Chapter 6
[MEMBERSONLY]

She was walking towards a garden where she saw her favourite red roses. She walked up to them to smell their beautiful fragrance but she couldn't smell them making her frown. Suddenly she saw a shadow of a man in front of her making her gasp as she couldn't make out his face. She saw the shadow moving forward, making her step back. The more he moved forward the more backward she went. She turned on her heel as saw the man gaining momentum, first walking, and then jogging at a steady pace before he was running.
She was running as fast as she could away from the person following her. She hadn't seen his face but she felt fear, her breathing becoming erratic coming out in shallow breaths as she found herself running out of breath. She was getting a sharp pain in her stomach, her legs and feet hurting the more she was running but she had to run. He was following her.
She didn't know where she was running or for how long but she turned to look back not to find him. So she stopped to catch her breath but the next moment someone had grabbed her from behind not allowing her to scream.
She found herself in a dark room with no way to get out. She could hear herself screaming but it was as though nobody could hear her.
She was banging on all the walls with her small fists but to no avail. She gave up after a while as she felt herself getting tired. Hot tears were streaming down her face as she fell to the floor, her knees coming up towards her body as she sobbed her chin resting on her knees as she realised there was no way out.
Suddenly a light came from nowhere and she saw another shadow but this time she felt different. It was as though she could trust this shadow. She saw a hand coming towards her where she placed her hand in the hand. Before she knew it she was being lifted into his arms and taken away towards the light.
The more they came towards the light the more his face became clear.
"Arnavji" his name came from her mouth sounding sweet to his ears as he looked down at her with all the love he had in his heart for her.
"Your safe now" he reassured her before looking ahead to take her out but next she screamed...
"Arnavji" Khushi screamed as her eyes opened before closing them as she saw the bright light affecting them.
Everyone heard her.
"Khushi bitiya, are you alright?" Garima asked her daughter as she stroked her daughter's hair with tears of joy in her eyes knowing that her daughter was with them safe and sound.
Payal was also there while buaji was in another room with her brother as he was not well again due to worrying over Khushi.
During the night watching Khushi not waking up took its toll on him so as per the doctor's instructions Shashi had been admitted.
It was as though he had heard her Arnavji' shook Arnav up immediately while screaming for Khushi'.
"Chotte" Anjali called as she heard Arnav. Arnav slowly opened his eyes adjusting to the light as he looked around to find his sister quite close to him. "Di. Where...ouch...where am I?" Arnav asked as his hand went up to his aching head. "Chotte you're in the hospital. Don't you remember?" Anjali asked as she stroked Arnav's hair looking down at a puzzled Arnav. Arnav looked towards his sister wondering what she was talking about. Things were still a little blurry when like a flash of lightning it all came back to him. "Khushi. Where is she? How is she? Is she ok?" Arnav asked in one go. "She is here, in the next room" his sister answered. "But di..." Arnav was about to say something but he saw his brother-in-law and he remembered who was behind this whole mess.
Without thinking he was getting up out of his bed.
"Chotte what are you doing?" Anjali asked as she saw her brother getting up. "Di, I need to arrange a few things" Arnav said as he got up from his bed only to feel slightly dizzy, as he had lost quite a bit of blood and being diabetic it was not a good thing.
The doctor had walked in at that moment. "Mr Raizada what do you think you are doing? You are still weak from your ordeal and you need to rest" the doctor began to advise but Arnav shot him an angry look making the doctor stop in his track.
"Please Chotte listen to the doctor" Anjali pleaded as she placed her hands on Arnav's shoulders. Arnav looked towards his sister pleading and sat back down again but he was feeling restless he knew he needed to sort a few things out but not with everyone around.
The doctor came up to Arnav and began checking him.
In the other room another doctor had come to look over Khushi who was still looking pale and weak.
"Doctor I am fine, I would like to go home" Arnav spoke. "Mr Raizada you have suffered a trauma and I would rather advise against that" the doctor said. "It was not a request. I am fine and I am leaving that is final" Arnav ordered. "Akash, make sure the hospital bills are paid. I am leaving today" Arnav said and without listening to anyone he got up and walked out. Anjali just looked at her stubborn brother walk out and went after him.
Arnav went into the next room to check on Khushi.
Khushi looked up to see Arnav looking right back at her and she didn't know why but she felt her heart beat racing without the knowledge that at that same moment Arnav was feeling the same.
Garima and Payal had seen Arnav walk in. Garima went up to Arnav. "Arnav bitwa, thank you for bringing back my daughter" Garima said through happy tears. "Yes, Arnavji, thank you for bringing back my sister" Payal added as she looked upon Khushi. Arnav just nodded towards them before his eyes went back to Khushi.
Anjali walked up in behind Arnav with the rest of the Raizada clan to see Khushi awake. Instead of her having a go at Arnav she walked up to Payal while nani walked up to Garima. Akash and NK walked in behind them and so did Shyam but as soon as Khushi saw Shyam she paled.
Arnav who was looking at Khushi saw her facial expressions go from calm to scared and he knew Shyam was right behind him. His fingers curled up into a fist as his nails dug into his palm clearly showing he was fuming but he had to keep calm for his sister as he saw Shyam go and stand next to Anjali.
He walked out of the room, found his phone and phoned raj first who was at the police station with the goons.
"Raj, make sure that nobody amongst those b******ds mention Shyam's name. Tell them I will pay them but not to mention Shyam's name and tell them if they do not do as I say I will make them pay in ways they would have not imagined" Arnav said through gritted teeth.
"But Arnav what about Shyam" raj asked confused. "I will deal with Shyam in my own way and in my own time but not right now" Arnav said before clicking the phone off.
He then dialled up aman and got him to find the best security team he could find but the security had to be women not men.
Arnav went back into Khushi's room once he had finished with his calls.
Khushi was still looking very pale but with Shyam there Arnav could tell she was less then comfortable.
"Di, why don't you and everyone else go home. You need your rest as well" Arnav said to try and get Shyam away from Khushi.
"Yes di, amma and I are here for Khushi so you can go home" Payal said.
"Actually Payal I think even you and aunty should go home as well. I will stay here with Khushi. Come back once you freshen up, plus from what I overheard uncle is also here so I think even he needs his rest" Arnav suggested. "Akash, NK make sure everyone gets home safely" Arnav ordered. "But Nannav..." NK tried to protest but the glare he got from Arnav meant he was not to argue.
Shyam was pissed also that he had to leave but he couldn't go against Arnav's decision.
When everyone had left Arnav looked towards Khushi while she looked up towards him seeing his dishevelled appearance. She saw his head with a bandage, his face looked bruised and his clothes were slightly torn showing some scratches. She wanted to stand up and tend to his wounds but seeing her move Arnav came forward and held her by her shoulders. He looked into her eyes "lay still. You are still not well" as he made her more comfortable. "Arnavji but you are hurt" Khushi looked up to him. Arnav didn't know why he felt overwhelmed by this that even though Khushi was unwell she was worried for him. Khushi lay back down as Arnav wouldn't allow her to get up.
Arnav sat down next to her on a nearby chair.
Both of them stayed silent for a while not wanting to say anything.
Khushi being Khushi even in her state couldn't stay silent for long and spoke. "Arnavji how did you find me?" she asked curious to know as she looked towards him. Arnav looked up towards Khushi his temper rising, nose flaring, fists tightening as he remembered the whole scene with Shyam. Khushi saw his stance change from calm to angry and understood he may know something that he wasn't telling or didn't want to share.
"Arnavji..." Khushi called but Arnav wasn't listening. "Arnavji..." Khushi called again a little louder bringing Arnav out of his trance. "Huh" was all he could manage. "Your phone" Khushi said making Arnav realised his phone had been ringing. He got up and walked outside to take the phone call leaving a confused Khushi who had a million questions in her mind about everything that had just recently happened.
It had been Aman giving him the details for the security agency and that they were sending their best female bodyguards to the hospital right now.
Arnav clicked the phone off before walking back into Khushi's room.
He again looked towards Khushi who was looking towards him for answers.
Arnav was never the man to answer questions and he wasn't about to but looking towards Khushi he didn't know why he wanted to answer her questions. Heck he wanted to do more than that. Just looking towards her was invoking so man emotions, emotions he was not sure about, emotions he was not ready to explore but remembering her being kidnapped made him mad beyond anything he had ever felt. Not even the time when he had been kicked out from his ancestral home he had been mad at everything and everyone but when Khushi had been kidnapped he wanted to burn the world.
He went to go sit next to her again.
Khushi had seen Arnav go out with his phone. She lay there looking towards the ceiling trying to hear anything from outside her room but she couldn't hear a thing. She felt frustrated that again her questions were being avoided by him. Laad governor, what does he think about himself?' she thought.
He came back into her room but before she could ask him anything the way he was looking towards her made her spine tingle. Just by his eyes she felt as though he could see through to her soul. The feelings that were being awakened in her heart were feelings she had never felt before. His gaze was making her feel awkward. She wanted to avoid his gaze but she couldn't. She followed him with her eyes as he went and sat down.
Their trance only broke when her family came back after freshening up.
Pretty soon the bodyguards arrived and were sent towards Khushi's room. They knocked on the door and waited outside.
Arnav left Khushi with her family and went outside. He saw the bodyguards and gave them instructions on who was allowed near the gupta's and who wasn't. He had told them that everywhere that Khushi went they would need to go and everyone who wants to talk to her needs to be checked. He didn't give specific instructions on who was allowed to talk to her but he made sure that they knew Khushi was their responsibility and if anything happened to her under their watch he would make damn sure they would never work again.
He walked back into the room with the bodyguards following him. "Aunty, Payal, and Khushi these bodyguards are from now on going to be at the gupta house. I feel that whoever kidnapped Khushi may still be out there and maybe very dangerous. So I have organised these bodyguards for the whole family. This is not a request. I would feel my whole family would agree with me on this" Arnav said in his authoritative manner. "Arnavji..." Khushi was about to say something but was cut short. "This is not up for debate" he said looking directly towards Khushi before leaving the room.
"Humph! Laad governor kahike" Khushi spoke with a little bit of annoyance only to be reprimanded by her mother.
Arnav may have left the room but he heard her call him that which bought a slight smirk on his face before silently calling her pagal' and left to go home.
