Chapter 46

Had originally been posted on IF.in. I'm starting from the start for the people whom have not read my story and have added some changes for the interest of the reader.

After school, everyone drives to Pritem's house.

Mitesh: (driving) I just forgot I left the camera and equipments at home. I'll drive you guys to Pritem's house then I'll go get the camera.

Priya: Why don't we do just go to your house and do everything there. We have the movies, the design and comedian right here.

Mitesh: No! Because this will be your first time coming to my house and you might not get the proper greeting.

Priya: (confused) proper greeting.

Mitesh: Just leave it.

Mitesh drops everyone of at Pritem house and leaves.

Arjun: Priya don't mind him he's just like that.

Priya: But what did he mean by proper greeting.

Jyoti: yeah I found that a bit stranger too.

Naina nods as Jyoti speaks.

Manisha: it took him about 5 years to tell us exactly what was going on in his house after his mother died. When he builds up enough courage, he'll tell you.

Priya: ok

Everyone waits for Mitesh to come then all of them sit on the couch or floor. Watching videos, listening to jokes, and picking some of dresses for Manisha.

Manisha: who will wear them?

Anurag: what?

Manisha: who will wear my clothes? In a fashion show you need models to model the clothes. I could be one but I need about at least two guys and at least two more girls.

Mitesh: when will Jyoti's and Naina's friendship come in handy?

Jyoti: At least you see me as a friend.

Mitesh gets up and walks to the kitchen.

Jyoti: I'll be back.

Manisha: (laughing) you know something it's the guy who runs after the girl. But here it's Mitesh who's runs to the other room.

Anurag: (laughing) yeah and it will be Jyoti lifting the veil on they honeymoon night.

Mitesh: (coming into the room) you have to find another hobby.

Jyoti: (sad) you're calling my love a hobby.

Mitesh: (scared) no not that. I meant when you chase me and bug me.

Jyoti: (singing) Agar tum mila jao yeh hobby chod denge hum.

Manisha: (laughing) Jyoti, Naina, will you be my models.

Jyoti: Anything to be next to Mitesh.

Naina: I don't know maybe I won't be too good.

Jyoti: I never model before we could stink together.

Naina: (laughing) No it's not that. Its-

Arjun: come on Naina, please.

Naina: (looking into Arjun twinkling eyes) ok

Manisha: ok that's great.

While everyone looked away, Arjun winks at Naina and Naina looks away, hoping no one saw. Arjun laughs and looks though the designs.

Manisha: now I need two guys.

Arjun: (still looking though the design) Di main hoon na. Anything to be next to Naina.

Naina quickly looks up at Arjun. Everyone gets silent.

Arjun: what I was joking.

Naina: excuse me.

Naina gets up, grabbing her phone, and is about to go into the other room.

Arjun: where are you going? I was just joking.

Naina: (sad) I know. I have to call my mom to tell her I'll be late.

Naina walks to the other room.

Pritem: hey I got an idea, why don't I, Priya, and Anurag wear some of the clothes in the video because you have more then 50 design here. (Flipping thought some design)

Manisha: well we still need a guy.

Anurag: you still need to make the clothes we'll find one till then.

Naina comes back in.

Arjun: (looking though the design, then Naina) hey Naina why don't you wear this blue one it would suit you well. (Giving her the design)

Naina: I don't know I really never paid attention on what looks good or not but I'll try it.

Manisha, Arjun, and Naina look though some of the design. Anurag and Priya study and practice some steps. While Pritems tells some jokes to Jyoti, Mitesh watch Jyoti laugh, which brings a cheerful feeling inside him but hides it. Everyone continues to work on their stuff day after day. Around the third day.

Priya: (talking about Aapki Khaish) in this video it has three people.

Anurag: so

Priya: we need an extra person.

Mitesh: you're right. But who?

Priya: (begins to think then sees Arjun) what about Arjun?

Mitesh: Aye Arjun come here.

Arjun: yeah

Mitesh: we need you for a video.

Arjun: sure! Anything for my jaan.

Priya: (giggling) shut up Arjun

Anurag: (mad) can we begin then.

They begin to dance. Later on while packing the stuff.

Anurag: hey Manisha I got an extra guy for the modeling.

Manisha: (happy) really? Who?

Anurag: Sunil. He's coming over so I asked him if he could and he said yes.

Manisha: that's great. Tell him to come tomorrow. I'm also done with the dress he could try on the once that are his.

Anurag: ok

The next day. Sunil comes in.

Sunil: (walking though the door) hey how's everyone.

Manisha: (walking to him then he hugs him) hey thanks so much I couldn't have done this with out you.

Sunil: Manisha it's ok. Anyways where's Anurag.

Manisha: in the other room.

Sunil: I'll be back.

Sunil walk to the other room. Anurag and Priya are arguing on a video.

Anurag: what are you doing?

Priya: the step.

Anurag: that is not the step.

Priya: yes is it.

Anurag: why don't you copy the video?

Priya: (mad) I am

Anurag: (mad) no you're not. The laila laila girl doesn't do that.

Priya: (mad) oh really you want to see.

Priya goes and turns on the video and then turns facing Anurag and begins to dance. She turns off the video after a couple of steps.

Priya: Do you have anything to say.

Anurag: nothing, you win, happy.

Priya: yeah

Sunil: (yelling) hey Mitesh you should add a point for Priya to the tally chart you have for Anurag and Priya. (Priya and Anurag turn around)

Mitesh: (yelling from the other room) Priya you're winning by two.

Priya: (sticking out her tongue at Anurag) Hey Sunil! (She goes and hugs Sunil)

Priya and Sunil walk to Anurag.

Anurag: you're my brother or hers.

Sunil: yours, but I have to hand it to her, she's the first one to bet you in anything.

Anurag: she beats me in one game and everyone makes a big deal out of it. Her luck was with her at that time. She's not as smart as me.

Priya: and that's a good thing or else I'll be... (Looking at Sunil) you know (Priya leaves)

Anurag: (confused) wha... what did she mean by that. Never mind! How's business.

Sunil: it's going good. Guess what dad's thinking about you joining us after college.

Anurag: are you crazy? I'm not joining, I know nothing about business, and you go and tell Mr. Kapoor about that.

Sunil: No! I could tell dad that -

Anurag: (cutting him off) well then tell your dad that.

Sunil: let me rephrase that I mean our dad. by the way can you tell me one thing, when was the last time you had a full conversation with dad, 6 months ago and what was the topic on... cricket. Ok I could understand why you're mad at dad, he ignores you but mom, what did she do. Mom loves you but you leave her with unanswered question and thoughts.

Anurag: look Sunil, you're never home, so you don't know what happen. So please leave me, mom and Mr. Kapoor alone.

Anurag leaves the room mad.

Sunil: (talking to himself) I will since you only talk to me and chachu in the family.

Sunil leaves and walks into the room.

Manisha: Sunil here are your clothes now go get dressed.

Sunil: ok

Sunil goes into Pritems room.

Jyoti and Naina come in

Jyoti: your two beautiful models have arrived.

Mitesh and Arjun: Really! Where?

Jyoti and Naina: how mean.

Manisha: (handing them some dresses) these are for you, go into the guestroom upstairs, Sunil in Pritems room.

Jyoti and Naina: Sunil!

Sunil then comes out of Pritems room and stands next to Mitesh. Jyoti and Naina drops they clothes. Everyone stares at both Jyoti and Naina.

Sunil: (confused) did some thing happen.

Manisha: Sunil meet Jyoti and Naina.

Sunil: hi

Jyoti and Naina: (softly) hi

Sunil: so how do I look?

Jyoti and Naina: hot

Everyone begins to laugh more loudly, except for Mitesh.

Naina: I'm mean nice - you look nice.

Jyoti: not me! I meant every word. (Mitesh looks at Jyoti. Jyoti walks over to Mitesh and puts her arms around Mitesh neck) but not as hot as you, honey.

Mitesh: (taking her hands off) leave me (leaving to the other room.)

Jyoti: he looks so cute when he's mad. Some one hold me before I faint. (About to fall but Sunil catches her. Getting up talking to Sunil) Aur tum, why are you here, tum kya mere choti se love story ko ek triangle love story -

Sunil: (realizing what she was going to say) Excuse me Anurag called me here and for your kind information I have my own choti love story. I'm happy with her. (Going back to Pritem's room)

Jyoti: oh god he's also cute when mad,

Manisha: (giggling) Jyoti you're too much and you thought I used to flirt.

Mitesh: (coming back in) you were, don't you remember those boys in the canteen you use to make them blush. But hey when you fall in love people change and you're the example.

Manisha: yeah you're right love does change a person (looking at Pritem who's looking at her) Anyway, Jyoti you're not going to leave him for some other guy are you.

Jyoti: Are you crazy. I would never leave my darling Mitesh. Only if John Abraham or Arjun Rampal knocks on my door.

Priya: (jumping out happy) exactly. (Everyone looks at her) Hey can't a girl dream.

Arjun: (talking to Priya) so what about me? (Naina looks up at Arjun)

Priya: what do you mean?

Arjun: to get married to. Where do I come in?

Priya: You come in um, second, no wait third.

Arjun: (shocked) third!?! Who comes in second?

Priya: second would be my best friend Avinash. We promised each other if we don't find anyone we'll marry each other.

Anurag: (looking at Priya with a hope of it being him) and first?

Priya: (looking at Anurag scared to say) some one special (changing everyone's mood) or John who ever comes first.

Jyoti: and if you had to pick between Anurag and Pritem?

Sunil comes out

Mitesh: (cutting Priya off) of course Pritem cause Anurag is only made for Manisha.

Priya and Pritem: (sad) Yeah Anurag is only made for Manisha.

Sunil looks at both Priya and Pritem and feels that something has happen since the last time they meet.
