Chapter 5

Arnav had reached his car, he carefully put Khushi down on her feet, opened his car while Khushi's head was resting on his shoulder and he placed Khushi in the front passenger seat.  Arnav closed the door, went to the driver's side, got in and he placed his keys in the ignition but had to place his head back as he could feel he was getting dizzy. Arnav shook his head from side to side to avoid himself dropping off. He knew he needed to get out of there, not for his sake but for Khushi's sake. He started the engine and drove off heading straight to the hospital.

Back at the building Raj and his team had managed to get most of the goons rounded up except one who had escaped.

He had run out when nobody was looking and got onto the phone to Shyam.

"I thought I told you not to call me when I am busy" Shyam said in a threating tone. "But boss I had to call" the man said. "What is it?" Shyam asked. "Ummm...boss...the girl...the girl..." the man stammered. "What about the girl?" Shyam asked getting worried. "Boss she was taken" the man said scared over the phone. "WHAT?" Shyam bellowed.

"What happened Shyamji?" Anjali said in the background. Shyam got scared as he heard Anjali. "Nothing rani sahiba just my assistant getting something wrong" Shyam replied in his sweet sickly way and walked out of earshot.

He got back on his phone and asked "how the hell did that happen?" making the man on the other end shiver. "Boss I think your brother-in-law came and took her" the man said. Shyam suddenly got scared. He knew it can't have been Akash because Akash was at home. Arnav how the hell did he find out where Khushiji was Shyam thought. He put the phone down and ran his hand in his hair. He was in a bad mood but he needed to calm down and think about what he was going to do next. Whatever happened he can't allow anyone to find out what he had done least of all Arnav knowing full well what he could do. Shyam had to think, fast and hard.

Arnav had somehow managed to get to the hospital while driving. He had been concentrating on the road as hard as he could but his eyes kept shutting, his head was pounding and what he didn't realise was that he was bleeding but that didn't stop his determination to get to the hospital. Every time his eyes would start to close he would shake his head and turn towards Khushi for a little while knowing full well he had to make it so that Khushi could get medical attention.

Arnav parked the car outside the hospital, got out, went round to the passenger's side, got Khushi out and walked into the hospital.

"Doctor, doctor" Arnav shouted.

People in the hospital looked right at him.

"GET ME A BLODDLY DOCTOR" Arnav bellowed making everyone move about. A ward boy came over with a gurney, while some nurses and a doctor came over as Arnav placed Khushi onto the gurney but as he was pulling away he saw Khushi had a hold of his collar not allowing him to move. He looked down at Khushi, slowly pulled her hand off his collar and placed it on her. They took her away as Arnav watched her go.

A nurse stayed back to get some details but noticed Arnav bleeding. "Sir you are bleeding" the nurse said as she went to look at his wound. "I'm fine just take care of her" Arnav as said as he pushed her hand away. He took his phone out of his pocket to call Akash.

"Hello bhai. Where are you?" Akash asked as he picked up his phone and answered knowing full well it was his cousin. As Arnav was about to answer his body was starting to give. He tried to focus his eyes but they were blurring up. The last thing he heard was Akash calling out to him on the phone as his whole body collapsed.

The nurse who was still near him called for a gurney and Arnav was rushed into emergency to tend to his wounds.

Akash on the other end was getting very worried as he carried on calling for his brother.

Someone picked up the phone in the hospital and gave it to the receptionist.

Akash had still been on the phone. "Hello bhai" he said. The receptionist heard him and answered. "Hello?" she said. "Hello who is this?" Akash asked in a worried tone. "Hello I am Rosie" the receptionist answered. "Where is my brother?" Akash asked. "Oh was that your brother?" the receptionist asked back. "Why? What's happened to him? Where is he?" Akash panicked. "Sir, sir please calm down. Your brother has been taken into the emergency ward and his wounds are being tending to by the doctor. He is in rockland hospital" the receptionist answered calmly. Akash didn't reply back instead he put the phone down and headed to the living room where most of his family were.

"Di" Akash shouted making everyone turn to look Akash running down the stairs. "What's wrong Akash?" Anjali asked getting worried as she had never heard Akash sounding worried. "Di bhai he's in hospital" Akash said. "WHAT?" Anjali exclaimed completely in a panic. Shyam was by her side. "Rani sahiba calm down I am sure it is nothing serious" Shyam said sounding genuine. "But he is hospital. Not many people know he is a diabetic. What if they give him the wrong medicine?" Anjali said beginning to cry. "Di, he's at rockland hospital. Dr. Sharma should be there and everyone there knows bhai. We should all go there now" Akash said. This seemed to calm Anjali down a little but not much. They took two cars with NK driving one and Akash driving the other.

As soon as they all reached there Akash went straight to the receptionist and asked in what room his brother was.

Arnav had been taken into a private room by then while his wounds had been attended to.

Everyone made their way to the room.

Shyam who was right next to Anjali couldn't help but wonder where Khushi was but at that moment he was with the Raizada family and making any wrong move would get him under suspicion.

Anjali was the first to enter the room with everyone following her. She saw Arnav just lying there on the bed with a bandage around his head, a blood drip and also what looked like a saline drip going into his arm.

Anjali walked up to Arnav's side and sat next to him. She held his hand in one of hers while her other head caressed his head.

"Chote what have you done to yourself? Please wake up for me" Anjali said through her sobs. Shyam went next to her and placed his hand on her shoulder. She turned to look up towards her husband. "Shyamji he will be alright won't he?" Anjali asked. "Rani sahiba, saale saab is strong. He will be fine" Shyam assured Anjali. Akash had taken nani towards the one of the chairs on the other side of Arnav where she looked up upon her grandson silently praying for him to ok.

The doctor came in and found the whole family at Arnav's side.

Anjali turned to see him. "Doctor Sharma how is he? What happened to him? Is he going to wake up?" Anjali bombarded the doctor with her questions. The doctor took a deep breath before he answered. "Anjali he has lost a lot of blood and with him being diabetic it is a worry. We are giving him blood to replace his lost blood. We will just have to wait until he wakes up before we can say anymore. As for the girl he bought in with him..." "What girl?" Anjali asked before the doctor could finish his sentence. Shyam knew exactly who it was and was eager to hear information about her. "We don't know who she is. She was very dehydrated and unconscious when he bought her in. We have given her a glucose drip. She is sleeping at the moment but we don't know when she will also wake up" doctor sharma said as he looked at every member of the Raizada family who were all in shock at this piece of information.

Anjali turned to look at Akash. "Akash do you know who this girl is?" Anjali asked her your brother. "No di, I don't" Akash answered back looking just as shocked as everyone else. Akash tuned to look at the doctor. "Can you please take me to her doctor?" Akash asked. The doctor turned to leave followed by Akash. He took him to another area in the hospital where there were a lot of patients. He pointed towards a bed where a young girl was sleeping. As soon as Akash saw who it was he walked outside took out his phone and called Payal.

"Hello" Payal answered very weakly. "Payalji" Akash said. "Yes Akashji" Payal said a little lighter knowing she was talking to her fiance. "Payalji, bhai has found Khushiji" Akash said sounding very excited. "What? Say that again" Payal asked making sure she heard it right. "Yes Payalji, Khushiji has been found" Akash repeated. Payal suddenly smiled while tears of joy were coming out of her eyes. "Where is Khushi? How is she? Is she alright?" Payal asked in one breath. Her aunt who had come out from her brother and sister-in-law's room to see where Payal was and who Payal was talking to heard her say something about Khushi and quickly came to her side. "I don't know much yet, the doctor said she was very dehydrated and unconscious when she was bought in" Akash answered.  "I want to see her" Payal said in a pleading voice. "She is not awake yet Payalji" Akash said. "Please I need to see her" Payal pleaded while crying. Akash's heart went out to Payal as he heard her crying on the phone. "Ok, wait there I am coming to get you" Akash said with determination as he put the phone down and headed back to his brother's room.

He walked in as everyone turned to look at him. "Di, it was Khushiji bhai bought in. He has found her" Akash said. Anjali looked from her brother Akash to her brother Arnav. She caressed her brother's head. "I am so proud of you Chote" Anjali beamed as happy tears came out her eyes. "Nani look at what Chote has done" Anjali said looking towards her nani. "Yes Anjali bitiya, Chote really has done something wonderful" nani said as she felt proud of her grandson. "Do the gupta family know?" nani asked looking towards Akash. "Yes dadi I just told Payalji on the phone. I just came to tell you all that I am going to pick them up" Akash said.

Shyam was glad Khushi was here but also scared that she will open her mouth as to who had her kidnapped. He wanted to go see her but he couldn't as he knew he wouldn't be able to explain as to why he would want to see her. To the Raizada family he has only met Khushi through them. Nobody knew that he has known Khushi for a long time.

As soon as Khushi's name had been mentioned NK's face had lit up. "Akash can you show where she is? I mean someone should stay with her until her family gets there" NK said to try and cover up the fact he wanted to see Khushi for himself.

Shyam turned to look at NK while rage grew within him.

Akash turned to walk out as NK followed. "Akash can you make sure that Khushiji is in a private room" Anjali suggested. Akash nodded his head before he left. He showed NK where Khushi was and left to go get Payal and her family.

Along the way he asked that Khushi be shifted to a private room. He made the suggestion that her room was the one next to Arnav's.

Once Khushi shifted into the private room, NK sat near her just looking at her pale face. He wanted to touch her face or hold her hand but he knew he shouldn't. He just sat there thinking about what he wanted to do next.

A while later Payal and her whole family had come with Akash.

As soon as they walked into her room NK saw them and moved away from Khushi. Everyone was too busy looking at Khushi to notice NK. They all went towards her. Garima sat nearest her daughter and caressed her face. "Khushi, bitiya, please wake up. You're safe now. Please wake up bitiya" Garima pleaded while crying.

While Garima was pleading for Khushi to wake up in the other room Anjali was doing the same with Arnav but both Arnav and Khushi at that moment were too weak to wake up.
