Bring her back - Arhi Os

Arnav could not bear seeing tears in Anjali's eyes. His heart was getting heavier by the minute and he was left with no choice but to bring Kushi Kumari Gupta back to Raizada Mansion at any cost for his di's sake.

'How in the world am I going to convince that girl to come back?', this thought gave him enough jitters to cramp his pride. By hook or crook he had to bring her back before it was too late and this girl could not have gone too far, he thought. If he hurried up, he could catch her on the road itself and that saves his ego from tolerating three women shouting at him if he goes to Kushi's house to convince her; Kushi's bua, her sister and Kushi herself. He marched to his jeep and drove towards the main road with his eyes scanning for Kushi on the sides of the street.

There she was! Kushi was walking fast on the left side of the road. He turned the jeep at her and hit the breaks animatedly giving Kushi heart palpitations. She gave a small high pitched scream, scaring the kids who were playing cricket on the road. Arnav got out of the jeep and stormed at her. Kushi's eyes got widen with rage, confusion and fear. She quickly took a sneak peak around to see if any grown up humans were at her reach for any unpredictable urgency; more like help. Yes, there were few grownups along with those kids who were busy playing. So there was no way laad governor would do anything harmful to her on the road, she pacified herself.

'Get into the jeep! You're going back to my house', Arnav drawled while opening the left door of the jeep for Kushi.

'Excuse me?', snapped back Kushi while glaring at Arnav Singh Raizada with rage. She could not believe her ears and eyes. What does he think of himself?, thought Kushi. Her blood was boiling at 100 degrees and she could smash Arnav's face had she was blessed with a strong masculine fist!

Arnav looked around and stared back at Kushi. He could totally sense her anger but there was no way he could afford to kill his pride and apologize to this girl and plead her to come back. The only way he knew to get things done was ordering and demanding people; that was his forte. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

'Di wants you back in my house and I would do anything for di', he sneered in a husky voice breaking the eye contact. But Kushi didn't, her eyes were glued to Arnav and they were still pretty much filled with rage.

'Your di means everything to you isn't it? Likewise my self-respect means the world to me Mr. Raizada and there is no way I'm stepping back to that house which has a demon living in it', her heated words seemed more like poisonous thorns for Arnav. How dare she called him a demon? He wished he could hurt her physically and compel her to surrender but he gulped the thought by force.

'Besides, who do you think you are? I know you think you're god but you know what Mr. Raizada? You're not! You cannot command people to get lost and come back just because you want to see your di happy. Don't other humans deserve to be happy? Don't other humans deserve some respect? Is Anjali ji the only human who deserves to live a peaceful life and the rest of us should suffer and die?!? Arey devi maiyya! I have never met such selfish man in my life', Kushi looked away with disgust.

This was way too much for Arnav to swallow. The few people who were on that road were overhearing this animated conversation which is more of an insult to him. How dare this small town girl humiliate him in public? His temperament could no longer tolerate any more toxic words from Kushi Kumari Gupta's mouth! But Kushi was not ready to shush yet. Words were flowing smoothly like butter and there were no breaks to stop her this time.

'Hang on! You're not a man. You're a demon and I'm surprised you have a heart left in your lifeless body to feel for anybody', she glared at him and was somewhat shocked why rakshas wouldn't utter a single word in reply to her grand bashing. But before she could strike again, he grabbed her hand and pulled her towards his body.

'Bol diya?', he hissed while pointing his eyes directly to hers. She felt as if his eyes poked into her body through her eyeballs and electrified her heart with a fire bolt. For once she could not gather words. Her mouth went all dry, eyes got wider and she could feel his warm breath which was full of anger and somewhat desperation. She wondered why he was this desperate.

'Ab tum suno. Yes this demon has a heart and it only beats for Anjali di. Like I said before I would go to any extent to see my di happy. If her happiness lies in you, then I promise you I will make sure to do anything, I mean ANYTHING to get you back in my house! Mind my words Miss Kushi Kumari Gupta', his cold voice gave chills to Kushi's spine. Though she was scared like a mouse, she did not show it to the rakshas. Instead she glared back at him but this time with less anger.

'Kyu? Tum kya karoge? Are you going to kidnap me and take me back by force?', she roared back in mild tone.

'Nahin! I won't stoop that low to kidnap somebody especially not somebody like you because you're not worth it', he said in maliciously while smirking.

He released the tight grip and she quickly pushed her body away from him anxiously. They both glanced at each other in rage but Kushi was more confused to find out what was going through Arnav's wicked mind. He strolled towards the jeep and walked back with a book in his hand. He wrote a cheque and pointed it at Kushi with a crooked smile.

'Fifty thousand rupees! Take it as an advance payment. I'm sure di has not paid you yet for your new job but I'm feeling generous today. Besides you can forget about our one lakh contract'.

Kushi could not control her anger anymore. She very badly wanted to knock this man off and throw him off a cliff. How mean and wicked can he get?

'I don't need your filthy money Mr. Raizada! You can keep it under your royal pillow and sleep on it. And one more thing! Don't you dare try to misjudge me and my self-respect to even assume I'd take such a proposition from someone like you?', she howled with disgust written all over her face.

'Someone like me? You surely think very high of yourself don't you Miss Gupta? Don't amuse me with your 2 cents and take this money. I know your financial status right now and if you don't take this job and money, you cannot survive', Arnav's voice stumbled while blurting these words out. Why do I feel guilty and sorry?, he thought. He was so confused why he felt his words were all wrong and he could not bear to see Kushi Kumari Gupta hurting.

Kushi's eyes filled with tears. He stole glances at her and caught the small tear drops in those beautiful and delicate cheeks. Arnav's heart collapsed seeing Kushi in distress. He cursed himself for saying those words and wished he could take them back but it was too late. The damage was already done. He knew Kushi must be thinking the worst of him and for his dismay and shock, it bothered him. For some weird reason he did not want Kushi to assume him as a bad person.

Kushi slowly wiped her tears and gathered some courage and energy to look at Arnav Singh Raizada's spiteful eyes.

'Yes you're right Mr. Raizada. I do have financial problems but you're wrong. I too wouldn't stoop this low to rectify my financial issues by working for people like you. Not only you have no respect for other people's feelings but also no decency not to hurt others'.

Kushi knew she had nothing left to say to somebody who has no heart left to even have a decent conversation with. The best thing to do was to get away from him and that's what she did. She walked off him leaving him staring at the empty space and the road full of people watching him in disgust.
