Chapter 8 :
*Slap*
Khushi slapped him hard on his cheeks. He was totally taken aback from her action. She barked,
"What you thought huh? That I love you?"
I..um..", Arnav tried to say some thing.
She then, held Arnav by his collar, " What you thought, that if a girl hangout with you for some days she would start loving you? I have heard everything, Mr. Raizada...every single thing!"
"How could you do this Arnav?", she started crying.
"I..", Arnav tried to speak.
Khushi continued.."Hush! How could you love me so much Arnav? How could you?", she caressed his cheeks with one hand. Arnav expression changed from sadness to shock. He looked at her with confused expression.
She removed her hands from his collar and cupped his face.
"I heard everything Arnav that you were discussing with Sharma uncle. How could you love me so much?", she broke into tears.
"Shh...Angel listen..", she cut him again.
"Let me speak Arnav. I was lying here, unconscious. You could have taken my advantage. Spend a night with me and moved away. But, no! Even though you love me for past 5 yrs, you didn't even touch me!"
Arnav was shocked to hear that she heard everything..
"You...you heard each and everything?", he asked softly.
"Yah! You remember I called uncle, when he lied that you are not with him.", she sobbed.
Then she continued.."Uncle didn't know that call hasn't been cut and that's when I heard this :-
*Flashback*
"No no Khushi, Arnav is not with me.", Uncle put his cell aside and turned towards Arnav..unaware that Khushi was still online.
"I lied to her Arnav.", he said, while Khushi was shocked to hear that uncle lied to her.
He continued.." Yah! Tell me now..is Khushi the same girl?"
'Same girl😕?', Khushi thought.
Arnav replied.. "Yes Uncle. Khushi is the same girl I have been loving secretly for past 5 yrs. Remember the other day you asked why I love that cafe leaf..that's because I got a chance to see her. One of the funny thing was that, I tasted every dish and somewhere promised in my mind that I would come with her here, if ever I express my love, I will come with her there."
Khushi heard soft chuckles of Arnav and Uncle. Khushi mind raced back to the moment, when Arnav and she had lunch and when she remarked that she has tasted that for first time and he said he knew that she would like that dish. So, this is how he knew! She had tears of joy in her eyes. She further listened..
"And, the day I saw her here..I promised myself, that I would surely win her heart! Uncle today, when she came in drunken state..I just wanted her to make mine, but never without her consent. In drunken state, she asked me to kiss and I had to, otherwise she threatened to kill herself."
Khushi's cheeks turned into red with embarrassment and blush when she heard that he kissed her and she acted really dumb in front of him. Simultaneously, she felt proud of her choice.
He continued.." I love her! My love is pure for her and if she allows, then only I would touch her..love her, the way she described when she was in drunken state."
Khushi couldn't take anymore and she quickly cut the call. She kept staring at her cell and went towards the washroom. She stood there, staring at the wash basin. Then, she looked up at the mirror and touched her lips. It was swollen. Suddenly, a smile crept on her face... uncontrollable emotions was brimming out of her eyes.
*Flashback ends*
By the time Khushi recited him the whole thing, she was sitting on his bed, holding his hands...tears of joy, covering her eyes. Arnav got up to get water for her. By the time he returned he didn't find Khushi on bed.
"Khushii..", he called out in darkness.
Through the dim light of candle flame, he saw a being, sitting on her knees, on the floor.
"Khushii", he whispered again.
Khushi looked at him, sitting in the same position. As Arnav moved forward to get her on feet, she said..
"Arnav, I don't know how to express love. I just want to ask you something. Will you allow me to love you back? Will you allow me to return back the same love..infact more love that you have been showering on me fr past 5yrs? Will you allow me to share my life with you?"
She paused.
"Will you Marry me Arnav?"
Glass dropped from Arnav's hand. He didn't know waht he should say...how he should react..he just stood there silently...eyes full of tears...tears of joy. A girl, whom he loved more than himself..a girl for whom he aimed to achieve everything in life...a girl who was his LIFE...was asking him to marry her, make her his..Forever!
"Arnav...my foot is paining!", she pouted.
Arnav laughed at her innocence and rushed to bring her on her feet. As she stood up, she hugged him so hard, that Arnav was pushed back.
"So, is it yes Arnav?", she asked.
Arnav pushed her more into him and said.." It was never a NO angel! I love u and will keep on loving you for whole of my life!"
Khushi hugged him more tightly, kissing him, at the back of his head. After a long hug they parted and Arnav kissed at her forehead.
"Angel..You stole my lines. I wanted to propose you.", he said while cupping her face.
Khushi held his collar again and said.." Better luck next time Mr. Raizada. Btw, I told u naa, I want to taste your lips!"
"Khushi you already did.", he said in a shy tone.
"I was drunk.", she replied.
"Khushi, you must sleep now!", he again relied shyly. And before her could know, Khushi sealed her lips with his. First, he was taken aback, but quiet irresistible.. He kissed her back with same passion. Khushi, took his hands and placed it on her waist. Arnav pulled her shirt up, caressing her waist while kissing her.
When they broke for some air, Khushi whispered..
"Please make me yours today Arnav. Please shower me with all your love, you have been carrying for me for past 5 yrs..Love me, like you never have loved anyone!"
Quiet intoxicated with erupted feelings, he scooped her in his muscular arms and fulfilled her wish..made her his' forever...Till eternity!
