Chapter IX- Past & Present
"Mommmeee...Come fast please." Aarushi squealed while pointing at something.
Khushi sighed and left the kitchen to see what Aarushi was pointing at.
Yesterday Arnav had walked out of her life...Again.Khushi could not forget the parting glance he gave her.
"What happened..Baby?" Khushi asked with a smile.
Aarushi was very adorable...She could brighten Khushi's dull moments.
"See..Mommy...A 'Farrow'..." Aarushi cooed again.
"Its a Sparrow,Aarushi...And it is as beautiful as my baby." Khushi said while touching Aarushi's nose.
The sparrow was sitting on their window sill and both mother-daughter saw that another sparrow joined the first one.Then another Baby sparrow joined the other two.
"Awww...Mummy,see,,,Happy Family." Aarushi said innocently gazing at the three sparrows.
Khushi's heart pained while looking at Aarushi who had never seen her Father...
"Where is my Daddy...Mommy?Did He hate me..Was I a bad girl?" Aarushi asked.
"No baby...You were perfect.You are my wonderful daughter...And Mumma Loves you.."
"Then why?" Aarushi whispered as she stared with jealousy at the "Happy Family" of sparrows.
Khushi stared at her beautiful daughter.Aarushi wanted to be like everyone in her class.Everyone had a father who went to their Parent-Teacher meetings,picked them from school.But Aarushi had none.
"I don't know..He hated me." Khushi said fighting her tears too be steady.
"Mommeee..You are crying??" Aarushi asked in a worried tone.
"No...No..my Baby.." Khushi said while dabbing at her eyes.
Khushi knew she was being selfish to not share Aarushi with Arnav.
But if Arnav comes to know that he has fathered a daughter, He would surely take her daughter away from her.
"Mommy...I only want you..Please don't cry." Aarushi hugged Khushi's legs and Khushi smiled through her tears.
"I want you too..My Baby Girl..I would die if you go away from me..." Khushi whispered while pecking at Aarushi's cheek.
"Love you Mom." Aarushi whispered while hugging Khushi.
"Love you More, My Baby..." Khushi whispered the same line She used to say to Arnav.

"Am I ready to do this? " Arnav asked himself while clutching the steering wheel hard enough for his knuckles to go white.
When He stopped near the NK.LA studios,He decided it would be the best thing to go inside and finish the damn Interview.
"Mr. Raizada...Please come this way." A young man ushered him into the studios.
Arnav walked into the Studio twisting his tie into place.
Inspite of everything..He wanted to see Khushi even if it hurt him.
When He entered,He saw that Mrs.Lavanya and Khushi were huddled together setting the arrangements.
Why was Khushi here?
"Pam,Are you ready?" Khushi said in a dominating voice which made Arnav loose his senses.
"Lavanya...The light for the background is a bit bright...You cant see the faces...Make it a bit dim." Khushi continued unaware of Arnav's arrival.
"Go...CHANGE NOW,PAM!" Arnav heard Khushi scream.
"Why..?" He heard Pam ask in a squeaky voice.
"This is an interview not a fashion pageant.Change now into suitable clothes." Khushi said in a stern voice.
Arnav looked at the other woman too see that she had worn a very revealing dress.
Was Khushi jealous because He would see Pam like this?
Ha...!
"Lavanya...Has NK arrived yet?" Khushi asked Lavanya while setting the cushions.
"Khushi...My Darling Baby..." Arnav heard a man's voice.
Arnav was shocked to see a Guy with black floppy hair walk up to Khushi and hug her.
'So..This is the Guy who stole My Khushi' ...Arnav thought with a shocked expression.
This was the Guy who Arnav had seen with Khushi before their divorce.
"Why are you so happy,Today?" Khushi asked with a smile which was reserved for Arnav in the past.
Arnav's heart stopped looking at that smile.
"Today is our 3rd anniversary." The guy said.
Arnav felt his heart sink...Khushi had married this guy just after their divorce.The same guy with whom she had an affair.So the rumor was true.
Khushi had cheated on Arnav.

Khushi looked at her another best friend- NK- Lavanya's Husband.
He seemed happy today which reflected in his eyes.
"Why are you so happy,Today?" Khushi asked with a smile.
"Today is our 3rd anniversary." NK said in a sing-song way.
Khushi smiled lovingly.NK was like a brother and Khushi was happy that he had found his soul mate in Lavanya.
"So...What are you still doing here..?? Go and enjoy.." Khushi said and winked.
"Have you prepared for the evening surprise." NK asked.
"Yes...Ever Ready.." Khushi said smiling at him while NK smiled and walked away.
"So...He is your husband?" A voice boomed from across the room.
Damn.
When did he come?
"What are you doing here..?" Khushi growled turning back.
"I thought Mr.NK said we had a Interview to finish." Arnav said shrugging his shoulders coolly.
One Minute...
Arnav thinks NK is her husband.
But he does not know that NK is actually the one who called him for the interview and was the one talking to me now.
He also does not know that NK is Lavanya's Husband not Khushi's.
Interesting.
"Whatever.Pam is doing the interiew." Khushi shrugged and looked around to notice the set was deserted..AGAIN???
'Why did everyone just leaves when we both were alone?'...Khushi thought.
Khushi cursed Lavanya under her breath but stopped when she heard a voice...
"Mooommmaaa...I am Here..."
Damn.
