Chapter 4

[MEMBERSONLY]

As he got his farmhouse Arnav parked up and went to straight to the back garden. Before long he was cutting at his plants but it wasn't helping. He threw his shears and went towards the back got down on his knees and screamed. He felt shattered.

Khushi was still missing.

Shyam had kidnapped her.

His sister was married to Shyam.

What was he going to do?

For the first time in Arnav Singh Raizada's life he had no answers.

Anjali was at the gupta household trying to get a hold of both Shyam and Arnav but neither one of them were answering their phones.

Shyam was still too busy shopping while Arnav was feeling distraught.

Khushi who had now been trapped for three days was feeling very weak. She was terrified. Three days had gone and nobody had come to get her. She felt as though no one knew where she was and that no one will come.

Khushi who was still near the boxes looked up towards the open window very high up on the opposite wall. She put her hands together in a namastee position and prayed. Hey Devi Maiyya please help me Khushi said, prayed and repeated as her eyes closed in prayer while tears flowed from her eyes.

As Khushi had been feeling exhausted she fell unconscious. Her body couldn't take it anymore.

Shyam had bought all the shopping and gone and put it all in his office away from everyone's eyes when he got another phone call from Anjali. He picked it up. "Where are you?" Anjali asked concerned. "Sorry rani sahiba I had some work to do. Are you still at the gupta household?" "Yes" came the reply. "Ok. I will be there in a little while" Shyam said as he looked down at the bridal saree he had purchased with an evil smirk on his face.

He put the phone down, put all the saree back into the bag, placed the bags in the cupboard and left.

Later in the day as the Raizada's were still at the gupta's Shyam received a phone call. He got up to take the call outside.

"I thought I told you never to call me and I will call you" Shyam said over the phone sounding irritated. "Sorry boss but that girl we bought here last night has fainted and you told us not to touch her. So we don't know what to do" said one of Shyam's henchmen. "Ok I am on my way" Shyam said as he put the phone down.

Shyam went back into the house and told Anjali he had to leave as an important client had called him to discuss his case. Anjali understood and Shyam left. Shyam though had no idea he was being followed by then.

Once Shyam got to the warehouse where he was holding Khushi he walked in to find Khushi still unconscious. He got one of his men to get some water. Once he had the glass in his hand he went over to Khushi and sprinkled some water over her. He tried a several times but Khushi didn't wake up. So Shyam poured all the water over Khushi's face.

Khushi felt the water and fluttered her eyes open. She had to put her hand over her eyes for a moment to adjust to the light again. She slowly lowered her hand to see Shyam right in front of her. This scared her.

"Khushiji are you alright?" asked a concerned looking Shyam as he went to touch her face.

Khushi saw his hand moving towards her and she tried to move back. Her head was turned towards the right and she had her eyes closed. Shyam noticed this and was slightly pissed. "Khushiji why are you being like this? I care about you and you are just ignoring me." Khushi turned back to look at him with her usual fieriness "I can't believe you still don't know. You are married to a wonderful person like Anjali and yet you got engaged to me knowing full well you were married. You not only deceived my family but you are deceiving the Raizada's" she spat at him. This made Shyam furious. He held her by her shoulders making Khushi scared again. "Khushiji you listen and you listen carefully. After I get rani sahiba out of the picture you and I are going to get married. I am doing all this for you. You said you would never marry me because I am already married. Well pretty soon I won't be and there will be no one to stop me because nobody knows where you are. You got that" he said with temper. Khushi looked at him as tears started following in her eyes.

Shyam just sat there in front of her before he let go and went.

Raj who by now had been informed by one of his colleagues where Shyam had gone made his way there. He got onto the phone to call Arnav who by now was at home.

Arnav heard this and told Raj just to stay there and not do anything until he got there.

He needed to make sure Shyam was out of the way before he did anything.

The Raizada's were all back home by then even Shyam who was just casually sitting down on the couch. Arnav saw him from afar and wanted to kill him but he knew he needed to be going out to see if where Shyam had gone was where Khushi was.

He came downstairs in his normal style. "Di I am going out for a while" Arnav said looking directly at his sister. "At this time of the evening? What is so important that can't wait until the morning?" Anjali asked looking back at her brother.  "Di, I have left an important file at work and I need to prepare for a video conference in the morning" Arnav lied. Akash turned to look at his brother knowing full well he was lying but couldn't say anything.

As Arnav was leaving Akash caught up with him outside.  "Bhai why did you lie to di? The video conference is not until the afternoon" Akash said. "I know I lied but I really do have something urgent to do. I will explain when I get back" Arnav replied placing a hand on Akash's shoulder. "Bhai is there anything I could do?" Akash asked. "Just make sure your phone is on. I will call you" Arnav said as he left.

He got into his SUV and drove fast to the location where Raj at told him.

Once he got there he didn't bother to see if there was any trouble ahead or not. All he could think about was Khushi.

Raj who had been waiting for Arnav saw him go in. S**t he thought as he got out of his car, signalled to his colleagues to follow him and went in after Arnav.

Arnav didn't care. He walked into the building only to encounter six guys. Within a second Arnav was surrounded by them but just behind them Raj walked in with two of his guys. Everyone was starting at each other. Arnav moved to go forward when the guys grabbed him to stop him. Raj and his two guys moved forward to help Arnav. Raj and the two guys pulled three guys of Arnav and started fighting with them leaving Arnav with three guys. While they pushed him backwards Arnav was holding his ground but three against one worked against him. He was pushed up against the back wall. Arnav was in a rage so he kicked the guy in front between the legs making him go down on his knees. By then the adrenaline kicked in. He pulled at the other two guys loosening his arm from one of them when he grabbed his throat via his hand making the guy start to choke. The other one tried to pull Arnav back but Arnav didn't stop. The other guy started choking Arnav but Arnav kicked him in the leg making the guy let go of Arnav. Arnav then punched the guy he was choking on the nose making him bleed. The first guy who was on the floor got up grabbed Arnav in a head lock but Arnav elbowed him in the stomach. He turned and punched him in the face making the guy fall on the floor. The third guy then came to punch him but Arnav caught his wrist and punched him the face making him fall to the floor.

Arnav looked around to see Raj and his team. They were still busy fighting the other men. Arnav made his way through the building now looking for Khushi. He went through the opposite door.

"Khushi"

Khushi who was half in a daze thought she heard her name but wasn't sure.

"Khushi"

Her name, yes she heard her name didn't she? Khushi opened her eyes slightly more when she heard it again.

"Khushi"

"Arnavji" Khushi whispered.

"Khushi" Arnav shouted out again looking for her.

He went through one door after the other shouting for Khushi.

Khushi could barely get up from her position. She could hear him but she felt too weak to move.

Arnav moved along the corridor when he came to a door which was locked.

"Khushi" he shouted.

"Arnavji" Khushi barely could say.

Arnav was outside tried to hear but he couldn't her. "Khushi" he shouted again but nothing. He was about to move ahead but something made him stopped. He needed to see what was behind this door. Arnav grabbed the door knob and started shaking it but he couldn't open the door. He started pushing at the door but it didn't budge. So he moved back and kicked at it hard, not once, not twice but thrice before he managed to kick the door open.

Arnav walked in and looked around to see the room in a mess with a lot of boxes. He went further into the room in quick strides and looked around more when he saw a slight movement and heard

"Arnavji"

"Khushi"

He moved quickly round and found Khushi with her head on the back wall, her eyes barely open but he could tell she was weak, very weak.

Khushi had her eyes open slightly and could see Arnav in front of her. "Arnavji. Aap?" Khushi could barely say. "Khushi don't worry I am going to get you out of here" as Arnav placed his arms under her fragile body and picked her up into his arms in swift motion. Khushi had her head on his shoulders as Arnav looked down at her cursing Shyam for putting Khushi in this position. He made his way to go out of the building but as he got the front he one of the men who was on the floor got up, picked up a rod and hit Arnav over the head.

Arnav started to feel dizzy but he was holding Khushi and he knew it.

Raj had seen what had happened and before the guy could hit Arnav again Raj managed to get in the way and started to beat him up.

Arnav's eyes were slightly closing from feeling dizzy but he was holding himself up because he knew he couldn't fall not with Khushi in his arms.

Arnav looked back down at Khushi and made a decision. He moved out with Khushi in his arms ignoring the pain he was feeling.
