Part 20A:
He slowly took her hands in his...she was too stunned to react...so she stayed still fixed to her tracks...he took her hand to his heart...placing it there, he voiced, "mehsoos karo ke mera dil kya keh raha hai..."
Aisha didn't utter a word but just stood mesmerized as if enchanted by his gesture!
He added still holding her palm against his chest, "bolo na Aisha, do you feel the same way as I feel for you?"

Aisha was just about to nod and say yes when it struck in her mind like a lightening that he was already married...She was reminded of that phone call!
She pulled back her hand from him instantly and replied, "Sir yeh galat hai...I don't want to become the cause of problems in your family"
Sameer wondered what she was talking about and replied, "Aisha, my family is not so conservative...I live the way I want to...kisi ko koyi problem nahi hogi! Agar koyi problem hai toh bhi main unne samjhaa saktha hoom..."
Aisha: [Shocked would be an understatement] WHAT?? Unne problem nahi hogi parr mujhe hai Sir...I would never want to become a second woman in your life...na hi aapke ghar ko thodke aapke wife banna chahthi hoom...Just forget all this aur aapke wife ke saath khush rahiye...
It was Sameer who was more than shocked now...she thought that he was married already...did he look so old? Yeah he was well past the normal marriage age but how could she assume that he was married...He was damn pissed off and annoyed...He turned away from her to get a grip on his anger...
Then slowly mellowed down and then turned back to her...
He grabbed her shoulders stunning her totally and voiced, "Aisha, maantha hoom ke mere shaadi ka umar ho gayi hai parr isska yeh matlab nahi ke tum mere ek non existent wife aur family life ke kahaani banaogi, huh? Agar mujhe na pasand karthi ho toh woh baat seedhe seedhe keh dho na...aise bahaane banaane ki zaroorat nahi hai...yes or no, whatever your reply is, humaare beech ka dhosti ya professional relationship affect nahi hoga...thats a promise..."
Aisha listened to him and she could see the truth in his eyes...she realized that she had misunderstood him big time...but that phone call and the lady?? Who was she? Then it occurred to her that she had assumed and guessed things without any solid basis...
But still, she didn't want to keep that doubt dangling...so she voiced, "toh phir aapke phone mein Mrs Rathod kaun hai? isnt she your wife?"
That was totally unexpected by Sameer...he just cracked up and laughed out...Aisha rolled her eyes and enquired, "Whats so funny?"
Sameer replied amidst his laughs, "agar meri maa yeh baat sunegi toh woh bhi hasegi..."
Aisha narrowed her brows and then realized her slip...she enquired, "matlab Mrs Rathod aapki Maa..."
She stopped her words mid way and sheepishly looked away from him...she was feeling totally embarrassed for having made such a guess...
But then instantly, she turned back to him and hit his upper arm saying, "koyi apne maa ko aise Mrs Rathod bhulaatha hai kya? You confused me totally!"
Sameer caught her hand before the next punch replying, "humaare equations kuch aisa hi hai Aisha...she is more like my friend...par haan main unne maa hi bhulaatha hoom...its just that phone mein aisa save kar diya...nothing more to it!"
Aisha couldn't judge if she was more relieved to know it or was she amazed by the warm and friendly family of his! She was getting good vibes already...she would be lucky if she were to...
Her thoughts ceased and she just smiled it away smacking herself for having thought so far...here they were yet to cross the confession stage and she was already thinking about entering his family as his wife and their daughter-in-law!
Her hands were still in his and oblivious to it, they were both smiling and were in their own thoughts...
She snapped out when he enquired in the same trance mode, "iss smile ka matlab haan hai na?"
Aisha looked into his eyes and then suddenly realized that it was a crucial question now...she teased him by saying, "ab toh seriously sochna padega!"
Sameer nudged her fingers and didn't leave her while he voiced, "kyun? Do you want to find out if I have a second wife and kids, huh?"
Aisha laughed out...he couldn't resist looking at her...she looked beautiful...He was seeing her laugh so much for the first time...all their previous close encounters ran past his mind...
He wasn't able to leave her hand nor stop gazing at her...In those few moments, he realized how much he was in love with her...he hadn't even realized when he fell in love with her! There was no way that he could let her go away from his life!
He pulled her closer and spoke up looking into her deep eyes, "Aisha, pehli waali, dusri waali ko chodo...agar tum haan nahi boli toh mere life mein wife ka post shaayad khaali hi rahega!"
Aisha couldn't help laughing at that...was he pleading her to say yes? Though his words sounded funny and desperate at the same time, it seemed totally cute to her...
She smiled at him...Slightly freeing her fingers from him, she cupped his hands and nodded voicing an emotional dialog as if she was saving him from the bachelor life, "Don't worry...aapki life mein woh post khaali nahi jaayega..."
Sameer smiled at her reply and stepped back pulling her along with him...He pulled her all of a sudden and she fell into his arms almost crashing into him...She balanced herself and he also steadied her but kept her enclosed in his arms, "I want you to fill that post Aisha, will you?"
Aisha blushed a little and then nodded, "hmmm"
He didn't wait a second more but just pecked her forehead and hugged her to himself closely...
She was a bit apprehensive by the sudden intimacy and his romantic gesture but then he could feel her easing in his arms...
He smiled to himself and kept her tied to himself...He had so far missed all this...Now there was no question of letting her go away nor wait more for getting married...he decided to speak to his mom soon and get her to meet Aisha and her family!

Meanwhile in Sakshi's place...
He wanted to tell her that she deserved his love...She too had the right to love him and get his love back...He knew he would make her realize that soon...
He didn't take an instant to bend further and capture her soft velvety lips with his...She couldn't break away or push him off her...
He deepened his kiss as his desires exploded the instant he touched her lips...

Resisting him was something which she could never do...however she tried, she couldn't stop him from doing anything nor could she part away from him!
He didn't know what had pushed him so much that he kissed her...yes it was an impulsive move from him but he would never regret it...He had already realized that he was totally in love with her...and he was damn sure now that he wanted her in his life...He really wished to move on from his stagnant life!
But he knew that kissing her without her consent was not right...but the moment he touched her lips, she had literally melted into him...he felt no resistance from her or any attempt to break away, and then he couldn't stop himself...he realized that she too loved him as much as he did...but he was confused by her conscious efforts to stay away from him...But he wasn't going to leave her like that...
He cupped her face and kept her lips sealed with his...he didn't want to break this moment...he didn't want to break this closeness...He wanted her in his proximity always!

There was no hesitation or reluctance in his mind now...he had done away with the tug of war...his heart had won the battle of love...He was going to make her his before she distanced herself from him...He wasn't going to give her a chance to go away from his life!
He parted his lips from hers and looked into her eyes...there were unshed tears swimming in her eyes and he couldn't resist kissing her eyelids shut...he lingered his lips gently and took in those drops as if meaning that all her tears were his now...and that he could never stand tears in her pretty eyes!

He wouldn't have stopped at that if she hadn't used all her might and self control to push him away from her protesting..."NOOO"
She couldn't face him nor answer his questions...So she just ran into the room closing the door behind her...
He wasn't gonna leave her like that...He surely needed answers...he knew that she loved him...then what was stopping her...why does she want to go away from him...he had to know...
He knocked the door...when she didn't respond, he banged it and voiced, "Sakshi agar tumne darwaaza nahi khola toh main isse thodh doonga...aaj yeh darwaaza mujhe rokh nahi sakthi..."
When he started banging strongly, she voiced, "Arjun, pls chale jaao...hum kal baat karenge..."
Arjun replied angrily, "aaj kuch bhi mujhe rokhega nahi wrong number...darwaaza kholo..."
Before he could break open the door, he heard her open the door...He didn't wait for her to open it fully, he just got in and shut the door back pushing her further inside...
Sakshi angrily protested, "yeh sab tum kyun kar rahe ho Arjun???...just leave me alone...can you?"
Arjun glared at her, "I cant...I simply cant leave you alone Sakshi...I want to know why you are trying all these..."
Sakshi: [ignoring what he asked, she voiced as if to a 3rd person who had helped her] mere papa ke case keliye tumne jo help kiya, unn sab keliye thanks Arjun...ab jab case almost khatam hogayi hai toh...[her words trailed off but he took off from there]
Arjun: toh main bhi tumaare life se chali jaavum, huh? Yahi chahte ho na?
Sakshi couldn't reply to that...rather say a lie by looking into his face...so she turned away from him and replied, "haan...main inn sab se dur chale jaana chahthi hoom...main akele jeena chahthi hoom...thats my way of life Arjun...tum usse bathal nahi sakthe..."
Arjun grabbed her and swirled her back to face him, "accha, yahi baat mujhse nazaren milaake kaho na?"
When she hesitated, he urged, "Go on...nothing stops you..."
However she tried, she couldn't face him and tell him to get lost from her life...He smiled and added, "Mujhse "I love you" bhulwaana chahthi ho, huh? You want me to tell you how much I need you in my life and to plead not to go away from me, right? Accha teek hai...sunn lo ...tum jeet gayi wrong number..."
She was lost somewhere in his words...He was speaking the magical words which she had died to hear from him long back...but now? Was she really wishing for this? She didn't know...she couldn't speak or stop him...she was silent while he continued, "I want to be with you...I want to protect you... ...tumaare harr smile ka reason banna chahtha hoom...tumaari smile dekh kar main bhi smile karna chahtha hoom...[taking in a deep breath, after a pause, he continued leaving the grab on her but just held her fingers in his and voiced]...
Yes My dear wrong wrong number, I have fallen in love with you...aur main chahtha hoom ke tum humesha mere paas hi raho..."
She couldn't speak or react for a few moments...she didn't know if she had to be happy or not...she kind of felt helpless...
She freed her fingers off him slowly and he let go of her fingers reluctantly scrutinizing her face to read what she intended to reply...
She walked to the window and spoke up, "kya tumaari Roshni bhi yahi chahthi hogi?"
Arjun was a bit annoyed by her pulling Roshni into this...he enquired, "tum baar baar Roshni ko humaare beeech kyun laa rahe ho??"
Sakshi replied instantly, "Kyun ki Roshni humaare beech nahi balke main tum logon ke beech aayi hoom!"
Arjun paced to her taking large steps...Facing her, he enquired, "Kya hua hai Roshni aur tumaare beech mein? What are you hiding from me??"
Sakshi turned away and replied, "nahi..kuch nahi...jo sacch hai wahi batha rahi hoom"
He grabbed her back closer to himself and glared at her, "don't ever give me that crap...mujhe itna toh samajh aagaya hai ke kuch toh zaroor baat hai...ab agar tum nahi bathavogi toh mujhe patha hai ke mujhe kya karna hai! But don't make me do it Sakshi...it wont end up too good for you!"
Sakshi shivered in his fumes...she knew that he could do whatever and get what he wanted out of her...May be it was time she let out what transpired between her and Roshni...
When he saw that she wasn't going to speak, he left her and replied sternly, "ok"
When he walked to the door, she spoke up, "Roshni se poochne waale ho, huh?"
There was sarcasm in her words...He ignored it and replied, "nahi...agar tum usse raaz rakhna chahthi ho toh, main bhi usse kholunga nahi par...[he turned to her and gave a sarcastic smile] woh raaaz mujhe tumse alag nahi kar sakthi...I will make you mine with or without your consent wrong number...[when he saw her enquiring face, he added] tum bhi mujhe rokh nahi sakhoge! Want to bet on that?
She could see his determination in his eyes...so she decided to give up!
Before he turned, she voiced, "Roshni didn't want me near you Arjun...she never wanted me in your life...ussne mujhse promise liya tha ke main tumse humesha dur rahoom...[pausing a bit giving him time to take it in, she added]...You want me to break it Arjun?"
Arjun was now caught between those words...Roshni took such a promise from Sakshi...Why? Was Roshni insecure about his love? Was his love so weak that she sought such a promise?
His silence worried her but she knew that he would need time to reply to her question...
She voiced, "yahi confused state mein main bhi hoom Arjun...I know you need some time alone...Go..."
He was confused by the turn of events...he had to clear his head...
She was right...He needed his space...his private time...He looked up enquiringly about how she will go back to Sameer's place...She understood his unasked question and replied, "I will call back Shree..."
He nodded and left the place...As soon as he went, she slumped down to the floor...All her courage and guts that she had posed till he was there drained away instantly...
She hugged her knees and broke down!
He was in no better state...He couldn't break down or cry like her...but his mind and heart just weighed down...What was happening in his life? With so much difficulty and battles within his own self, he had decided to move on and wished for a life with Sakshi...but now, everything seemed to crumble down by a promise!
Would he ever be able to cross that barrier and break the lakshman rekha which his first love, his Roshni had drawn between him and his wrong number?
He questioned himself that a thousand times as he drove back home...yes, he was going back to his home...He wanted to be there...he perhaps felt that his answer lay buried there...may be he would get his answers from Roshni herself!
