Chapter 1
[NOCOPY]
[MEMBERSONLY]
Hello Arakshians, back with my crazy OS for yesterday's episode...
errors honge...maaf ho...and please leave ur comments...they mean a lot!
dedicate to my PC meri jaan...and all my friends here!
So here it goes...JUST FOR YOU...
It was around 10 PM when Sakshi came back home after that day's case...It was her birthday the next day but she hadn't told it to anyone. She had stopped celebrating her b'day right when the tragedy struck her small happy family...
She let a deep breath and decided not to remember any of that at that moment.
But still she couldn't stop herself from going back to her sweet memories of a happy past where her little brother and parents used to give her a midnight surprise by barging into her room at 12 with a b'day cake and a lot of gifts...Those were the happiest moments of her life...perhaps she had the time of her life and God had decided that she has had her quota of happiness...and so snatched away all of that in an instant...she missed everything...her dad's hug, her mothers happy tears and blessings, her brother's cute little gift which he used to get for her with his pocket money and the total masti they would have till dawn!
It was all just memories now...she sighed as she freshened up and came to retire to bed...she had wanted to update her diary but no today she was physically and mentally exhausted to do that...
If she opened it in this state of mind, her diary will have just tales of tears in it...She tried to get some sleep but sleep wasn't happening...the moment she closed her eyes, her family picture flashed across and she opened her eyes wide as if to check if she saw them all for real. No, she told herself each time, "They are gone for ever Sakshi...never to return back ..."
No, not all...her dad still existed...a mere existence...he was in coma for the past so many years with almost zero hope of a recovery!
A lone tear escaped her eyes and rolled down...She turned to the side table. It had her favorite Ganapati idol embedded with small colored stones. It was her brother's last gift. She cupped it between her palms and closed her eyes to get a feel of her dear ones all around her...She did that whenever she felt all alone in this world..
She didn't want any of her friends or team mates to know about her birthday. Perhaps they would find out from her records but she prayed that they didn't take that initiative. She couldn't handle a birthday celebration in her present state of mind. She would have to act and pose happiness and fake smiles all through it...
It was going be 12...her birthday...which only reminded of another year passed by without her family with her...and a beginning of yet another lonely year which she had live dragging along all her horrid past...
12:01 AM...her phone beeped...she knew that it would happen...must be one of her over enthusiastic friends...Shree, Aisha, ya Chotu...ya phir Liza...
Chuckling at her own comment about them, she leaned over to check the message...
The name of the sender almost through her down from the bed..."ARJUN?"

She couldn't believe her eyes...but it was true...On a normal day, she would be more than happy if she received such a surprise from Arjun but today, this message only gave her a shock.
She knew he must be in his cabin still working on some case files. And her b'day reminder must have popped up from the new software that Shree had installed in every system in their office.
As her senior, the acting chief of ETF, he must have done his part of duty...a courtesy of wishing her like Sameer would have done.
He did it exactly after 12 so that he wouldn't forget or miss it later. There was nothing more to this...
Her logical mind made her understand it very brilliantly and she accepted it as well...
She just faintly smiled at the message and replied formally, "Thanks Arjun!"
****************************
She had ignored her excitement and controlled her pacing heart beats...and somehow replied so formally to him without any hint of her real happiness seeing his first wish.
But on the other side, it did trigger off a thousand emotions and questions!
His phone buzzed and he picked it up with disinterest, ready to ignore her overly excited return message to him...He knew his message would have filled her up with happiness...Expecting all that, he just mindlessly clicked open the message...what he read surprised him...no actually he was taken aback by the plain formal message.
Did his big ego hurt? Did her casual thank you break his facade that he didn't bother what or how she reacted to matters concerning him?
Yes, something somewhere crashed down...or atleast a dent happened in those moments!
He couldn't somehow accept that his expectations or intuitions about what she would reply hadn't come true.
He had to find out. He couldn't be at peace till he found out what effect he had on her. he wanted to see and feel that effect for himself before he could rest today!
In those moments, all his indifference to her vanished proving that all of it was just false pretense...
[To be continued]
so how was it? pls do reply...
