Chapter 43

Next day at around 1:30 pm, RoSid with Nitesh, Ruchi, Ritika and Arun reached goa.

"Sid, I don't know why you've planned this sudden trip but, I'm loving coming back to goa" nitesh exclaimed, joyfully. 

"Of course you'd love it. After all you've so many fans here" sid teased him. 

"He has fans?" Ruchi frowned. 

"You don't know, ruchi. When we came goa last time nitesh was..." Nitesh quickly closed arun's mouth, stopping him from further talking. 

"I was excited... You know" nitesh said to ruchi before turning to arun and pleading through his eyes to not to say anything. 

"Yeah, he was so excited that he.." 

"Sid! Roli might be tired. Let's go take rest first" nitesh immediately interrupted sid and signalled at roli to divert him. 

While roli watched them in silence as she didn't understood what was happening. And same was the case with ruchi and ritika. They too didn't get their talks but, they left it simply as they both were used to these guys talks. 

Shortly, they all entered the resort and booked two rooms; one for girls and one for boys. After resting for a little while, they went to a restaurant to have lunch. 

Roli sat on Sid's left side, followed by ritika and ruchi. While arun sat on Sid's right side and nitesh sat next to him, filling the round table at a corner. 

After the food was served, they started having it while chit chatting among themselves. 

"Wow! Even after years, the taste is still the same" ruchi said as she scooped a spoonful of hot soup. 

"You've been to this place already?" Roli asked, surprisingly. 

"Yeah, it's almost three years back I think so" ruchi replied as she tried to remember the exact time. They all visited goa before that incident happened with ritika. 

"Let's not forget to mention that it was a forced trip" arun interrupted without raising his head from his food plate. 

"Forced trip?" Roli frowned. 

"We three boys first came to goa without informing these two girls. They were super angry and forced us to plan for another trip after two months of our trip" arun explained looking at roli. 

"You guys should have told us before right? It's not like we would hold you from going" ritika said rolling her eyes. 

"It was nitesh's plan not to tell you guys. He said we can't enjoy if you both are with us" arun complained, making nitesh to almost chok on his food. 

"why you're dragging me to the gun point, dude?" Nitesh said helplessly as ruchi glared at him. While all others laughed at his pity face. 

After lunch, they went to the mall for shopping. Girls entered in to an accessories store. While boys went to gadgets section. 

Roli was looking at the collection of earings. Suddenly she felt like someone was watching her. She immediately turned to look at her surroundings but found nothing suspicious. She saw ruchi and ritika at a little distance from her, they were selecting some other accessories. 

Thinking it as her illusion, roli again turned back to the earings collection and started selecting. She walked up to a mirror to check if the selected earing looked good on her or not. 

When she was trying on the earing, a person suddenly appeared in the mirror from her behind. 

Roli stunned to look at the unpleasant familiar face as she turned around to face the person. 

"You" roli jerked a little, finding naina in front of her. 

"After a long time, roli" naina said with an evil smirk. 

But, soon the smirk replaced with a smile as naina spoke "how are you, roli?". 

Roli didn't respond as an unknown strange feeling crept over her. 

"Seems like you still have a bad opinion on me" naina was surprisingly calm as she continued to smile. 

"Well, I was just shopping here before returning to delhi. And happened to see you so, thought to say hello. It's fine if you don't want to talk to me. After all I did hurt you a lot and I'm really sorry about it. I just realized how wrong I was to have such thoughts towards sid. He never even considered me as a friend. But, he really loves you and you deserve him. I wish the best for you both. And for now, enjoy your goa trip. There are really beautiful places here to see. I gotta catch my flight now, Bye" saying so, naina smiled, turned around and left without waiting for roli's response. 

Roli stood in utmost shock as she heard naina's each and every word. Even after naina left the place, roli didn't move and stared at the direction in which she left. 

After that room incident and what all she heard about naina, roli really had a negative impression on her. But, naina just came and apologized her for hurting her. It was something roli couldn't process with. 

When roli was still in shock, ruchi and ritika walked over to her. They were in a distance and there was a partition between the place where roli stood and the place where they were there. So, they didn't see naina and they were unaware of her conversation with roli. 

"Roli, are you done with shopping?" Ruchi asked, reaching roli. 

It was the moment when roli finally came out of the shock and turned to see ruchi and ritika near her. 

"I've bought this" ruchi said pointing at the heart pendent chain that was wrapped around her neck. 

"And I bought this" ritika flashed her hand where a glistering bracelet wrapped around her wrist. 

"You want to buy anything?" Ruchi asked. 

Collecting her senses back, roli shook her head as she placed the earnings in her hand back to the counter desk. 

"No. Let's leave" roli said as though she lost the interest to do anything. 

When they came out of the store, boys were already waiting for them. 

"How much time you girls will take for shopping?" Arun said impatiently as he was tired of waiting for them. 

"We haven't even started our shopping, yet" ruchi stated. 

"Damn. Nitesh, this girl is gonna scratch every paisa of you for her shopping" arun commented. 

"That might not be enough for me. So, I'll loot your money too" ruchi rebutted proudly. 

While all laughed at the funny expression of arun. Roli tried to look normal as her mind was still occupied with naina's words. As she didn't want to look tensed, she forced a smile which didn't fail to grab Sid's attention.

Sid moved close to her and nudged his elbow to gain her attention. Roli looked at him as he raised his eyebrows like 'what'. She shook her head as nothing with the same forced smile on her lips. 

"Is everything okay?" Sid asked, sensing something was off. 

Roli looked stunned at his question and she couldn't act normal anymore. 

"Guys let's go to park" arun suggested while all agreed, excitedly. 

"You guys leave, we'll join you" sid said as still roli hadn't said anything and he was sure that something was bothering her. 

They all nodded and left. While roli was thinking whether to tell sid about naina or not. She knew how angry he'd be whenever naina's topic was brought. She didn't want to spoil his mood by saying it. But, then again, if she didn't tell him then he'd be angry too if he knows later. 

"Ok tell me what happened?" After his friends left, sid turned to roli and asked again. 

After fighting within herself for a few seconds, roli finally decided to tell as she slowly said "naina was here". 

Sid's expression changed drastically as soon as he heard naina's name. 

"Did she do anything?" Sid held roli's shoulder and asked with concern. He was truly worried thinking that naina might had hurt roli. But, the next moment he was surprised to hear roli's answer. 

"No. She didn't. In fact, she looked different from her usual self and didn't say anything mean. She even apologized for hurting me" roli recalled each and every word naina had said to sid. 

"Are you sure she was naina?" Sid asked, surprising roli. As far as he knew, naina couldn't be nice to anyone. Thus, he couldn't believe naina could actually apologize roli. 

"I'm not blind. She was naina" roli stared at him. "And her behavior today.. I just got a strange feeling after meeting her". Roli couldn't understand if she was overthinking but, she was really having an unpleasant feeling, for what? Even she didn't know. 

"Just ignore her if she comes again" sid said calmly. 

"She said she's leaving back to delhi today. I wouldn't see her again here" roli said as she felt a bit confident after sharing the whole thing with sid. 

Sid didn't reply as he held roli's hand in his and walked out of the mall. The strange feeling that crept over roli's heart till now, was slowly started fading away as she held on to Sid's hand tightly and walked beside him.
