Priya: hey Mitesh. Don't get me wrong but it was kind of weird. You came to the house in the middle of the night and just happen to fell asleep on the couch.

Mitesh: (giggling) I was wondering when this question would pop out from you're mouth.

Priya: oh! But why?

Mitesh: forget it. You have enough problems in your life to hear mines.

Priya: come on.

Manisha puts her hand on Priya shoulder telling her to let it go. Naina comes into the canteen.

Manisha: (waving) hey Naina!

Naina sees Manisha and walks to the table.

Arjun: oh god! Why are you calling her here?

Manisha: shut up Arjun.

Arjun takes out his wallet.

Naina: hi guys.

Arjun: (making excuses to get always from Naina. Getting up) does anyone want anything?

Naina: you can sit back down. I won't bug you.

Arjun: (surprised) No Naina, you got me all wrong.

Naina: it's ok. Arjun I know.

Arjun sits down. Naina begins to leave.

Arjun: where are you going?

Naina: over there.

Arjun: why? (Smiling) You're to pretty for us now.

Naina: No it's not that

Arjun: then why are you standing (trying to act friendly pulling a chair out next to him) sit.

Naina grabs the chair and takes it towards Pritem.

Pritem: you didn't come for a long time. Where were you?

Naina: busy, getting some extra credits. But now I'm all done. (To Priya) so Priya how's your Nanni.

Priya: Aninash say she's fine. But I don't know he kind of sounded weird on the phone.

Manisha: kuch nahin hoga? Relax… so where did you guys go yesterday.

Naina: Yesterday? Who me?

Manisha: (Priya's drinking water) yeah you and Priya. (Priya starts to cough)

Priya: um I'll be right back (standing) chale Anurag.

Anurag: Me (getting comfortable) I tooooooooo lazy.

Priya: (grabbing him, mad) lets go.

Anurag and Priya leave the canteen leaving everyone surprised and confused.

Naina: me and Priya. I just saw her today, like all of you.

Arjun and Manisha look at each other more surprised to why Priya had lied to them.

Outside the canteen.

Anurag: what was that? Now they'll be suspecting me?

Priya: and their should because of you I had to lie to Manisha that I was with Naina.

Anurag: (mad) me? You're the one who came up with the stupid idea of giving a surprise to Manisha and now you're blaming me, just because I when along with it.

Priya: (mad) don't yell at me. I'm not the idiot who couldn't do anything extra for his girlfriend because he was to dumb to think of anything.

Anurag: (stomped) uh! I don't have to take this. I'm going.

Priya: (grabs his arm) no! Wait! (Anurag stops and listens) what should I do?

Anurag: play it cool.

Priya: (mad) play it cool. Play it cool. It's easy for you to say that because you didn't lie to Manisha. (Anurag tries to talk but she cuts him off) and it's easy cause she thinks that your already cheating. So no harm done to you. (Again she cuts him off. Priya begins to pace back and forth) but I'm her friend. I can't lie to her. I felt so bad that I lied to her last night. I think I might need therapy after your anniversary (again but cuts him off) or maybe I need one right now. Cause I going insane or maybe I'm insane and this thing I'm feeling isn't insanity, it's just mean going sane. Or is it -

Anurag grabs Priya and covers her mouth.

Anurag: make I talk please. (Priya nods. Anurag lets go of her) first I have no idea what you just said. And second like I said play it cool. Just say you were going to Naina but you decided to go to the -library.

Priya was about to say something but Anurag drags her into the canteen.

Anurag: so what's happening?

Manisha: nothing. (She gets up and leaves)

Priya runs behind her.

Priya: (yelling) Manisha! Manisha!

Manisha: (outside the canteen. Turning around mad.) What?

Priya: what happen? Why did you get-

Manisha: why did you lie to me?

Priya: look I'm sorry. Its feel really bad believe me. But-

Manisha: (cutting her off) is it you?

Priya: what?

Manisha: are you and Anurag going out. If you are then just tell me I'll be more then happy to step aside.

Priya: Step Aside!

Manisha: what?

A guy tries to walk past Manisha.

Guy: excuse me.

Manisha: oh.

Priya: look, believe me; I don't like lying to you. But I don't want you to jump to any conclusion. With just one eyewitness that was nothing but just a hi.

Manisha: so you did see him with a girl.

Priya: yeah but just don't jump to any conclusion. Wait till tomorrow.

Manisha: ok

*** While they both walk in. Anurag was telling the guys that he is not cheating on Manisha.

Arjun: Its not that we believe you its -

Mitesh: (cutting him off) it's that she's our sister and we don't want to see her hurt.

Arjun: exactly

Anurag: look I care for Manisha the same way you do, I wouldn't cheat on her.

Manisha and Priya come and sit down, everyone gets quite.

Manisha: what happen everyone got so quite? Come on let talk.

Everyone continue to talk the everyday talk among themselves. Later Priya gets a call from her mom.

Priya: (on the phone) hello mommy - mommy - mommy

Kiran: Hello beta (unable to talk gives the phone to Avinash)

Avinash: hey Priya how are you.

Priya: is there something wrong.

Avinash: nothing! I just grabbed the phone from your mom.

Priya: oh so how dad and mom. Hey how's Nanni health.

Avinash: (worried) Nanni

Priya: is there something wrong.

Avinash: (more worried) no - no nothing is wrong.

Priya: then why do you sound worried.

Avinash: (looking at Anil and Kiran worried) worried- me worried - no.

Anil takes the phone from Avinash.

Anil: hello beta.

Priya: papa what is happening over there?

Anil: nothing beta, its just your Nanni had another heart attack.

Priya: (standing up) what?

Anil: don't worry it was just another minor one.

Priya: papa you're lying. I know you're lying. I could tell by your -

Anil: beta look I'm not lying. If you don't believe me ask your mom.

Anil hands the phone to Kiran but shack her head.

Anil: (hand on receiver) take it or she'll know there something wrong.

Kiran: (taking the phone) hello beta, how are you?

Priya: Mommy are you crying?

Kiran: No!

Priya: but is sound like you were crying.

Kiran: oh because I just finished watching saas (ksbkbt) and you know that if anything bad happens I cry.

Priya: yeah but mom.

Kiran: ok I keeping the phone. Bye! take care!

Priya: ok bye.

Priya cuts the phone. The bell rings and everyone heads up to English class. On the stairs, Priya stops along with everyone.

Priya: You guys good ahead, I'm not coming to class. (Begins to walk down the stairs)

Manisha: Priya wait (Priya stops. Walking down next to her) why not?

Priya: I just don't feel like it.

Anurag: but we have a test.

Priya: I don't care. I don't want to go.

Arjun: guys you go I stay with Priya. Anyways Mr. Chorpa isn't here today.

Manisha: oh you go. Take care of her.

Arjun: she not a baby, sis.

Priya and Arjun walk down to the field outside of the gym.

Priya: (head on Arjun shoulder and hugging his arm) Maybe it wasn't a minor heart attack. Maybe it was something more.

Arjun: they'll all say it was minor.

Priya: (not crying but tears are forming in her eyes) I know but by the depth in they voice it sounded as if it was something more. You could call me crazy but I could tell how my mom, dad, Nanni and Avinash feel just by looking or hearing them. I heard a type of tension on they voices, not relief. (Wiping off the tears) Sorry, I'm breaking into tears in front of you telling you all my problems. Not knowing if you care to listen or not.

Arjun: no yaar that's what friend are for.

Priya smile and puts her head on his shoulder, hugging his arm.
