All clapped when Khushi finished her performance. She faked a smiled and got up to find her mother and father standing with her fiance and his family. Sashi Gupta (Khushi's father) took a step toward's her and kept his hand's on her head giving her a blessing to which Khushi didn't react much.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, once again please give a round of applause for the wonderful song sung by my daughter" Sashi said through the mike and glanced at Garima once who seem's to be fidting with the pallu of her sarii. He gave a angry glance at her and Garima quietly came toward's Khushi and took her toward's the room.
"Amma, I think you aren't understanding what am I trying to say" Khushi tried to say to her mother while she was bussy taking out soe matching jewellery for the dress.
"Khushi beta! I understand, but I don't have any choice. You know your father very well. He won't allow you to get married with him" Garima replied coldly, but from inside her heart crying. Garima silently wiped her tear's and turned toward's her daughter.
"Khushi you have to marry Arnav! He is a very good boy and the best husband you will ever get. Stop thinking about Abhimanyu, he is and will never be your future" Garima said to Khushi trying to be little harsh with her. Khushi looked at her mother and pushed out her hand's " I know what is right and what not for me. I know that my Abhi love's me and will alway's do. Khushi will alway's love Abhi, she cannot be any Arnav's" Garima slapped Khushi as she heard the word's coming out from her mouth.
Khushi looked at her mother and moved from there taking the dress from the couch. Garima closed her eye's and silently cried. As soon she came out of the room Anjali Raizada (Arnav's Sister-In-Law, married to Rahul Raizada) came near Garima.
"Aunty, when is Khushiji coming out? I want to compliment her for singing such a fabolous song. I mean she sing's so well" Garima smiled when Anjali said it. Indeed their Khushi was very talented.
"Beta, she is getting ready. When she will come out I will inform you first" Garima replied and Anjali happily went from there.
"Thankgod that my younger brother decided to get married" Rahul said while hugging Arnav. Nani smiled and caressed Arnav's head.
"Yah Bhai, I didn't want to but Bhabhi forced me and you know that I can never ever say 'no' to my Bhabhi" Arnav replied while Anjali came and stood besides Arnav,
"Yah, my Chottey loves me the most" Anjali said while hugging Arnav from side and all smiled looking at them.
Khushi came out of her room, wearing a red and white Anarkali suit with heavy embriodary. Arnav smiled seeing her but Khushi kept looking down as per her father's orders. Anjali brought Arnav in front of Khushi. Sashi forcibaly squeezed Khushi's hand so that she would look up at Arnav but she prefered looking down.
"My god, seem's the bride is very shy. She's not even looking at Arnav bitwa" One of the guest said loudly and all laughed. Sashi smiled and angrily looked at Khushi once.
"So I think we must start" Sashi said while he left Khushi hand.
Garima brought the ring toward's Khushi, Khushi took the ring out of the box and looked at Arnav. Arnav smiled lightly looking at her.
"No Khushi, you can't ditch him. He and his family look's so happy with this alliance. When you met him for the first time, he was so calm and composed. No I can... I can never do this with a person like him. But, Babuji... he want's me to get married to him. But I love Abhimanyu, so what should I do! Get married to Arnav and start a fresh life or leaving my house and getting married to a person who loves me the most" Khushi thought while looking at Arnav's eyes.
Arnav for the first time was lost in Khushi's eyes. It was for sure that Arnav had fell in love with this 'Chashmish' Gupta when he had seen her watering the plant's in the lawn for the first time. But today, he wasn't feeling right after what Khushi sang. All were for sure thinking that Khushi sang this for Arnav but somewhere in Arnav's mind he knew that Khushi didn't love him and Now! he could feel the pain in her eyes.
"Khushiji-Chottey, where are you both lost? Exchange you rings fast, you guys can do this 'Nain-Mataka' afterwards, but the mahurat given by Panditji will get over soon." All laughed loudly whien Anjali said while Arnav got embaressed Khushi didn't mind their reactions much.
Khushi pushed the ring in Arnav's finger while all clapped and the vice-versa. After the engagement was over all were busy congratulating them while Arnav only noticed Khushi. She didn't seem to be happy. As he saw Khushi's amma-babuji talking with some people he pulled Khushi toward's the lawn of Gupta Mansion
"You are not happy with this wedding right?" Arnav asked while keeping high hopes that she would deny the question easily. She turned toward's him and looked down.
"I'm sorry, I don't... I mean I never wanted to get engaged to you. I know that I have really hurted you, but trust me I...I wanted to clear off the thing's from the start itself but babuji" Arnav showed his hand's that made Khushi stop before she could continue more. Arnav closed his eyes feeling depressed.
For the first time Arnav felt helpless. He looked at the sky, seem's to be angry with his mom-dad.
"Why?Why did this happen. Mom,Dad... you know that she wan not happy with this. Then why didn't you tell me. Why didn't you stop me! like everytime you do. She doesn't love me and what all dreams I had planned for her, for me rather for 'us'." Arnav thought while looking at the sky. He turned behind and looked at Khushi...
