~~~~~ Writer's Note : Adaavat ~~~~~
She is an ardent fan of my writings. A fan who not only connects with those fictional characters but each and every word that I write, she feels it, absorbs it and lives it. She collects all my shayeri and quotes them back to me even though I can hardly recall if I ever wrote them or not. She nominates me on all the categories on FF Awards and yet she feels my work goes unappreciated. She constantly seeks to ensure that my work is valued but hesitates if "spreading the word" would hurt me indirectly. She misses me and my writings when I go "ghayeb" in the middle of my FFs and pesters me to come back and update..at the same time she encourages me to pick up on my writings when I am having the so-called "Writers' block".
So, why am I writing all this? Well..this year, in March, it was her 18th Birthday and I thought the least I can do is do a thread for her with help from a friend (as I am crap at making threads). I did a bit of the work and I wrote this OS for her as a gift on her b'day. But my eventful life took a turn and I missed her birthday! By the time I realized, it was too late and I couldn't even bring myself to the thread to wish her so late!!
This note is to let her know that how much she means to me..that even though I missed her 18th and I may not be able to wish her on the many many more birthdays to come, I will always be thinking of her and praying for her happy life on each and every birthday that she celebrates.
The following OS "Adaavat" was written for her on her 18th birthday which I submitted as my 2nd entry for the Autumn Contest and out of the 38 entries, it made the top 5 by readers' choice.
