Chapter I- Meet Your Fate
"Bloody Insane!!!." Khushi screamed as she stared at Lavanya who gave a casual shrug of her shoulder to show she was not affected by Khushi's screaming.
"You know you are my only acceptable choice.I can't find another one on such short notice." Lavanya said with so much sincerity,Khushi had to pause.
After all ,It was Khushi's work and it was not appropriate to oppose.
"Why can't Pam do the job? Khushi screamed as she kept a trembling hand on her forehead.Her breathing was uneven as she thought of all the possibilties.This was cruel,Fate was cruel.
"Pam is on holiday.." Lavanya explained.But
Khushi was in no mood to hear a word,not now when her life was swinging like a pendulum.
"What about Someone else?" Khushi inquired as she swept through the file Lavanya had given her to do .
"Everyone is busy with some assignment.Khushi why are you being so difficult?" Lavanya complained."
"Lavanya please change the date so that someone can take my place." Khushi acted as if she did not hear Lavanya complain.
"Khushi,This is beyond stupid,You need to let the past go.Take this as a closing chapter.You really need to move on...," Lavanya said with a frown.
Khushi Kumari Gupta was working in a famous T.V channel which had rights from the famous NK.LA studios owned by her friends, NK and Lavanya who were married.The channel interviewed a famous T.V personality every Sunday.
"MOVE ON? Let the past go? How do you suggest I do it?" Khushi was angry. It was only Lavanya who knew everything about Khushi's life and still Lavanya insisted on doing this to her.
"Meet him,talk to him,and show him that he does not affect you anymore."
If only that were so easy, Khushi thought sarcastically.
Even seeing him on magazines and television meant so much to her.How could she meet him again,face-to-face?...Impossible.
"Do you know what you are saying?? Yes he does affect me..!" I yelled at Lavanya for no reason.
"Then take him as a challenge.Say good-bye to the past." Lavanya growled.
Lavanya looked at her friend in perspective.Yes,Arnav Singh Raizada still affected her friend.Khushi really deserved someone better than ASR.But for that Khushi needs to forget him and move on.
"How can I say good-bye to the past? How can I do that when it is on display in front of my face every second." Khushi asked with slight irritation in her voice.
Damn,She wanted to forget but she couldn't.
"You will do this and I don't want to listen a 'no' as your answer!" Lavanya said sternly and left with the fast clatter of her six inches on the marble floor.
"And then I will go and die in the corner..!" Khushi closed her eyes and let the tears flow which they always did whenever she thought about him or his betrayal.
Fate was not on her side.
