Part 6:

Arjun saw her dancing...on one side he felt happy that she was enjoying but then on the other side, he felt hurt, perhaps seeing her close with another guy...Why couldn't he see her in another guy's arms? Shouldn't he be happy that the girl who was always behind his back was so far away from him? but why wasn't he happy? Why was he angry and hurt?

He closed his eyes for a whole minute cursing himself for the wrong thoughts he was getting and then without a word walked out of the house...

Two hours later, Aisha stepped into ETF office with Shree and Chotu...

She told them to wait, "tum log yahi rukho...I will just be back"

Shree: Aisha batha na, itna bhi important baat kya hai?

Aisha: don't ask me anything now Shree...

Aisha didn't give a chance for Shree or Chotu to probe further but just walked into Arjun's cabin

As she had expected, he was there...swirling his pen and in deep thoughts...

She knocked and entered without him asking her to get in...she knew that he would be lost in his mind process that he wouldn't even want her to come in...

Arjun was shocked seeing her there at this hour...he sat up from his slanting position and turned to her as she walked in, "Aisha tum iss waqt..."

Aisha sarcastically smiled and then replied, "haan kuch kaam tha...toh socha aap se bhi kuch baat kar loom..."

Arjun looked at her enquiringly wondering what this lady was upto now...she added, "actually kuch poochna tha..."

Not giving him an option to respond, she quickly shot back, "aap Sakshi ke party se aise kyun chale aaye...dinner bhi nahi kiya...kisi ko kuch bathaaya bhi nahi, huh?"

Arjun's anger was raising with her unwarranted questions...who the hell was she to question him and he felt an urge to reply that it was none of her business but before he could get to shoot out those, she took over and added, "I know its none of my business but phir bhi pooche behair nahi reh paayi sir...[she just went on asking] aap ko party accha nahi laga ya party mein aaye log or was it...Sakshi and Neel's closeness??? [She suddenly popped the right or was it the wrong question which could touch his sensitive nerve]

Kya tha reason sir?

She finished demanding an explanation from his side...He wanted to reply back in his own SYS tone but couldn't...though she had broached into his private space, somewhere or the other, it was the reality and he couldn't get himself to deny it...

He himself had been wondering about why he had walked out like that...He was questioning himself as to why he couldn't see Sakshi with Neel! He was trying to find out answers to his own questions!

The lady cop wasn't dumb either and she had been observing everything keenly...she couldn't be fooled in this...all her questions were direct to the point and based on her inferences...everything true and crystal clear...

Arjun just managed to speak up angrily trying to escape the questions with his glares, "Aisha...tum shaayad bhool rahe ho ke tum kisse baat kar rahi ho...you are crossing your limits"

She knew that he would react this way...

Aisha shook her head grinning and sarcastically replied, "Nahi sir...mujhe patha hai main ACP Arjun Rawte se baat kar rahi hoom...woh Arjun Rawte jissko apne feelings bathaana bhi nahi aatha...aur chupaana bhi..."

Arjun glanced to her side and somewhere deep, he had mellowed down hearing that...he didn't show it out owing to his big ego but his glance wasn't anymore angry...

She continued, "main nahi jaaanthi ke aap ke aur Sakshi ke beech kya chal raha hai Sir...aur jaan na bhi nahi chahthi...but plz don't think we are blind to whats happening...none of us missed to see your desperate measures to save her...but I know aap kahenge ke sab keliye aisa hi kartha par aapke aankhen jhoot nahi bol sakthi... usski jaan khatre mein thi aur aapke jaan jaa rahi thi...I could feel it happening sir...aur phir usske ek invite par aap usske ghar party keliye chale gaye...kyun?"

Yeah she was right, why did he go to her house? Why did he message her first to wish her? Why did he feed her the cake and also expect her to feed him?

Arjun had no replies to any of that but then tried to shut her up, "Aisha, yeh bhakwaas baatein bandh karo...and stop imagining things!"

But she ignored him totally...she was literally on fire and wanted to vent it out...she had seen Sakshi's state and she wanted him to know it too...

She added, "aur woh paagal ladki...she tries all sorts of funny things to make you smile...usse bhi nahi patha ke woh aise kyun kar rahi hai...aap keliye aapke favorite dinner banaathi hai...I wonder why...silly girl!"

When she lost hope of a reply from him, she stopped herself from talking further and walked to the door...before stepping out, she said, "aap dinner kiye bina wahaan se chale gaye toh ussne bhi nahi khaaya...head ache aur bhook na hone ka bahaana kardiya..."

She didn't tell the rest of what she wanted to but then her eyes said it all and he heard her unspoken words as well

Aisha walked away leaving behind a bit stunned Arjun...she had literally shut him up and it was for the first time that he lacked answers or logical explanations for what was happening or what he was feeling...

The office was empty except for him...

Few hours back...Sakshi's eyes strained and scanned around for him...he wasn't there in the chair...where was he? She looked around but in vain...

She felt disappointment surging through her...may be he felt ignored or lonely and lost in the crowd...

She should have taken care to check if he was comfortable and at ease...she smacked herself for getting carried away by the flow of events...what had she thought of and what had happened...she had made his favorite food and wanted to serve him that but then he went away without taking dinner...

Her hunger died out too...she quickly tried to wrap up the party and played the perfect host serving every body the dinner...some how she couldn't serve the biriyani she made...it was for him and that remained intact even though he had left...

Unaware of her, Aisha had noted that she had cooked it and yet didn't serve it with the other dishes...She didn't enquire to Sakshi about it...Aisha also noted that Sakshi skipped dinner stealthily...Only Aisha realized that and enquired but Sakshi brushed it away saying that she had headache and will have it a little later...Aisha knew what the real problem was...Arjun sir...he was the cause of her sudden headache or rather was it heart ache?

She decided to let the matter rest and left Sakshi deal with it in her own way...But when she stepped into office and saw the light in Arjun's room, she couldn't stop herself from talking to him!

All started leaving...Neel was the last to leave...Sakshi promised to catch up again very soon so has to relive their past friendship moments...but not today...she was too exhausted and Neel perfectly understood that...

Neel: take care sweety...I will call you up tomorrow

Sakshi nodded, "hmm...we will catch up soon...bye...good night"

He left and Sakshi confined herself to her private sanctum feeling relieved that she could now be just herself!

She looked around and cleared up some mess and then retired to her room literally worn out after the exhaustive day!

She took a warm shower and had just pulled on her home clothes...the overly sized T shirt and yoga pants when she heard her door bell ring...
