Part 4

The next morning, Preeta sits alone in her room, still hurt by Ramesh's harsh words at the dinner table. Karan notices she hasn't come downstairs for breakfast.

Ramaa enters the room with a tray of food.

Ramaa: Preeta, you have not eaten anything since last night.

Preeta: I am not hungry, Mom.

Karan looks at Preeta.

Karan: If you stop eating because of someone's anger, you are only punishing yourself.

Preeta silently takes a bite to avoid worrying Ramaa.

Ramaa smiles and leaves.

Meanwhile, Ramesh is speaking to his close friend.

Ramesh: I don't trust this Karan. No ordinary man would marry my daughter without expecting something in return.

Friend: Why don't you find out more about him before judging him?

Ramesh: I will. If he is lying, I will throw him out of this house.

Elsewhere, Sonakshi and Ronit begin preparing for their wedding.

Ronit apologizes once again.

Ronit: I know I hurt you in the past.

Sonakshi: The past cannot be changed, but we can make our future beautiful.

Both smile.

Back at Preeta's house, Amba asks Karan to accompany the family to the nearby temple.

Although hesitant, Karan agrees.

At the temple, devotees gather for a special celebration. The festive atmosphere brings smiles to everyone's faces.

Preeta accidentally slips on the temple steps.

Before she falls, Karan catches her hand.

They exchange an awkward glance.

Amba notices them and smiles quietly.

As they return home, heavy rain begins.

The family takes shelter under a large pavilion.

Karan removes his jacket and places it over Preeta's shoulders.

Preeta: You'll catch a cold.

Karan: Soldiers are trained for tougher weather than this.

For the first time since coming home, Preeta smiles wholeheartedly.

Meanwhile, Ramesh secretly meets a private investigator.

Ramesh: I want every detail about Captain Karan—his family, his job, and especially his marriage with Preeta.

Investigator: Give me a few days.

That evening, Karan receives a call from his parents.

Mahesh: Son, are you all right?

Karan: Yes, Dad.

Rakhi: We heard about Sonakshi. We were worried.

Karan: Don't worry. Ronit truly loves her. She deserves to be happy.

Mahesh: And what about you?

Karan looks towards Preeta's room.

Karan: Right now, my responsibility is to help someone who needs me.

Meanwhile, Preeta opens the cupboard to arrange her books.

A photograph falls to the floor.

It is an old family picture of a young Preeta sitting on Ramesh's shoulders.

Tears roll down her cheeks.

Karan quietly picks up the photograph.

Karan: Your father loved you once.

Preeta: I know... that's why his hatred hurts even more.

Late at night, Karan walks into the courtyard.

He looks at the stars and thinks about everything that has happened in the last few days.

He whispers to himself,

Karan: "Life had one plan for me... but destiny seems to be writing another."

From the balcony, Preeta sees Karan standing alone.

She silently prays,

Preeta: "May God return every happiness that he has lost."

Neither realizes that, little by little, a bond of trust is beginning to grow between them.
