Karan waited for geet at the parking of nuts apartment. Geet stepped down her car. Her legs were adorned with anklets as she put her foot out and tinkled. She wore a beautiful turquoise blue chiffon sari with a sleeveless blouse. She had matching bangles which jingled by her movement. Karan was blown away by her beauty. She looked gorgeous.

He walked to her and had a closer look. The ground slipped he saw a bindi on her forehead and then sindoor. He blinked again. He saw the mangalsutra. He gulped in all he cud utter was

K ' geet???

G ' u will be there na?? It's one day for u and 8 months for them. I told u it's complicated. I dnt know if they will even talk to me but its high time.

K assuringly ' whatever it is I'm with u and I will see to it that they hear u. u have some valid reasons I know that much of u. let's go.

There was a knock on the door. Karan entered first. Geet stood outside like a frozen doll. Karan pulled her in.

Everyone admired geet but meera was first one to mark the black beads. She walked towards geet held it and then gazed towards karan.

Karan nodded for a no. it's not me. Geet lowered her head.

N ' will u explain geet?

G ' im married.

Romeo ' when?

G ' before joining college.

What is his name? questions were thrown at her from all directions.

God damitt tell us who is he and y haven't we met him till now?

Geet stood with her head bent. Tears escaping her big eyes rolling down her cheeks.

K ' will u let her speak? He made her sit on the bean bag kept at one end of the room. He patted her shoulder. They will listen to u. speak geet.

G ' I dnt have answers to their question. It's very complicated. Even I dnt have the answers. She thought for few moments and then told the whole story hw she got married within a day, was brought to delhi.

He married me only to satisfy his daadi. We share no bond. We live in separate rooms. We dnt talk much. I dnt know if he exists for me or not so how cud I tell u all about him. U wud have asked to meet him when I dnt talk to him for days. How would I have explained this to u all then when we were not so close friends. Post that we never got an opportunity. Geet was crying continuously now.

N ' DM is his daadi?

G ' yeah

N ' she is so nice. She loves u na?

G yes

Riya ' what about your SR? Everyone glared at riya for the wrong question. But geet answered this too.

G ' We fought. He didn't like me and I told him that he is a moron. Post that we have separate rooms. We just pose for daadi that everything is fine.

Meera gasped at this.

Meera came closer ' geet does he torture u or something? U know beating, scolding or anything?

G nodded immediately ' never. He just doesn't talk. Provides me with everything and doesn't restrict me too. Money, car, my college fees, shopping everything. Never questions me. I can do whatever I want till I don't disturb him.

M ' Extramarital affair?

G ' I don't think so. He says he hates women. Moreover a workaholic has no time beyond his office.

Riya was there with another witty question ' he hates women... so is he gay?

This time nuts would have given her a slap but again geet answered.

No I asked him that too. He laughed and denied.

Meera held geet's hand ' kiddo did u ever try to know the reason of his behavior? Y he doesn't talk to u?

Geet ' he doesn't talk to anyone. He only commands. The only person whom he listens to is his daadi.

Nuts fumed ' leave the rich brat. Go back to ur mother's place.

G ' I can't. They believe that post marriage i am my in-laws responsibility. So y to tell them and make my ma tensed as they will do nothing for me. My family is very traditionalists they wont tolerate divorce or separation.

N ' then tell me the name of this man I will thrash him'ahh murder him.. How can he spoil someone's life and that too my kiddo.

M interrupted before geet cud mention his name ' y only geet's life? Two lives are being spoiled. Geet do u want to stay with him if yes then u will have to cover the distance. Question him'.ask him' at least try from your side so that u never repent.

N ' what if he still doesn't budge? Then u will get a divorce.

G ' looked at nuts ' I dnt know for sure. How will I survive alone? Should I do this? I just dnt know how to handle all this.

N ' we will all be there. U want to do ur MBA so go ahead do it. In these 2 yrs do whatever meera tells u but the day u have a job assess his place in ur life. If he forms emotional bond with u, if he can support u not only financially like now but in every way a relationship requires then u stay. Otherwise it will be my way. We will fight and knock him down.

M ' yes but geet we have to try to get to him. right? Its ur fault also that u didn't try.

Geet nodded. Thought for some time, wiped her tears and said ' thanks for all ur support. I will try to make it work but if it doesn't then I separate. I never tried till now but now I will.

Karan spoke now. All the boys where too stunned and were listening to the conversation from one side.

K ' fine now no one talks about this person again. Geet will do her best and geet never assume u r alone. We r all ur friends and are always with u whatever happens and whenever u need. Anytime anywhere just call anyone of us and we r there.
