Chapter 44

After enjoying the whole evening and having dinner at the near by restaurant, the gang returned to the resort at night. 

Once they entered in, Sid directly went to reception and booked a room. 

"For whom you're booking extra room now?" Nithesh was puzzled. 

Everybody looked at Sid curiously for his response. 

While Sid turned around, retrieving the room keys as he simply replied "for me and roli". 

"I never thought you'd be so restles, Sid" Arun teased while others giggled. 

Roli looked at Sid in surprise. As everybody started teasing and giggling, she felt embarrassed and scolded Sid in her mind for throwing her in to such an awkward situation. 

"If you all are done talking, shall we go take rest?" Sid seemed not to be bothered by their teasings as he calmly responded. 

"Of course, you wouldn't wait even if we hold you" Arun continued to tease.  

Sid didn't give a damn to his comment as he held roli's hand and started moving towards the room, leaving others giggling. 

After entering the room, roli crossed her arms and stared at sid. 

"What's there to stare at like that?" Sid queried, looking at her. 

"What's the need for this room now. See everybody is teasing" roli said, pouting her lips. 

Sid's eyes instantly drawn to her lips, tempting him to kiss her. However, soon gaining his senses back, he looked away from her, rubbing the back of his neck to control his emotions. 

"It's for your safety. Didn't you say naina is here" getting a grip over himself, sid finally spoke after a few seconds of silence. 

Roli fell silent for a moment after knowing the reason before she responded "but, I also told that she's leaving today. And she might have reached delhi by now". 

"She said and you believed" sid raised his eyebrows as he stared at roli, who remained quiet at his statement. 

"And no more talking. I'm tired and I need rest" sid said before roli could come up with any other questions to ask and laid down on bed. 

"Fine. I'll go get my luggage" roli said in a low voice and went to the room, where ruchi and ritika were staying, to get her things. 

Sid closed his eyes to take rest but, couldn't find himself at peace. From the moment roli said him about naina and her words, he was really worried. 

Being well aware of naina, he couldn't even give a thought of believing her words. He knew what she could do and how psychotic she was. So, the only thing he could do was to keep roli near to him. 

By the time roli returned to the room, sid too went to the boys room to get his luggage. 

Roaming around for half of the day, they both were fully tired. Roli took bath and changed into shorts and T-shirt. 

When she came out of the washroom, sid was already laid down in bed with his eyes closed. 

"There's only one bed here" roli mumbled, standing near bed. 

"Then you sleep in couch" sid said, without opening his eyes. 

Roli looked at him with a pout. She thought he was sleeping. But, to her surprise he wasn't. 

"Don't want to sleep in couch, right? Then shut up and sleep here" sid opened his eyes and said. 

Before roli could respond, sid continued "anyway, this isn't the first time we're sleeping in the same bed". 

Roli rolled her eyes at his comment while her cheeks slightly turned red as she recalled theirs moments in car. Without any other option, she climbed on to bed and laid down at other end. 

Sid fell asleep in no time. But, roli couldn't, no matter how much she forced herself to sleep. 

Times passed and it reached 2 in the night. Still roli hadn't fallen asleep. She could only turn sides and watch sid sleeping peacefully. 

As she kept tossing on bed, sid got disturbed from his sleep. 

"Why are you dancing now?" Sid felt annoyed at the disturbance. 

"I'm not getting sleep" roli said looking at his sleepy face. 

"Then just laid down and stop doing disco dandiya on bed" sid said and continued to sleep. 

Roli watched his face for a couple of seconds and pouted to see how fast he fell asleep again. She then turned against him but, couldn't sleep. And after a few minutes, again turned to his side. 

At the moment she suddenly felt a weight over her. As she looked down, she realised it was Sid's leg. 

Sid wrapped his right leg around her legs, his right hand around her waist and pulled her close to him. 

Roli was startled at his sudden action as she was cuddled to him. 

"If you move again, I'll strangle you" sid warned as he was pissed off with the continuous disturbance. 

"I can't sleep" roli kept a crying face as he became domineering. 

Sid finally opened his eyes and found her puppy face staring at him. He slowly took his hand from her waist and placed it on her head as he started patting her. 

"Now sleep. If you can't, just stay like this and atleast let me sleep" sid said and closed his eyes as he continued to pat her head gently. 

Roli smiled as she felt her heart fluttering. She closed her eyes, resting her head on his left arm.

Next day morning, sid woke up first and got down from bed without disturbing roli. He slowly took her head and placed it on pillow and went to fresh up. 

After sometime, roli too woke up from her sleep which she got finally after sid started patting her. 

RoSid got ready and came out of the room together. At the same time, arun and nitesh; ruchi and ritika too came out of their respective rooms. All of their rooms were next to one another. 

"You guys got ready so early. I thought we have to wait for you both" arun said, finding rosid coming out of their room. 

Roli didn't understood the exact meaning of his words so she didn't react anything. But, others giggled as they knew what he actually meant. 

Meanwhile arun continued "roli, have you slept well last night?". 

Unaware of the hidden meaning of his question, roli innocently nodded as 'no'. Of course, it crossed mid night for her to finally get a good sleep. All thanks to her habit of 'not being used to sleep at new places'. 

"Sid" nitesh widened his eyes as he looked sid in surprise. 

"Shut up, guys" ruchi said, controlling her smile. 

While sid glared at arun, who was smiling sheepishly. 

"I'll deal with you later" sid said in a low voice to arun, who rolled his eyes and looked away. 

They all then had their breakfast and went to beach. 

Roli felt so excited after reaching the beach. She loves to play in water ever since she was a kid. So, she couldn't control herself as she tried to run in to the water. But, an arm suddenly stretched out across before her, stopping her on her track. 

She turned her head to find sid standing beside her with his arm stretching out before her. 

"What is this?" Roli asked in annoyance. 

"You're not going anywhere. Stay here and watch. Understood..?" Sid turned to roli's side but, was welcomed by an empty space. 

Sid then looked ahead and found roli running in to water. 

"Roli.." sid shouted her name, making her to turn to him. 

"Come out" sid shouted. But, roli waved her hand as she won't and continued to walk even more in to water. 

Sid held his waist as he glared at her, angrily. 

Roli started playing like a kid in water. While she was playing, a wave suddenly hit her legs, making her loose her balance a little. 

Roli got frozen at her place for a moment. Meanwhile another wave rushed towards her and this time it was stronger than the previous one so she couldn't hold her balance and fell backwards. 

With her eyes closed tightly, roli felt a strong arm around her waist, holding her from falling down. Her eyes got opened to met with a pair of piercing eyes. 

After realising who the person was, roli sighed in relief. 

"Done playing?" Sid asked as he helped her to stand straight, holding her waist. 

Roli looked at him but, didn't respond. With his hands around her waist and her body close to his chest, they looked extremely close and intimate. 

"No more drama" sid held roli's hand and dragged her out of the water. 

As though she was scared of what had just happened, roli too didn't say otherwise and followed him, obediently. 

Roli started making sand pyramids while sid was taking pictures of the sceneries around. 

While playing with sand, roli got an idea as she started writing on sand. She wrote "Roli Siddhant" and drawn a heart shape around the names. 

Keeping her left hand on her cheek, she kept admiring the names. Just like the names, she wished both of them to be together forever. But, her smile faded away as a small stone suddenly fell in the spot, disturbing the names she just wrote. 

Annoyed, roli turned her head to see who it was and found sid laughing at her. 

"What a kindergarten thing you're doing, roli" sid continued to laugh, raising her anger. 

"You... Kadoos" roli yelled at him and stomping her foot, walked away. 

Sid stopped laughing and looked down at his phone with a smile. There was a picture of roli admiring their names written on sand, which he clicked unknown to her. He caressed the pic with a chuckle as he recalled her pissed off look just now. 

Sid raised his head from his phone and found roli in a little distance and still walking ahead. He too walked after her as he called out "roli, wait". 

Roli, though heard him, didn't respond and kept walking, angrily. 

"Always making fun of me. I'm not gonna talk to him" roli kept mumbling as she continued to walk. 

Roli was so mad at sid that she didn't notice the person standing before her and got bumped to him. 

Roli raised her head up to shout at the person for blocking her way. But, her anger turned in to a smile as she looked at his face.  

"Sameer!" Roli smiled brightly at the person, who reciprocated with the same smile.
