"Two chicken sandwiches and two cokes"Sammy ordered , standing close to the counter and then passed a quick look to Arnav who was silently sitting on chair tracing lines with his fingers trying to concentrate on what he was doing to avoid the students around him laughing and smiling and talking about their affairs. Sammy shook his head he knew Arnav from his childhood days how much he was short-tempered and stubborn. If he took the decision to do something he would do and no one could stop him from doing that.

 

    "Great!!! This day couldn't get any worse" Arnav clenched his teeth while tracing and rubbing A+K  over the table.

 

"Arghhh!!!! Why doesn't she think..I love her but she hasn't trusted on me"he hit his fist to the table in anger, and  closed his eyes tightly, squeezing them for a moment and then had taken a long deep breath to control his temper.

 

"Relax Arnav!!!"Sammy said keeping his hand on his shoulder and Arnav looked up.

 

"How could she???"He paused biting his words, thinking about Khushi's word and looked at Sammy who again signaled him to Relax and don't take stress..

 

"Look Arnav! We'll talk about it later firstly eat this sandwich that I brought to you as I know you're hungry "Sammy said offering him a tray that he pushed back instantly.

 

"I don't want this, I'm not feeling hungry" 

 

"Hmm if Khushi would say you, you'll grab it hurriedly ..I know it's a different between friend and girl friend."

 Sammy said teasingly while again offering him a tray'.

 

"Shut up Sammy"Arnav frowned but grabbed the tray from his hand and Sammy smiled finally he succeeded in convincing him to have that sandwich..

 

"So stubborn"Sammy sighed murmuring those words under his breath..

 

                 At the same time when both the boys were engrossed in argument Payal and Khushi entered in the canteen but after seeing both of them present there the canteen they stopped at the doorway.

 

"Khushi now please don't give damn importance to Arnav after what he did with you, for GOD sake control of your emotions"Payal warned Khushi glaring at Arnav.

           On the other hand, Arnav who was about to take a bite of his sandwich turned around abruptly to  hear familiar voices, He found her standing at the door, their eyes met for a long moment she was looking so vulnerable that for a moment Arnav forgot what  had happened in that room and felt guilty to behave with her rudely but then after realizing what he was thinking, he turned his face again on the other side in anger and threw his sandwich on the table and stood up from his chair and Sammy who was noticing everything quietly stood up and tried to stop him to do anything in anger.

 

As Arnav stood up from his chair accidentally his leg hit with a table

 

"ouch"he screamed in pain and he quickly rubbed his leg while Sammy  pulled the table towards him to give him some space to sit down again on a chair, there was a sharp nail on the edge of the table that  went into his flesh and had injured his leg, blood oozed from his wound and he winced clenching his teeth..

 

      Khushi take a step towards Arnav when Payal held her wrist and stopped him to go near him

"Payal he is in pain, he needs me,. Please---"Khushi freed her arm and a plea escaped her lips.

 

"Look Khushi!!!I am not interested at all in Arnav and his pain I am interested in you because you're my friend, leave him for some time let him think he is wrong .Don't show him you can't live without him, be strong" She said sincerely and Khushi had no doubt on her sincerity but either she hadn't control on her heart who beats for him.

"I love him Payal" Khushi said helplessly while a lone tear slipped from her already puffy eyes and fell on her cheek. "I know he is wrong but he needs me, he is in pain, I can't leave him alone at the time of need"

 

"So do what you want if he would do something wrong with you, don't come to me, I won't help you"Payal said in anger and went out.

Khushi saw her going back she wanted to stop her but she knew Payal wouldn't hear her as she was right at her place. Khushi was in a dilemma as if she would choose her love she lost her friend and if she would choose her friend she lost him that she couldn't bear.

She breathed out deciding to talk to Payal later as at that time Arnav was important more than anything else in the world for her, forgetting about their fight she gasped and walked up to him..

 

         "Arnav please let me clean your wound"Sammy was pleading as Arnav wasn't allowing him to do that and blood was flowing out from his wound continuously.

   As Khushi reached at his side, she signaled Sammy to give her first aid box. Sammy nodded and after handed over to her excused himself and left the table as he wanted to give them some time alone to solve their clashes.

      Khushi bent down and placed the box on the table and knelt in front of him, he turned away his gaze ignoring her presence, she opened the box and when she forward her hand to clean his wound  Arnav shrugged off her hand..

"Now what do you want? Why do you come here? He frowned glaring at her and Khushi sighed as his expected behavior. 

"Can't we keep aside our differences for some time'"she said in pleading tone but he didn't reply her.

"Please"she again pleaded and though, he was still remain quite but this time he didn't protest anymore and had let her clean his wound.Khushi cleaned the wound with the cotton pad and applied the ointment,Arnav closed his eyes in pain for a moment and when she finished he opened his eyes and stole a glance at her face ,the lines of panic was enough for him to realize how much she cared for him and it made his heart skipped with happiness. She got up and ordered for coke and pizzas for both of them as she knew he hadn't had anything and now he must be feeling hungry but his stubbornness wouldn't let him confess that. 

"Arnav eats something" she fetched a tray and offered him a slice of pizza

"I don't want to eat anything "he pushed the tray back and Khushi without insisting kept the tray aside.

"Ok if you don't want to eat anything I too, won't eat .So what if I've not eaten anything since the last night so what if I'm feeling dizzy'."she couldn't even complete her sentence when he interrupted her looking concerned.

"Haven't you eaten anything Khushi"

 She nodded her head flipping her eyes innocently and He fetched the tray quickly and started eating ,she knew what he meant for that, a broad smile suppresses her lips as she had taken a slice of pizza and took a bite  of it. When he saw her eating he felt relaxed, He quickly wrapped the mask of anger around his face to see her smiling.

 

"Don't think I'm not angry with you,'I'm still angry"

He said and Khushi shook her head in disbelief.

 

"Shilpa Aunty says right he is really very stubborn"She thought smiling inwardly.
