Chapter 4

Sorry for the delay guys!

"What the f-", Arnav said as he hurriedly got up pulling Khushi with him and she sat on her knees on the bed.

Khushi started laughing uncontrollably and Arnav remembered he was in Nainital with Khushi. But why was she on his chest?

Arnav looked at Khushi, who was still laughing and said,

"Tum to so rahi thi na! Aur tumara paoon?!"

"Hum so nahi rahe the, aur humare paoon mein bhi dard nahi tha!", Khushi fell onto the bed holding her stomach and rolling around laughing.

Arnav looked at Khushi whose face was shining in the light of the side lamp and travelled down her body until he reached the end of her dress which was riding up higher and higher as she laughed. Arnav averted his eyes and said,

"Khushi! Tum itna kyun hass rahi ho? Itna bhi funny nahi tha!"

Khushi just kept on laughing so Arnav got up angrily and dragged her outside onto the balcony.

"Khushi! Chup ho jao!", Arnav said angrily.

Khushi's face was very serious now and she had quietened down.

"Ab tum theek ho?" Arnav Asked Khushi and she nodded her head cutely.

"Tum…Tum ne…kuch pee ya to nahi?" Arnav asked Khushi hesitantly.

Khushi shrugged and Arnav got angry.

"Tum mera jawaab kyun nahi deri?" Arnav asked her.

Khushi tried to explain to him in sign language that he told her to be quiet but he did not understand.

Arnav then came closer to Khushi so she moved back a step but he kept coming closer and Khushi kept moving back until she reached the balcony railing.

She looked back to see what had stopped her and when she brought her face back Arnav's face was very close to hers. Khushi's eyes widened as Arnav moved his head towards her neck and started smelling her.

Khushi was very confused now as Arnav moved his head back and said,

"Tum ne kuch pee ya hua hai".

Khushi shrugged her shoulders again so Arnav grabbed her shoulders tightly and one end of the dress on her shoulder slipped so Arnav was holding onto one bare shoulder and one with cloth on it.

Feeling his warm fingers on her cool skin Khushi shuddered.  Arnav shook Khushi slightly while staring into her eyes and said,

"Khushi, kuch bolo".

Khushi then moved her head towards his ear and when her warm breath touched his ear Arnav closed his eyes and then Khushi said,

"Aap jab mere kareeb aa the hain to mera dil dhadak dhadak kar tha hai bohot zor zor se"

When Khushi moved back and yawned Arnav stared at her for a long time and then said,

"Khushi, tum aa ke so jao".

Khushi was only happy to comply and fell asleep as soon as her head touched the pillow but it took a little longer for Arnav to go to sleep. He could still feel her warm breath on his ear.

In the morning, Khushi shaded her hand in front of her face because the sun was directly shining on it and her head was thumping very loudly. Khushi held her head and felt something very warm move next to her. Slowly Khushi moved her head and came face to face with Arnav's naked chest so Khushi quickly covered her eyes and said,

"Hai devi maiyya. Hum koi bura sapna tho nahi dekh rahe?"

Khushi pinched herself and let out a sharp yelp as she leapt off Arnav and off the bed. Arnav slowly woke up and looked at Khushi who was facing the other way and closing her yes tightly while muttering under her breath.

Arnav got up and came around the bed to her side and said,

"Khushi, main conference ke liye jaa raha hoon. Tum tayaar rehna main aoonga to hum vapis Delhi jayenge".

Khushi nodded and breathed a sigh of relief when Arnav went into the bathroom. Khushi shivered and looked down at the clothes she was wearing.

"Hai devi maiyya!" she shouted loudly, she quickly looked around and wrapped the sheet from the bed around herself.

A knock came on the door so she went to check it; a woman was holding her clothes.

"Ma'am aapke ke kapde.", she said.

"Shukriya!" Khushi replied as she took the clothes and went back into the room.

She heard Arnav coming out of the bathroom so she quickly ran with her clothes and hid behind one of the curtains.

Arnav came out and started looking for Khushi; she was not in the bedroom so he went to the living room and then saw a foot peeking out from behind the curtain. He shook his head smiling and left the room.

Khushi breathed a sigh of relief and went to change while thinking about how she landed up in Arnav's arms last night.
