Chapter 11

"I thought you didn't want to know why I left," Rohit said with a smirk, and made as if to go away.

But this time Sakshi grabbed his hand, and asked him, "What did you mean?"

"Sorry bro," Rohit muttered to himself and then turning towards Sakshi, he told her the truth, well at least part of the truth.

"Arjun, mera bhai, didn't want me to marry you! He always said you weren't good for me!" Rohit said, "The day we were supposed to marry, he forced me to go away, actually he blackmailed me to leave you!"

Sakshi didn't want to believe anything, Arjun couldn't do something like that with her.  He had been her support, he was and is her husband.  How could someone who treated her so gently be cruel.

"You don't trust my words, but maybe you'll trust this!" Rohit said and showed her an MMS.

It was a scene, where Arjun blackmailed Rohit to leave Sakshi on her mandap. She could see Rohit pleading about his love for Sakshi and her reputation, but Arjun was standing like a stone, and only replied that Rohit better just disappear.

Sakshi raised her head from the MMS in Rohit's mobile, and looked in Rohit's eyes.

"I have always loved you, but Arjun, he was always jealous of me.  And he hated you completely.  Didn't you see how rudely he would behave with us everytime we were together!" Rohit added.

"But why would he do this? and why marry me?" Sakshi asked more to herself.

"He hated me, and he couldn't deal that you loved me! So he removed me from his path, and came after you to make you fall in love with him.  and from what I could see earlier, he had succeeded I guess," Rohit said with fake sympathy.

But Sakshi was going into such a turmoil, that she failed to see Rohit's fake sympathy or his smile.  Right now, she couldn't understand anything.  She couldn't work anything out, she didn't even know what to believe.  She walked away from Rohit, with all her dreams shattered.

She doesn't remember where she had been, where she walked, or how long she walked, she only sat down in a bench, when her feet couldn't take her anywhere.  And then she thought about everything for a long time. Finally she realised that before condemning Arjun, she should give him a chance for explanation, if only for her heart which was still forcing her to trust Arjun.

But now staring at Arjun's back, she had to accept that Rohit was right. 

"Arjun why did you do this? When you knew how much me and Rohit loved each other?" Sakshi asked, wanting to hurt him or at least anger him, to get a response.

Arjun would have remained quiet, but when he heard her talking about her love for Rohit, something exploded inside of him.  He finally turned and stared at her with pure hatred.  He felt as if Sakshi was taunting him, he thought Sakshi knew how much he loved her.

He came angrily towards her, and grabbed her arms and brought her close to him.

"What the hell do you know about love? And you and Rohit! God you disgust me! Even after everything, you still love him!" he shouted at her.  He felt as if he wanted to break her completely.

His anger and contempt and derision cut into her like a knife, and she responded instinctively.

"And what do you know about love? Rohit..." Sakshi was replying back, but it was as if taking his name in itself was a mistake.

"Shut up!" he cut in, and suddenly let go of her, spinning away, a hand going up to rake through his hair, stayed there while he glared down at the floor beneath his feet. His shoulders, body, every part of him was locked in a rigid pose of tension.  Then he let out a soft, angry huff of laughter. "I guess you want to return back to him now," he muttered, more to himself than to her.

Wanting to hurt him in anyway, Sakshi replied, "And why not? You broke us for your selfish reasons!"

It had the most unbelievable effect on him.

His eyes changed, turning almost as black as her own, and heat poured into his face as if she'd just exposed some terrible, dark secret that forced the top off his barely held anger. And it was the sight of that anger which had her stumbling back a step in real alarm in an effort to avoid the hard hand that suddenly shot out towards her.

But she was too late to stop it from curling around the back of her neck and tightening as he yanked her up against him. Then his mouth landed on hers, hot, hard and merciless.

And everything special she had ever felt for him dropped like a wounded bird, and lay there quivering as he proceeded to plunder her mouth with a ruthlessness that utterly reviled every gentle feeling they had ever shared before it.

By the time he let her go she was actually sobbing, her tear-filled eyes almost filling her whitened face.

"Get your things out of my house,' he gritted as he threw her away from him. "I don't want to find a single sign that you've ever been here by tomorrow night, got that?" Arjun said with contempt and walked to stand to near a window.

Sakshi couldn't believe her ears, everything was crumbling down and she didn't even know what to do.  Inspite of everything, the only thing she felt was how she'd survive without him.  

I know i'm leaving everyone on a sad note, but dont worry and be happy, afterall Main hoon nah😎
