won't treat my daughter the way manju treats simi.

simi would have actually gone through with the marriage if rajender sethi hadn't stepped up & stopped the marriage. quite the contrary. simi just has too much of filial piety, she loves her family too much that she would even marry a creep like rajiv bhalla for their happiness. in your books if loving one's family too much signifies that you are a moron than i guess simi is one.🤔

Well I also dont understant why she kept waiting to cancel the marriage till the end. Offcourse she created unnecessary tamasha. Moreover, writer/director want to drag the show. have you ever seen this kind of Tamasha in the real life? I dont know that creators of the show are living in which era. Atleast in Delhi no girl ( and her mother) would agree to this marriage how illeterate( or poor) they are.

well that's hard to say isn't it? are you sure that no girl would agree to a marriage like this in real life? i think it's a harsh fact of life that many middle-class or poor young women are forced to marry creeps like rajiv bhalla because of their family situations. how can you speak for the entire population when there are women suffering in reality? this is no tamasha. in this serial simi's predicament is reality that is dramatised but it's reality no doubt.

Nobody can say for the entire population but I am sure majority would not agree to this marriage.
