Part -11

THE HAUNTING PAST..

She shut her eyes tightly hoping not to see his face and turned back. the world stopped again. her legs were rooted to the ground. arnav stood before her. she can sense his hurt .just some hours back he yelled at her with eyes full of anger and now he stood before her with his head down. His temples were sweating inspite of the cold breeze hitting them. his veins were bulged at his forehead. slowly shifted his gaze from the ground to her.his eyes were of guilt and pain.she started melting down. She was about to take step forward but his words flashed in her mind.she thinned her lips in anger and started watering the plants again without caring that he is there.

OLIVE HOTEL

The room was decorated with candles and rose petals. The lights were dimmed and AC breeze was all over. There was a sweet fragrance all over the room of flowers. everything was red and seemed like it's a honeymoon suit. The couple were dancing to the tune of the song. the man leaned to kiss the girl but she pushed him with all her force and went to the other side of the bed grumpily.

Man: what's wrong baby? Why are you avoiding me?

Lady: you are cheating on me. What if you leave me like u left your wife?

The man nose flared in anger. he grabbed the lady's arms brusing her with his nail marks. She flinched in pain but he did not care.she tried to push him hitting his chest but he pulled her towards him holding her nape and kissed her roughly bleeding her lips. He drew back saw she is crying, he released her made her sit on the bed.he cupped her face and asked

Man: why don't you trust me lisa?

Lisa: I trust you shyam and I love you so much but'

Her words were interrupted by shyam. He kissed her again like a beast hungry for its prey. She pulled back forcefully and replied

Lisa: but im afraid to lose you..

Shyam: im not gonna leave you sweetheart.

She smiled at him but she was so afraid. His wife is carrying his baby. What if someday anjali come back claiming her rights? Of course she is equally rich as her brother is a rich business man. but what is she asked the child rights and expect him to look after the child?

shyam married anjali and also continued his affair with lisa all these years. He manipulated her that he loves her. Lisa is a widow and her husband was a rich business man. All his properties were wriiten to lisa. Shyam wanted to take control over her properties. At the same time he also wanted to be with anjali to take her properties too. But lisa said that she will transfer her properties to him only if he divorce anjali. Shyam hid the truth to lisa that anjali is pregnant. Othervise she will never to such a thing that seperates a father and a child. Noow she is scared about the baby. If shyam goes back to his baby what about her. Shyam is her life now and she has to do something or the other to make him stay with her FOREVER. Her thoughts were disturbed when shyam was kissing her madly. She was more than frustrated. She can never understand him nor he. She is very disturbed in her heart and he is kissing her madly. She pushed him and stood.

Shyam: what's ur problem lisa?

Lisa: you'.she said pointing towards him with her fingers

Lisa: you are the biggest problem in my life. Im so tensed and you..shyam ran his finger over his forehead frustatingly and asked

Shyam: okay tell, what's bothering you.

Lisa: what if you go back your wife?

He shouted

Shyam: ex- wife lisa''EX- WIFE. We are divorced. Lisa nodded in approval with her hands across her chest

Lisa: yeah'.ex- wife'? What about the baby? What if she claim rights about the baby?

He turned towards the other side and replied

Shyam: the baby doesn't matter to me anymore, in fact it hadn't come out yet.

Lisa: but it matters to me shyam..okay fine the baby doesn't matter, anjali doesn't matter'but what about money?

Shyam's eyes widened hearing the word MONEY. He instantly turned towards her and questioned her with his eyebrows..

Lisa walked around him while speaking

Lisa: what if anjali comes back and offer you more money than I have? More property than I have. Now all my property is in ur name'what if you leave me? You very well now that I can transfer all the properties back to mine.

Shyam rubbed his lips with his mouth in a wicked way. He very well knew that lisa saved more property forherself other than for shyam. Anjali is a waste of time now. Even if she wish her brother ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA will never allow him to that house. But lisa is right. One day defntly the burden of the child will come on him. He need to do something to separate the baby and that limping anjali away from his life. And after that he will snatch all the properties from lisa and fly to abroad. He smiled wickedly and turned back cupping lisa's face

Shyam: I will not leave you lisa'..trust me im all ur's. I'll never go back to anjali.

Lisa smiled and hugged him. She whispered

Lisa: I love you shyam'

He smiled wickedly and replied

Shyam: I love you too lisa'.and "ur money" he noted those words in his mind.

She remembered his accusations and instantly turned to the other side showing her back and started watering the plants. She was so hurt and only she knew how she felt. Why would she follow him and make him dance to his tunes? What need is there for that. She herself is a nun'WAIT he didn't knew she is a nun , is that why he shouted at her that way? But also, how can he yell at a girl in a cheap manner? She thought him something else but the outcome is something else. At one moment he protects and speak kindly and at the other moment he shouts hurting her. Thinking of all the things he said to her, the way he pinned her, a lone tear escaped from her hazel eyes. She wiped them and continued her work.

He took his slow steps towards her and stood beside her. She saw him from the corner of her eyes but did not care. Tears were spilling out of her eyes. His heart stabbed and pain. It was bleeding just like her. But how can he say? He came for saying sorry. But that doesn't solve the matter. He didn't knew how to start the conversation. His fists were clentched and jaw tightened, gulping down the lump formed in his throat. Finally he led out his words

Arnav: sheetal'.is my ex-girlfriend.

Kushi eyes shot up and shifted at him. His eyes were blood red, seems like even he cried. He is trying very hard to let his words out. She wiped her tears too waited for him to speak out. He took a deep sign and narrated everything

Arnav: I was not like this kushi. Everything was perfect in its placed. 14years back my parents commited scuicide. My mother came to know that my father is having an extra martial affair. On that day, it was my di's wedding. Our house was decorated like a bride. It was time for the wedding then we heard a gun shot. After hering the truth it was very hard for mumma to digest the fact that my father cheated on her. She commited suicide. My father was the witness of her death. Unable to bear the guilt he shot himself. Everything was finished. Di's wedding, our parents death'.it was all a nightmare for us. Our chacha ji threw us out of our house. We were on the roads for 3 days without food and shelter and then nani came like an angel. She took us to her home. Mami and mama ji stood for us. I worked hard and developed AR. I never believed in any relationships. Di's marriage life was happy. And then everything changed. A new beginning'..my PA Sheetal. He said closing his eyes. Kushi's gaze was settled on arnav. Now she only wants to listen to him. He have so much pain in his heart which he cannot express. These many years he was locked and prisoned. She waited for him to continue

Arnav: she joined in my office. I have to say she is very pretty, her smile was very innocent. She is the only one who dared to talk to me in the whole office without stammering. She also used to bear mu anger, forgive me easily again. She used to laugh and make me laugh.she taught me how to live. We used to go on dates. She managed all our office works and handled everything single handed. I liked her. She is very sweet, even di loved her so much. She took care of me loved me. I did not realize how I fell in love with her, deeply, madly. I couldn't stay without her even for a second. He said chuckling in his tears. kushi silently took her handkerchief and passed to him. He took it and wiped his tears. he did not dare to look at her. He knows he will breakdown. He never shared this withanyone other than di..he continued

Arnav: I proposed her on her birthday and she said yes. She brought me back to my life. It was the happiest day in my life. My engagement. It was done very grandly. She was the princess of my life. Everything was in good state. Our relationship grew stronger and bond was unbroken, perhaps it was my imagination that our love is faithful. Then the fateful day arrived. My schedule was planned to Mumbai for 1 week. With great difficulty I left sheetal here and went. I couldn't reach her cellphone or mail for three days. I was really tensed and worried. I informed aman and di'but they shouldn't find her anywhere. I came back immeadiatly and then me and aman came to know. Our biggest deal with the SCINDHIA'S is lost. it is snatched by RAHUL KAPOOR our rivals. I and sheetal are the only who knows the details and passwords. But how did rahul came to know our same designs? That was the biggest question.the other question is sheetal? Where is she? Is she in trouble? I don't know anything. I had two sleepless nights. I didn't know where she is. I felt like dying. We enquired and came to know that she is in Bombay. She left the day I left for Mumbai after my flight. This was a big question. I went o Mumbai and found out her stay. Atlast I came to know that she is xxx hotel. I rushed there. Many questions pondering in my head. How cum she is here? Why didn't she inform me? Is she okay? i knocked the door many times. The door opened slightly, he realized the door is open. I sensed her and cannot wait anymore. I barged in and the scene I saw was'..he closed his eyes tight gulping his tears with clentched fists. Kushi's hand raised to console him but she hesitated. Both were turned to the other side showing their back gulping their tears. he wiped and managed to speak

Arnav: I '.i barged into the room and saw her 'with'.he said gulping and taking deep sighs'.with rahul'kissing him and hugging him. He felt suffocated telling those events too her. Those images flashed in his mind. Sheetal kissing rahul, pushing him on the bed and doing all the things which he can never imagine. He remeberd what happened that night

FLASHBACK

rahul pushed sheetal on the bed and leaned towards her. Suddenly they heard a big sound. Sheetal lazily turned back and her worst nightmare came true. ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA was standing near the door witnessing thier whole act. She instantly got down the bed. Rahul was stunned , he can perfectly imagine sheetal's state now. After all he is the one who sent her to AR, planned all the drama. Sending sheetal his girlfriend to AR to trap arnav. Sheetal being his PA, trapped arnav in her grip , passed all the company's secrets and passwords to rahul. Finally he got the scindhia's deal. He lazily sat on the bed drinking his wine waiting to watcht the show now

Sheetal gulped down in fear. Arnav moved towards her takking step by step. His world turn upside down. His love, his life , betrayed him. He remeberd all the sweet moments. He felt disgusted for letting her rule over him. He thought its love and trust but it's a pure betrayal. Sheetal rubbed her temples thinking what excuses to give him. Her life is in a big danger.

Sheetal: ASR''VOH ACTUALLY'.

Befor she colud complete she felt hot burning sensations on her cheeks. He nose was flaring in anger, eyes were burning in red blood. She faked her tears and tried to get close to him but he stepped backwards.

Arnav: DON'T''.i said DON'T'.dont u dare touch me with ur filthy hands and disgust me sheetal

She faked more and replied catching his arms

Sheetal: ASR, don't you believe me ? I love you and only you. He is forcing himself on me. She said pointing towards rahul who is sipping his wine lazily enjoying the show. Arnav couldn't take it anymore. How cheap can one get? How can she lie still even after she know I witnessed everything? Enough is enough. Its better to get out of the filthy place. But shouted

Arnav held him more tightly, he left her at once and shouted

Arnav: ENOUGH!!!!

Sheetal took steps backwards scared of his voice. She was about to tell when his rand raised again but they were stopped by rahul's.

Rahul: cool ASR''.u cannot hit her'he drew sheetal close to him arms around her.sheetal cooled down as rahul is with her.

rahul: she is my girl friend. Mano that she has cheated you but actually not. He said kissing her cheeks. Arnav clentched his fists in disgust seeing his sheetal'wait she is not HIS anymore. His heart broke into million pieces which cannot be put together while sheetal's lips curled into evil smirk .

rahul: sorry ASR but she is mine''

unable to withstand the hurt , throwing a final angry glare at both of them he left the room broken

Kushi was crying too hardly. She constantly wiped her tears. her cheeks were hot burning like fire due to her tears. arnav shed tears silently gulping them down. Kushi's heart was broken listening to his past. How can god give all the problems to one person? Her heart cried for him. She wiped her tears.

Arnav: I was broken kushi. My heart stoned. Since then I never believe anyone. Darkness invaded me. I lost trust on the relationships. And I never feel bad about it because, when we loosen ourselves the world will take it granted kushi. The world is a stone not a fantasy or a fairy tale.thing

Kushi listened everything. In his view he is right . relationships give nothing but pain. But that's only half correct. She composed herself and spoke

Kushi: right arnav ji. Relationships give nothing but pain. So you wont come back to yourself. You will remain for the rest of your life like this? Pretending to be cold and arrogant?

Arnav cut her off

Arnav: im not pretending kushi

Kushi sighed with her hands across her chest and replied

Kkushi: okay'. You are not pretending. You are cold and arrogant arnavji. Im accepting. But what do you want to prove by being ruthless. Arnavji think once. Ofcourse I agree, sheetal ji cheated on you for money and for rahul. But arnav ji, they both are fine and happy now. They are leading their lives happily. The victiom is you. What do you want prove by being unaffected? The world will believe that you haven't moved on. Sheetal ji and rahul ji will be happy that they defeated you

Arnav clentched his fists and replied

Arnav: Im not defeated

Kushi: then come back to urself arnav ji. Show ur enemies that nothing can affect you. Show the world that you have moved on and living your own life. The more you try to be cold, the more world will laugh at you arnav ji. You hate sheetal ji rite? Don't you think ur life is ruined because of her? She doesn't worth it arnav ji. Life is too long to get hurt and give up easily arnav ji'

Arnav's eyes welled up in tears. she is right. Life is too long to get hurt that affects his whole life. Kushi saw his tears. she really felt bad for him. He have his own reasons to be cold. She gulped down her tears. she need to give him strength. He shared his past with her even they are not so close. She need to share his pain too. She didn't knew why but her heart felt a knot whenever he gulped his tears.

Arnav felt a soft touch on his palm that settled on the fence. He turned his gave towards his palm and noticed kushi' s palm on his. Butterflies flew in his stomach for the first time. Never this happened with sheetal. He liked her touch but not as kushi's. her palm was smooth as silk and very soothing. Her touch comforted his pain, Healed his heart. He saw her eyes, they were red of crying and her small nose flaring in red color. Her continues sniffing made her look more funny. But her eyes showed him something else. She shared his pain. He never shared his pain with anyone. Not even anjali doesn't know anything clearly about what happened that night in the hotel. At her touch his pain, grief vanished into thin air.

They both stood looking into each other eyes which spoke volumes. Her grip on his palm tightened. Arnav looking into the depths of her eyes slowly placed his palm on her's. she smiled at him in her tears and arnav nodded that he will be okay.
