Chapter 2 - Oo Re Piya..

Khushi almost slept hugging her son.. It was a long wait she had been experiencing lately for her husband.. And especially tonight's wait.. It was her and Arnavji's 4th Marriage Anniversary..

After Some Time..

Arshi Room..

Khushi heard a click on the entrance door and opened her eyes to see him back, Arnav was back..

Khushi got up leaving her pillow besides her son and covering him properly with the comforter.. Arnav saw Khushi UP and closed his eyes looking down.. Khushi came to him and took the coat off his hands and smiled..

Khushi-Aa gaye aap? (You came?)

She was happy to see him at the end of the day, but he seemed different..

Arnav-Khushi how many times have I told you to go to sleep with Aarav if I take time.. You should not wait long for me, take care of yourself..

Khushi smiled and looked down..

Khushi-I like to wait for you.. And Arnavji.. Its Okay.. I am good..

Looking at Aarav, Khushi said..

Khushi-Aarav slept.. You had your dinner, right?

She had nothing to say, but still she wanted to speak something with him.. He could understand this, but he was mentally too tired right now to sit and talk anything more.. Least he could do was reply her..

Arnav-Khushi, go to sleep with Aarav.. I will come in a while after changing..

He left to change but stopped in his track to turn and reply..

Arnav-And ya, I had my dinner..

Arnav left to change saying this and she was left with no options than to do as he said..

After a while..

Khushi was waiting for Arnav on bed and he came after getting fresh..

Khushi-Arnavji..

He slept with his hand over his forehead and Khushi leaned near him with Aarav still between them..

Arnav-Hmmm?

Khushi-Arnavji you remember anything? You know what date is today?

She dint get any reply and made out that her husband slept already! Never mind, she smiled and leaned more near him and pecked the corner of his lips and slept..

Arnav was awake.. He opened his eyes once he felt her moving back.. He remembered, it was their Marriage Anniversary today.. He turned towards his son and wife and held Khushi's hand which was on a sleeping Aarav, and dosed off.. Khushi opened her eyes and smiled.. Again closing her eyes, she slept for the moon to shine for a long time..

Next Day Morning..

Khushi was down in aarti and saw Arnav coming down.. She had got up early today, but when she saw Arnav all dressed up for his office, her face dropped.. He was no more interested in her, was he? He dint even care to wish her Today and she concentrated on doing aarti with Nani..

Arnav came towards her and called her aside..

Arnav-Khushi, come here.. Just a minute..

Khushi eyed him to wait and finished her aarti, and Nani left to read her morning newspaper..

Khushi-Kya hai? (What is it?)

Arnav-erm.. Nothing.. Just wanted to tell you, that tonight I am Invited to one of my old my friends Wedding.. You too come.. Leave Aarav with Nani, only the two of us shall go.. Be ready at 7.00 pm.. Okay?

Saying that, he was ready to leave..

Khushi-Arnavji wait..

Arnav-Ya?

He turned around and she went near him..

Khushi-Okay, I will come with you tonight.. But then, can I go to meet Amma and Babuji tomorrow? I am missing them..

Arnav thought for a while..

Arnav-Okay.. I don't mind.. But then, alone?

Khushi-Na, with Aarav?

Arnav-Will discuss it tonight..

Arnav left and Khushi said to herself..

Khushi-Only if you can seek time..

Swallowing the lump in her throat, she ran up to her room and locked it behind her..
