Chapter 4 - Kya Baat Hai Jo..

Khushi kept her hand on the kitchen slab to divert her mind from his touches and spoke in a low voice..

Khushi-Arnavji put me down.. Aarav is looking.. Ar - - navji..

She was stammering and he sighed..

Arnav-Khushi! That's okay.. He's our Son!

Khushi felt uncomfortable but Arnav continued..

Arnav-Come on Khushi.. My son wants chocolate.. Give him what he wants.. Today am too happy to allow him anything.. Come on fast.. Don't make him wait.. I won't put you down until you grab that box..

Arnav was sounding different.. She reached the box and held it in her hands and Arnav placed her down.. Arnav took the box from Khushi to give the same in Aarav's hands.. Aarav pulled Arnav down and kissed his dad's cheeks and ran away.. Arnav smiled at his son and turned to Khushi.. He saw what she was wearing and frowned his brows..

Arnav-What is this? Khushi I told you to be ready in ur Wedding's Choli na.. Why are you still wearing this? Go and get ready fast..

Khushi (looking away)-I - - I don't want to wear that..And, I - - I am not in a mood to go out.. You take Aarav with you.. I will be with Nani..

Arnav-What the - - !.. Khushi, I dint ask you if your coming, I told we are going..

Khushi (looks at him)-Ha? So you will force me if I don't agree? *irritated* Arnavji what's happened to you? You were not like this..

Arnav-Khushi? I was always like this!

Khushi-Oh yes.. U are right..!

Khushi walked away a few steps facing her back on him and spoke..

Khushi-Your not even spending time with me lately and are involved in work so much! Aap itna kaam kyu karte hai? Aesi kya baat hai jo aapka saaya bhi rutha lage hai humse.. (What are you working so much? I feel like even ur shadow is upset with me..) *turns to face him* What about me? I too want your time, your company.. Now when you got time, you want me to attend parties with you..What about us?

Her voice choked and he felt like hugging her then and there to make her silent.. But just then she spoke smudging her eyes..

Khushi-You want me to come with you na, okay.. I will.. But you too promise me to tell me what's wrong, Between Us.. What should I do that you come to me at night, at least? Why have you become so busy from last one month? Answer me tonight..

Khushi left to change and Arnav felt bad to get involved so much in work.. But what else could he do? He was single handed operating Delhi's AR Fashions and opening its Branch in Paris and handling it all from India.. It was so difficult for him.. He was trying to do as much as possible by staying in India with his family and as he dint want to leave them.. But he dint realize that not going to Paris also made no difference, as he was not able to part from his work..

After a while..

Getting ready Khushi got down wearing what he asked her to.. She was looking drop dead gorgeous and Arnav was so feeling an urge to take her then and there.. They both dint get any time in the past few days for themselves as either he was busy, or she was not available..

Moreover, Aarav also slept with Khushi and Arnav since birth, as Khushi wished.. She felt alone during nights when Arnav made it very late and so that was another reason why Aarav slept with them..

Khushi came down and Arnav looked away to his son as Khushi came to them and held Aarav's hands..

Khushi-Aarav, you wanted to sleep with Badi Nani tonight na, you can sleep with her tonight.. Am keeping my promise, but you too promise me you won't make her tired with your non stop questions, okay?

Aarav-Okay Maa.. But I had one question..

Arnav picked him up and kissed his cheeks..

Arnav-Ask daddy Aarav..

Aarav-Dad, how did I come here? I asked that to Badi Nani but she told me she doesn't know.. Tell me.. Maa..

Khushi looked at Arnav and he was confused too.. She looked down feeling awkward and Arnav spoke..

Arnav-Erm.. Aarav.. Actually na, when you were very small, a God-Fairy came and dropped you here and since then your here!

Aarav laughed and his parents were confused..

Arnav-Why are you laughing Aarav?

Aarav looked at Khushi and spoke..

Aarav-Mom, dad ko toh kuch bi nahi pata.. (Dad does not know anything..)

Khushi could not help but look away and blush.. Arnav was confused with Aarav's last statement and put him down who away.. Khushi screamed from behind..

Khushi-Aarav we might be late, you go to sleep, okay?

Aarav turned to nod his head and vanished in his parents room to see tv..

Khushi looked at Arnav who asked her..

Arnav-Khushi, what was that?

Khushi laughed and spoke..

Khushi-Nothing Arnavji, he was just playing around with you.. Actually Nani replied him when he asked her this.. I know coz I was just there at the door when Nani replied him..

Arnav-Really? What did Nani tell?

Khushi-She told him how I being his mother brought him in this world..

Arnav-What the-.. Nani told all that about - -

Khushi's eyes popped out at his serious question..

Khushi-No no no Arnavji! Aap bhi na..! Are you mad?

Arnav-Toh?

Khushi-Actually, Nani told him that he was irritating God so much with his questions so God sent him to me so I can deal with him..!

Arnav (makes a face)-So stupid! Hmpf..! Anyway.. Come.. We are getting late..

Khushi's smile dropped as she remembered how he forgot about wishing her their Marriage Anniversary, and made a face following him quietly.. They sat inside the car and putting ON the seat-belts, he drove..
