Chapter 12

They stood gazing at each other with their hands enfolded. Understanding each other's pain and reading the depth of their eyes. The cool breeze hitting them brought back to the reality. Kushi jerked back and drew her hands back from Arnav's. Arnav looked everywhere except her in awkwardness. His heart is light now; he let out all his pain, his hurt and frustration out, which he didn't do it for three years. He saw her tugging her hair back even its not falling on her fore head. There is defntly something about this girl that is acting like a magnet. That is drawing him towards her. Then it stroked him that he did not apologize.

Kushi is in deep thoughts. Why her heart bleed when he shed tears. She felt a strong connection with this man. She never even had any kind of friendships with boys since she is kid. Now she is a nun it's not right to interact like this. But her heart argued. It's not wrong. Why should it be wrong in talking to him? Her conscience questioned her. She chuckled in her heart. She decided not even to see his face. But what had happened. She cried along with him and his touch on her palm'.created havocs in her senses. It's the first touch of a man on her body. She was lost in her thoughts when she heard his voice. He chocked his throat to catch her glimpse.

Arnav: kushi'.voh actually'im'.

She know it. He came to say sorry . she wont blame him now. Its her mistake after all. She might have not poked into his matters. She didn't kknow he have such a past with sheetal. She reminded him all his sweet moments with sheetal ji and also her betrayal. She decided to say sorry. Arnav decided, he has to say it. Bechari, she don't know anything. Its his mistake to yell at her and accuse her and calling her cheap. They both utterd the same words for each other at once

Kushi: sory..

Arnav : sorry'..their words were uttered at he same time. They smiled and arnav replied

Arnav: kushi'im so sorry kushi'im really sorry. I didn't mean anything which I said. I was'

Kushi cut his words and replied

Kushi: you were upset..i know arnav ji..its okay, im sorry I must'nt have took her name im sorry too, but there's a problem'she said with a stern face at the end. He narrowed his eyes in curiosity

Kushi smiled and replied

Kushi: you need anger management classes' arnav ji'

Arnav face broke in to laughter. It is the first time he is laughing whole heartedly..she admired his eyes and laugh. Suddenly she realized what she is doing and composed herself and brushed of all the thoughts.

Arnav stretched his hand forward and asked sweetly

Arnav: so'friends??

Kushi smiled at his sweetness. She hesitancy joined her hands with him..his touch jerked her. Some unknown vibration passed through her spine suffocating her. She instantly withdrew her hand acting all weird. Arnav smiled at his affect at her but didn't let her notice. Of course she wont understand anything. She is so innocent. He felt very bad for hurting her very badly even bruising her arms with his nail marks.

Arnav: kushi please don't mind about the things I told you'I know it hurts a lot but'

He saw a lone tear escaped her eyes. Remembering his accusations may her hear break. The way he accused her of her character suffocated her. She thought to tell him about her status, that she is nun so that he will never tell like that again. She was about to say when she saw tinky arriving there. She is really in a grumpy mood.

Tinky: say sorry' she orderd arnav and dragged kushi to stand back oh her so tinky can cover her and protect from this emotionless monster. Arnav's brow raised in a questioning face.

Tinky: what? What are you gazing at LIKE owl? She asked angrily. Kushi shouted at tinky

kushi: enough tinky, he said sorry. He is elder you shouldn't say like that.

Tinky: you wait didi'no need to become mother Theresa'.he have to say sorry..she said pointing her finger at him with other hand on her waist.

Kushi was about to say when tinky interrupted her again

Tinky: haan haan I know he is elder to me. His body developed but his brain is still undeveloped.

Kushi's eyes shot up widening openly. What if arnav ji get angry again? She was scared. Arnav took his steps furiously towards tinky. Even she got scared and clutched kushi.

Arnav's face broke in to smile. He bent down to reach her holding his ears and replied cutely

arnav: im sorry tinky, and sorry to tinky's didi'he said looking at kushi. Tinky for the first time felt arnav is cute. She ran to him and threw his arms around him locking him tightly with her tiny arms. Kushi adored the two of them. Arnav too drew tinky close towards him hesitantly. Tinky pulled back and kissed him on cheek and ran away shouting

Tinky: you are so sweet nannav bhaiya'..

He smiled at her cheekiness. At once he felt how kushi's lips would taste on his check. He got alerted and controlled his weird thoughts and both of them walked towards the main lawn.

Anjali spoke to Esther and buaji. They are really nice people except buaj's stern face. Her conversation with them was continuously interrupted by some blank calls. Irritated, se excused herself and went under the tree. She waited for the call and the phone rang.

Anjali: hello? Hello?

It got disconnected again. She was hell angry on the person who is so cheap calling and not speaking anything. Tinky waved at her and anjali waved back too. The phone rang again. this is heights.

Anjali: hello? Kaun hai aap? Baar phone kyun karre? Aap..

She was interrupted by the caller. She heard a familiar voice, the voice of her love, her life who lft her alone forever. Tears welled up her eyes and escaped her eyelids.

Shyam: rani saiba'his voice was very hurtful'it broke her heart..how much she try to avoid him, he is still her husband and her love..she cannot hate him..never..she asked in concern shedding tears

Anjali: shyam ji? Aap teak tho hai?

Shaym: no rani saiba'Im not okay..i have done a very big mistake..he faked tears over the phone.

Anjali's heart broke and yearned to meet him right now. But his betrayal flashed in her mind. How can she trust him again. but heer baby still needs father's love.

Shyam: haan rani saiba'.actually im not in relationship with lisa..

Anjali's eyes went wide in shock..what is going on? If he is not with lisa why did he leave her alone and helpless? Whats the actual reason? Curiosity built in her heart

Shyam: Lisa is my ex girl friend rani saiba'.she cheated me, she betrayed me..i loved her but she left me..he faked his sobs'then I met you, you became the light of my life..you brought joy..Listening his words anjali smiled sadly..waiting for him to continue

Shyam: but she came back rani saiba'she threatened me..

This was another shock for anjali. Why did she threatened him? what did she threatened? Her mind is in dilemma to trust him or not..she closed her eyes trying to gulp down the lump in her throat.

Shyam: haan rai saiba, she came back'she threatened me'she said that she will kill you if I don't go with her'anjali was continuous crying. She did not ever think about the truth. She thought he betrayed her. She thought he cheated on her. But what happened? She was wrong. Her husband left her just for her safety. So that she can live, her baby can live. She caressed her belly and the living creature inside it. Enough of now! She can't live without her husband anymore. Whatever he did, he did it for her. She wan't her husband back. And she will do anything for it. She wiped her tears and replied

Anjali: shyam ji, I have to meet you, now..i cant wait anymore.

Shyam : but rani saiba, sale saab?

Anjali: forget about chote shyam ji, I need to meet you urgently. Please meet me at xxx address.

Shyam: thank you for trusting me ranisaiba, I thought you hate me'he faked tears..im so sorry I left you and my raajkumari alone and shattered, im so sorry.please forgive me. Anjali nodded her head in no.

Anjali: no shyam ji, whatever you done was for me, for our family for our rajkumari. How can I hate you shyam ji? Im so sorry'.so sorry shyam ji. I couldn't understand you..I'm really a very bad wife..im..

She was about to continue when she saw arnav coming towards her. She wipes her tears and turned to the other side showing her back to arnav. She whispered fastly to shyam

Anjali : shyam ji , I will call later. Chote is here. I will meet you at the place I told. Shyam ji..

Shyam: teeke rani saiba'.

Anjali hanged the phone and composed herself. She felt arnav's hand on her shoulder and she smiled widely at him. But arnav found her cheeks wet and eyes red. He cupped her cheeks and asked her

Arnav: di, is everything alright? Why are you crying? You want something? Did anyone say anything?

Anjali hugged him instantly and cried her heart out. Arnav didn't get anything. Why is di crying? He hugged her back caressing her hair. He can feel his shirt wet. But still he didn't stop Anjali. Defntly she might have remembered her past. She has to spit out her pain and hurt just like him. He just caressed her giving all the warmth he can. Anjali composed herself and pulled back from the hug.

Arnav: di, are you okay? You want something

She smiled sadly and asked

Anjali: chote, water?

Arnav: ill get it di, wait..

Arnav was to go to get water when they heard a smooth voice

Kushi: no need to go arnav ji'

He turned back and saw kushi with water jug. She made Anjali to sit near a bench in the lawn and handed water to her. Arnav was just adoring her. What is she made of? She cares everyone as her own family. He stood admiring the both ladies..they both headed towards the hall. Tinky was blabbering with anji while arnav played with his phone constantly watching kushi from the corner of his eyes. . Her smile radiating, her eyes'beautiful, her hair spreading sweet fragrance which only he could smell. One thing is clearer'she is Defntly something special and something unique'.she has sum special qualities that is attracting him to her..he is definitely falling for her'he just couldn't take his eyes of her.

Buaji and kushi were busy in making sweets for some wedding. It was a huge contract. Tinky was explaining about weddings in Christians.

Anjali: waise kushi ji'.even Christian weddings seem fun'but you wont have mehendi, haldi, sangeet hai naa?

Kushi smiled and replied

Kushi: of course we do Anjali ji, we wont performe haldi ceremony once. They do It whole week starting with the bride's or groom's parents house. All the relatives pick each day in the week and perform haldi separately. We have so much fun'and coming to mehendi'Christians apply mehendi but doesn't make it a grand ceremony..just a small fun meet'that's it.

Kushi explained everything and Anjali listened keenly..

Anjal: waise kushi ji'even I wanna see a Christian wedding'seems fun naa'by the way when are you deciding to get married?

The hall was utterly silent'Anjali did not understand what happened. Arnav was surprised too..his heart pounced, something is gonna happen..he can feel it..some disaster..what if hse is engaged..but there's no ring..he waited for her answer

Kushi: what are you talking Anjali ji'.i cant marry'I mean how can i?

How can i? what is it? Arnav heart stopped beating faster and faster..nervously he ran his fingers on his temples..Waiting for her answer.

Anjali: what happened kushi ji? Why are you saying like that? Is something wrong?

Kushi: Anjali ji im a nun..i took an oath not to marry..

Arnav's heart missed a beat, it felt a knot. Happiness never exists in his life. What is his life going to be? Anger rose again'..what is she? A nun? How dare she take this decision..he is happy that he is falling for a girl like kushi, atleast she can understand him but now everything shattered into pieces..he stood instantly and walked away furiously
