Khushi had always been a dreamer...a bubbly chirpy girl, there was nothing bad in her life. Wonderful parents to support her, an elder sister to look up to...life was good.
Being a dreamy person, she always had a wish..to fall in love and experience what love is. All the movies seen, all the books read...she had to know what falling in love means.
She thought she would experience love when she got a crush on her classmate in 7th standard, who ultimately ended dating her best friend. She thought she got another shot when her father got transferred and she got a huge crush on her neighbour which went on for 5 years...He moved to UK and stopped talking to her and thus leaving her heartbroken.
She thought she would be in love when she started having real feelings for NK, the college hottie and her classmate. They both shared a rapport and friendship nobody had shared in her group of five which consisted of arnav, aakash and payal as well. She was there for him, helping him in his studies, talking with him through the night, saving money to buy gifts for him. It was his birthday, the day she eagerly waited for...she knew they both were experiencing the same feeling...the feeling of belonging. That day, he did not talk to her, she felt dissappointed...but she was patient...maybe he was busy with something. The next day he called her and told her that he was started a relationship with a new girl Lavanya because she proposed him first, and again...Khushi was heartbroken.
Then came her knight in shining armour Arnav..The days when NK and Lavanya used to romance in front of her own eyes...she used to sit and cry on Arnav's shoulder. ARnav had always been a great friend...they used to laze around and have fun. She could always depend on him..she was finally moving on. The day came when he took her to the beach and kissed her...and she responded..that was her first kiss and that is when her heart experienced her first "dhak dhak". She simply couldn't forget the feel of his lips on hers and staying away from him...that is when they decided to start their relaionship...Khushi's first real relationship
Arnav was an innocent loner who saw nothing above relationships. His girlfriend had ditched him once which changed him into an angry young man. Khushi knew he was short tempered, but she started seeing who he really is after the relationship started. It ws as if Arnav had a rule book in his mind- talk in the night, dont sleep wihout saying goodbye, no making fun of each other now that they are together, dress appropriately because she is "his" girlfriend, no talking to others, spending every hour of the day with him, not study without him etc..If she ever did something wrong..he would stop talking to her weeks together and she had to go and apologize profusely to him.
He tried to control his temper for her...when in good mood, he would shower her with so much love that she started to look over his demands to feel the feeling of being loved. Then came the day of placements. A huge company had come and Arnav and Khushi were excited to be together, they worked hard for that. On the day of exam, some confusion occured and Arnav went into the first batch to give exam and Khushi had to stay for the next batch. They hadn't had met the whole day and Khushi was very angry with Arnav for giving the exam without her. WHen she met Arnav, the next thing came as a tight slap. He blamed her for screwing his exam because he was thinking about her and could not submit the exam.
He was so angry that Khushi did not know what to do...so she decided to give him space and continue her exam. looking at this...he switched off his cellphone and did not talk to her for months...when he came back online, he called her a "selfish person" and asked her to not give interview if she ever loved him. They would study for the next company together but not this. Khushi being independent decided to give the interview and also got selected because of her good grades, which did not go well with Arnav and he stopped talking to her overall.
Khushi tried to put some sense into him that career was important at this stage of his life, but Arnav did not listen. He screwed up all the interviews and put the whole blame on Khushi and demanded a break up. Khushi loved Arnav, but she did not know how to put some sense into his brain. Her friends also tried to talk to him but in vain. The college got over, but nothing changed between them...
now one year later...khushi still waits for arnav, for him to realise his fault and understnd that career is important...more than love...and arnav is still not budgng...and she still has no idea "to be or not to be" who she is...
