Chapter 8

Arnav felt a thud in his heart . His love , his Khushi was hugging a man ! He felt like pulling her way and take her sone where far and mark her as his .

He exited that place and drove to his office .

He engrossed himself in his work when he heard a knock on the door .

Arnav : Come in

He barked . Though his heart was hinting that it was his love , being in ASR mood he ignored it .

He heard small footsteps with the sound of anklets

Khushi : Arnav ji

That's it now he felt like hugging her and warn her not to hug anyone else again .

Khushi : Arnav ji , I have to talk to you

Suddenly he remembered how she hugged someone .

He turned towards her .

Arnav : What do you think of yourself ? How can you do something like that ?

He was shooting questions to her and was taking steps towards her and Khushi was stepping backwards .

Khushi : Arnav ji

Khushi lost her balance and was about to fall when Arnav caught her hand .

Arnav : Why did you do that Khushi ? How can you hug someone ? ANSWER me dammit !

Khushi : I don't have to answer someone like you !!

Arnav : Dont talk to me like that . I can leave your hand .

Khushi : Then leave it . I didn't ask you to catch my hand ..

Arnav saw a few boxes down floor ensuring her safety so that she doesn't get hurt , he slowly left her hand hinting her tone alert .

He didn't want to do this but this was her command .

He left her hand completely and she fell on those boxes .

She got up with the help of few girls . She marched away looking straight with anger into his eyes ..

She left the place .

Arnav was in his office till late night as he didn't want to see her face . As Havan was held today itself .

Just then Arnav's mobile was ringing . He answered the call .

Arnav : Hello

Anjali : Chottey have you both started yet ??

Arnav : What ?

Anjali : Of course Khushi ji came to your office na .. Aren't you both in our guest house ?

Arnav : No Khushi isn't with me !

Anjali : What ??? What rubbish are you speaking Chottey ? She isn't with you ? Our guest house is in constructing state and she left all alone ? Chottey I'm scared . Do something now !!!

Arnav disconnected the call . And was thinking . He was worried .

He hurried to their user house ...

Soon he reached there but he was hell shocked with the sight in front of him ! The site was destroyed totally !!!

He hurried inside and was yelling Khushi's name .. Then he heard a soft weak voice calling him .

Khushi : Arnav ji

He turned towards her . She was lifeless . She was standing with the support of the pillar behind her .

He took small steps towards her , he cupped her face and was about to say something but Khushi fainted in his arms ...

He was lost in her innocent face ...

He took her in his arms and drove to his house .

Everyone were worried for her . She was looking so pal and dull which was making everyone more worried . Doctor came and treated her and she informed them that there was nothing to worry about .

The Gupta's stayed there in their mansion for the rest of the day as there was no chance of going all the way back home .

Arnav was taking lots of care which made everyone shocked as they never expected him to do this for Khushi .

Everything was back to normal except for Arnav's anger ... He still didn't know who that guy was whom Khushi hugged .

Now everyone were busy in the preparations of the engagement .

They also decided that they would visit Kul Devi mandir on the same day of the engagement but morning .

Anjali : Nani I'm scared . Chottey doesn't want to attend any rituals !!

Nani : What ???

Khushi couldn't take this and headed towards his room . She barged into his room

Khushi : Arnav ji .. Why are you doing all this ??? Why did you say that you won't attend any of the wedding rituals ??

Arnav : That's not your problem .

Khushi : It is Arnav ji !!! If you won't attend any ritual , Akaash ji will feel bad , if Akaash ji is sad jiji will feel bad , if jiji is sad I will feel bad .

Arnav : So my absence will effect you ...

He said folding his hands .

Arnav : So let's strike a deal . I will attend the rituals only if you answer my question

Khushi : Ask me

Arnav : Who was that guy whom you hugged him the other day ?

Khushi : Why are you so interested in him?

Arnav : Just answer my question .

Khushi : You know what ? You are a shameless man . Character dheela ho aap !!!

She was about to leave the place when he held her wrist tight and turned her towards him with immense force which made her landed up on his vest and her hand pinned tightly at her back by him .

Arnav : How dare you say one thing like that to me ?

Khushi : He is my brother .

Arnav : What ?

khushi : The guy whom I hugged the other day was my brother , Raj .

He left her hand . She hurriedly made her way out of his room .
