Part 7:

He left and Sakshi confined herself to her private sanctum feeling relieved that she could now be just herself!

She looked around and cleared up some mess and then retired to her room literally worn out after the exhaustive day!

She took a warm shower and had just pulled on her home clothes...the overly sized T shirt and yoga pants when she heard her door bell ring...

She wondered who it was at this hour...

She walked to the door to find out...

All along the party, another person had been observing Sakshi keenly...He saw her was talking to a guy whom she introduced as her colleague, some ACP...and then she was glued to that fool Neel...He fumed...he winced...he cursed that she had time for all but didn't spare a lone minute with him...

Shree had sure given her the best gift by inviting all her friends for the party but along with the group came a complete package of trouble too...someone who has been completely obsessed to Sakshi right from the college days! He had never made it evident for fear of rejection from her as it was clear that she treated them all as friends...nothing more...nothing less but it wasn't enough for him...He wanted the whole of her...he wanted to own her completely...but then life had taken them both to different directions and his obsession had taken a back seat for a while now...

But today, seeing her again...getting a feel of her closeness as she hugged him warmly, her haunting fragrance...her mesmerizing smiles...everything seemed to have hit him hard at wrong places...it was all caught up in his head and all over him...He was damn clear and stubborn that he wanted her!

None noticed or suspected when he gave a lame excuse and left the party soon after a quick dinner...but it was only to return back to spend private time with her...and there he was at her door step after ensuring that even the last guest had left...He watched Neel hug her and leave as the last person...

He stamped the ground in rage and ran his hands through his hair in frustration...He cursed under his breath as he made his way to her home again...

Sakshi peeped through the hole to check who it was...she narrowed her brows surprised and muttered, "Sunny?? Waapas iss waqt??"

She didn't have the slightest clue as to what he had in his mind because never once he had showed it to her...Not suspecting him the least, she opened the door..."Sunny...tum yahaan?"

He smiled and replied, "andhar aane ko nahi kahogi kya?"

Sakshi smiled innocently and moved aside to let him in, "aao na..."

As he walked in, she enquired, "Kuch bhool gaye kya?"

He replied, "haan kuch bhool toh gaya tha par ab sab yaad aagaya...'

Sakshi narrowed her brows wondering what he meant but then didn't doubt much owing to her ignorance about his intentions...She smiled and enquired, "bathao, kya bhool gaye...I will help you search for it...wait let me guess...mobile phone ya wallet, is it?"

As she turned around to scan the room, he caught her wrist and swirled her towards himself and huskily voiced, "YOU SAKSHI...ALL I WANT IS YOU"

She struggled to free away from him, "Sunny, yeh kaise batthameezi hai??? Chodo mujhe...friend hoke aise..."

He snapped her and replied, "main tumaara sirf friend nahi hoom...I want to be everything for you...tum bas meri ho Sakshi..."

Sakshi:[still struggling to get free and sensing the smell of alcohol from his mouth, she yelled] you are drunk, urrrggg??? Itna kaise girr sakthe ho Sunny??? I am warning you...yeh sab bhakwaas bandh karo and get lost from here...

Sunny gave a wicked smile and brought her closer to himself pressing her to his body, "haan thoda drink karna padha waran tumse yeh sab kabhi nahi keh paatha...[after a unsettling pause, he added]...waise jaane keliye nahi aaya hoom...agar tum khud meri nahi bani toh mujhe patha hai kya karna hai..."

Sakshi: pls Sunny...jo tum chahte ho aisa kabhi nahi ho saktha...you cant force me...

Sunny: kyun nahi ho saktha? Main handsome hoom, intelligent hoom, well settled hoom...whats wrong with me sweetheart?

Sakshi knew that fighting with him wont do her any good...he was in a terrible state of mind and could do anything to her...added to it, he was drunk too...so she calmed down and voiced, "tum bohat acche ho Sunny lekin main kisi aur se pyar karthi hoom..."

He was a little disturbed hearing that but he suppressed it all under a smirk and replied," kaun woh Neel na? Mujhe patha tha ke friend friend kehke aise hi kuch kichdi pakaa rahe ho tum dono..."

She snapped him saying,"Neel nahi...koyi aur hai...unnke seva main kisi aur se pyar nahi kar sakthi..."

That was a shocker to Sunny as all along he was thinking that Neel was his only competitor and now her announcing that she loved someone else shocked him but he wasn't the one to give up so easily...

He forcefully hugged her saying, "jo bhi hai, iss raat ke baadh sab kuch bhool javogi...I will make you forget everything...come..."

Saying that he kicked the door to shut behind them but before the door banged shut, somebody's hands and legs pushed it open...

A little before...soon after Aisha left, he felt guilty for having ruined her bday like that...On her b'day, he had given her tears and also made her sleep without dinner...No he cant do that...

May be Aisha was true...his reasons for behaving so strangely when it related to Sakshi was unknown...and while he contemplated and tried to understand his real feelings and emotions for her, he had to ensure that she doesn't get hurt...He had no right to hurt her or give her tears...

So he felt he should go back and talk to her...make her understand that his intentions were never to hurt her but it just happened due to his own struggling mind state!

He would also make her eat dinner...

So he started off to her place again...still his mind was fighting over the reasons for his concerns and care for her...was it just care? Or was it love?

He had just stepped out of the elevator and started walking to her apartment when he heard her voice...a struggling, miffed up pleading tone...and a rude male voice sounding more like a threat...

By instincts, he sensed some trouble and sprinted to the direction and he was just in time to prevent the door from closing...

As he pushed open the door wide, he called out , "Sakshi..."

He saw her struggling within a stranger's arms...hold on not a stranger really, he had seen this guy a little before at her party...Arjun had also found it strange that the guy was continuously staring and drooling at Sakshi...but then he had his own emotions to fight out with...so he had ignored this or rather forgotten about it...

Sakshi and Sunny turned to face a glaring Arjun...Sunny instantly recognized it as the ACP whom Sakshi had introduced as her colleague in ETF...and his brain also made some on the spot conclusions seeing Arjun land up in Sakshi's place at this late hour...

Sunny smirked and voiced like a taunt, "so, this is your new boy friend, huh?"

None replied back...Sakshi was too surprised to see Arjun there at that time and so she couldn't speak and Arjun was so flaring and angry seeing Sunny forcing himself on Sakshi that he too couldn't speak...while Sunny continued, "bechaare Neel ko kab dump kiya tumne???"

Sakshi snapped out when Sunny shook her a little furiously and replied to save herself from further tortures, "haan yahi hai mera boy friend...but I don't need to give you any explanations Sunny...main jab chaahoon jaise chaahoon kisi ko bhi boy friend banaa loongi...but get one thing straight into your crooked mind...You will never feature in that list...samjhe tum? And now just leave...dobaara mere saamne matth aana..."

Perhaps Arjun's presence had given her a new leash of energy and strength...She pushed him away with all her might...and she was free from him...

Before he steadied himself and caught her back, Arjun pitched in between them and punched his face causing his nose to bleed...one more punch and he lay crumbled on the floor...

Sakshi was horrified seeing Arjun's fury...she stepped in and stopped Arjun, "Arjun...plss stop...usse jaane dho...woh apne hosh mein nahi hai..."

Now Arjun's glare was enough to make Sunny wriggle out of her place soon...

Once he was gone, Sakshi took a few moments to calm down and compose herself...she pulled up her T shirt's neck line which had gone off her shoulders during her struggle with Sunny...Assured that her clothes were looking fine, she turned to his direction...

Arjun didn't leave but stood a little far away still cooling his anger and trying to comprehend his own thoughts...Seeing her in that state seemed to have undid something inside him...it had snapped him out of the pretense he was self imposing on himself! Now he just had to break open the barrier and bring her into his life!

She had to now confront him... She walked to him, "I am sorry Arjun...Sunny was drunk aur usse samjhaane keliye aise jhoot bolna padha...I am very sorry..."

He was silent and she felt that he was angry for the mess up...perhaps he didn't like her confirming Sunny's misunderstanding that he was her boy friend...

She thought that it was best to give him some time and space to cool down...she turned to walk away when she felt him clutching her hands...

She turned back to him slightly and he spoke up, "parr mujhe kuch bhi jhoota nahi laga Sakshi"

This made her turn to face him completely and he further explained his statement with a question, "tum kisse pyar karthi ho?"

He knew the answer but he wanted to hear it from her...

She felt caught off guard and replied stammering, "aisa kuch nahi hai Arjun...usse bacchne keliye ek jhoot bola tha...aur kuch nahi"

Arjun stepped closer to her voicing huskily, "phir se ek jhoot...tum shaayad bhool gayi ke tum Arjun Rawte ke saamne jhoot bol rahi ho...sacch bolo ya phir...[leaning closer to her pale face]...mujhe sacch ugal waane ke aur bhi tareeqae aathe hai jo tumhe shaayad bohat mehanga padega Miss publicist! Samjhi ya samjhaavum?"
