I'm having a strrrrrrrrrrrong suspicion that Rajeev's gay.... so his mother wants to get him married to achieve 2 targets..1- Rajeev might get attracted to Simi and 2- to 'show' the society that Rajeev is a Normal Male..........otherwise I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally doubt why Rajeev's mother is soooooooooooooooooo keeeeeeeen on getting Rajeev married to Simi because even if Rajeev is short n unsmart,in India still Dulhas are MORE IN DEMAND than dulhans.... if Rajeev's mother wanted,she could've got a very pretty(may be short) bride for Rajeev but she chose Simi as Simi's verrrrrrrrrrrry shy and sacrificing and Rajeev's mother knows Simi's background that no matter how much trouble Simi faces after she's been married to Rajeev,Simi will NEVER GO BACK to her Mayka😲

Lolzzz well the way he stares at other women he seems to be over aattracted to women...and for the same reasons i guess his Mom wants him to get married to a simple girl so that ...no one points out at her son.

I dont think Rajeev is gay, but hes heavily under influence of his debauched friends and frequents brothels. 🤢
I cant believe Delhi is so backward that a short, ugly guy like Rajeev would get a pretty bride! 😕 🤢
And Simi is quite pretty, although on heavier side.....but I agree Rajeev's mom wants a simple girl who would tolerate her bitching and her son's debauchery... 😡

I think the shows writers must have messed up when creating the character. The dressing style, the way of talking with hands, the gay lisp, Rajeev has all characteristics of a gay man - except he is lecherous and lustful towards women. All in all a terrible character though.

It is sad that TV creators portray an India where a simple good and actually quite pretty girl like Simi is compelled to marry the wrong guy who has no respect for her. Honestly, she may not find a dashing superman - but there are many ordinary good men out there too who will respect their wives.

Whatever type of person Raiv Bhalla may be but one thing is sure that the actor who is doing the role of Rajiv Bhalla is a superb actor. By his gestures, his dialogue delivery he has made us not hate but loath Rajiv Bhalla. My congrats to him and also to the casting director because he / she chose an actor whose personality perfectly fits the character of Rajiv Bhalla.👏
