Hello Arakshians, back with a new part...strictly for Arakshi lovers...others may not like this crap...so pls for ur own interest, stay away!

All those who didnt want the PMs but have got it because u happen to me in my list can just chuck me out of ur list...

Part 2:

Yes, something somewhere crashed down...or atleast a dent happened in those moments!

He couldn't somehow accept that his expectations or intuitions about what she would reply hadn't come true.

He had to find out. He couldn't be at peace till he found out what effect he had on her. he wanted to see and feel that effect for himself before he could rest today!

In those moments, all his indifferences towards her vanished proving that all of it was just false pretense...

He didn't think again but just dialed her number...He didn't know why he did that or what he was gonna talk to her but in an impulse, he called her up...

On the other side, Sakshi had just got calls from Aisha and Shree wishing her a very happy b'day...

They had a brief conf call together though Sakshi wasn't that interested, she couldn't say no to their enthusiastic planning for the day...It was decided that Sakshi would treat them with a dinner the next evening...Aisha and Shree teased her so much and made her laugh saying some crazy silly b'day jokes that she forgot everything else...but she didn't mention about Arjun's b'day wish to them even though it topped her mind...Somehow, she didn't feel like disclosing it to them at that moment...She herself didn't know why she hid it...

She somehow managed to shut them up and cut the call...

She placed the phone on the table and sunk into the soft pillow trying to sleep...Sleep was the only thing which could overpower her and forbid her off the wandering thoughts...and yes, it had the power to make her forget the past atleast for that brief period of time when she would be sleeping! One good aspect of her sleep was that she never dreamt! So nightmares never haunted her in her sleep!

She closed her eyes tightly but in a second it opened wide on the first ring of the phone...oops, she forgot to keep it in silent mode...She was quite sure that it must be Shree or Aisha again trying to play a prank on her or to discuss where they would go for dinner ...aise paagal pann toh woh dono hi karenge...She chuckled to herself as she switched on the table lamp and stretched to pick the call!

Prepared to scold them for disturbing her in her sleep, she took the call..."tum dono ko neend nahi aa rahi hai kya? Nahi aa rahi hai toh office jaakhe Arjun ke tarah koyi pending cases pe kaam karo yaar...mujhe sone dho!"

She didn't allow the person on the other side to speak till she was out with the entire frustrated venting out thinking it was Aisha and Shree...

His thunder like "Hello" shook her up...Sleep ran miles away from her eyes at that same instant...

"Arjun..." she managed to respond back still not out of the 2^nd shock she got for the day...it was a real jhatka and bohat zor se laga ke she was rendered speechless...

She tried to justify why she scolded, "sorry woh actually mujhe laga ke..."

Her searching for words of reasoning was abruptly snapped by him...

He didn't let her finish that, "tumhe harr waqt kuch na kuch lagtha hai Sakshi but I am not interested in what you think!...waise bhi din raat bhakwas hi karthi ho!"

Sakshi flared up hearing that...but she didn't have the mood to fight at that moment...she knew that he could never speak politely to her...so she ignored his rude remark and came direct to the point, "yeah right...par tum itne raat ko mere bhakwaas sunne keliye call kyun kiya Arjun? Is there anything urgent?"

That was when he himself realized that he had no answer to that...why the hell did he call her?...but then his eyes fell on the latest report that she had kept on his table...He hadn't even touched that file...He leaned and took that file in his hands...

It was nothing urgent but still he replied, "yeh report jo tumne diya hai, sab bhakwas hai...kitne galathiyan karogi Miss Sakshi Anand...ek baar dho baar teen baar...haan? uphar se tumne isske copy email bhi nahi kiya hai"

Sakshi was fuming...he was calling in the middle of the night and lecturing her on how to work and validating her work...So far, as a routine practice, she used to keep the hard copy of her article for the next day on his table...

When Sameer was there, he used to read it and also give her suggestions and other feedbacks...but now when Sameer was on leave and Arjun was the acting chief, she continued the practice of leaving a copy on his table...but so far, never once he had spoken to her on it or given his inputs to her...

But today, out of the blue suddenly he was doing it as if he had been doing it all along...and that too at midnight...Did he have to choose her b'day to fire her like this? She shook her head in disbelief!

Not only that, she knew that her report was perfect...there were no flaws in it...she had double checked it before giving it to him...so she was sure that he was exaggerating some minor slip from her side! She was damn angry but she didn't want to show it out...

She let a sigh of anger but kept her cool and replied, "Sorry Arjun...main kal subah kardoongi..."

Arjun was a bit taken aback by her reply...she didn't fight back or say anything in anger...rather, she accepted his accusation without any fault of hers...

First the formal simple thank you for his b'day wish and now this...He was confused by her sudden subtle indifferent behavior...

And the super cop didn't fail to notice the mellowed down tone of hers which was speaking volumes about her mind state...he was sure that she was upset...something big was troubling her which was taking a toll on her and that in turn made her indifferent to all her other small problems...

Perhaps, she felt this small accusation from her senior very minor when compared to the big problems that already surrounded her life! She didn't have the strength to fight it now...or rather felt that it wasn't worth it!

No he wasn't going to take that lightly...she cant feign indifference to me...his male ego shot back...

He replied, "mujhe abhi chaahiye Sakshi..."

Sakshi: abhi? Iss waqt??...Arjun...i promise, main kal subah jaldi aakar correction kar doongi...abi filaal plz mujhe sone dho...bohat neend aa rahi hai!

That childish reply and her yawn melted him...and moreover, atleast he knew that he had no urgency for that report...It was just his way of torturing her or punishing her for the indifference and his way of claiming self importance!

But with her plead and bowing down, his ego felt a bit satisfied...so he chose to leave her!

Moreover, Arjun knew that he was unreasonable asking for it now...so he replied, "Fine...but first thing in the morning!"

He cut the call without even wating for her reply or didn't say bye also...

"Khadoos kahika...ek taraf b'day keliye SMS bhejtha hai aur woh bhi first wish aur dusre hi pal mein itna rude banntha hai..."

She couldn't believe if both were the same Arjun..."kahi isse multiple personality disorder toh nahi??? Check karna padega!"

She grinned and sunk down again but then she got up instantly...

In 10 minutes, a mail announces its arrival in Arjun's inbox...

He clicks it open...its from Sakshi with her typical trademark reply...

"ek spelling mistake tha...galthi se hogaya Arjun...thanks for pointing it out aur woh bhi mujhe neend se jagaake...I can understand how urgent it was..."

Her taunt was evident in that reply...a grin cropped up his lips even without him knowing it...

"Typical Miss publicst...apna kaam ko accha saabit karne keliye ek mauka nahi chodthi!" He thought to himself...

But still he seemed to like that taunt of hers...and also that gesture of sending it to him with the correction so soon as if throwing right back on his face!

"filaal so jaao Miss Sakshi Anand...tumse main kal deal karunga..."

Saying that to himself looking at the email, he logged off without even checking the attachment...

precap chahiye...yeah as in the show...bomb bhi hoga, but i will be skipping that all and come to the b'day treat...biryani hi banaayenge na? aakir Arjun ka fav jo hai!
