Chapter 42
Chapter 42
Aarti was in dadi room when the phone began to ring, she picked it only to hear Yash's voice.
"How is dadi?" He loosen his neck tie while entering his cabin and sat on the chair.
"She is sleeping." She walked out of the room. He went silent, she waited for him to speak.
"You too take some rest." He turned his chair toward the window.
"Ji" She felt good that he thought of her.
"I'll call again, if dadi wakes up then make her talk to me." He told her before disconnected the call.
"Did she take my advice differently?" Yash thought.
"I should not have spoken to her." He regretted, thinking what if she thought he forgot her betrayal.

In the evening Yash came home, a little drunk as his client insisted on having a drink, he thanked God because Suraj was out and Radha was in Dadi room. He silently comes upstairs but Aarti bumps into him on the stairs. She was about to fall but he saved her. She cried in pain.
"Kya hua?" He saw she was holding her leg, it's her wound from yesterday.
"Dressing ki?" He asked picking her up in his arms. She nods no because she didn't get time as she was with dadi maa the whole day today.
"How careless." He shook head and come inside his bedroom or say their bedroom. Aarti was emotional to see it after so many days. She has lost hope that she will ever come back here again.
"Emotional fool." He saw her wet eyes when he dropped her on their king size bed. She frowned.
"I'm not a fool, and I can smell alcohol." She looked at him for an answer. He didn't reply, and took a first aid kit.
"Yash" She lifted his chin when he was dressing her wound.
"Let me do it." He got irritated. She smiled as he again gave his attention to his current task. He gets up and keeps the box aside.
"Now tell me why did you drink?" She asked again. He snaps his tie then opens his shirt buttons, his back facing her as he stands in front of the mirror.
"I often drink to get rid of your thoughts." He spoke, turning. She suddenly saw his soft eyes.
"Do you have any idea that nowadays I don't get any sleep?" He walked towards her. She looked down, the guilt of putting him through so much pain will never let her live in peace.
"Vishwas kijiye maine aapko dhoka nahi diya hai." She lifted head to find him too close. Her chin is almost touching his bare torso.
"Then why did you leave me?" He searched her eyes. She was silent.
"Dhokebaaz ke saath saath jhuthi bhi ho tum." He got angry and turned to walk out but she hugged his waist.
"Please don't leave me! I only loved you, I swear." She held him with all her strength as he wriggled, though her voice was shaky. He snapped her hand away only to turn around.
"I never left you, it's you who walked out of my life. Without meeting me, without a word." He rudely reminded her, lifting her chin. She nodded and a tear fell from her eyes.
"That was my life's biggest mistake, now I don't want to stay away from you." She lifted her hand and touched his face. He so wanted to believe her again but the way she left him not allowing him to trust her now.
"Truth is I still love you." He leaned on her face staring at her lips, she didn't remove her gaze from his face for once, he confessed something he will never say in his senses.
"But it's hard to trust you again." He voiced his dilemma, and couldn't even see her face clearly because tears clouded his eyes. She caresses his cheek to calm him.
"Mera dil nahi manta." He touched his forehead with hers. She stroked his shoulder and his black shirt hung on his arm. He was about to close the distance between their lips.
"Yash" She tried to hold him when suddenly he moved away.
"This is wrong because you no longer love me." He repeated to himself while straightening his shirt.
"Please don't talk like this, I'm your wife." It hurt her more than anything else. He apologised but didn't stop and walked towards the couch to sleep.
"I love you, only you..." She sat there crying, looking at him who turned his back to her.

Next morning Yash woke up, Aarti was not in the room, soon she stepped in the room with a juice glass, he remembered what he did last night, he was drunk but not much. Aarti didn't talk with him.
"I'm sorry for…" He raised head to apologise.
"It's okay" Her voice was dry. He felt bad realising she was upset. He gets up as she turns to walk away.
"Main maafi maang raha hun na." He held her arm.
"I don't want your apology." She snapped his hand and walked toward the door, it irritated him and he took long steps only to grab her hand and turn her around. She was surprised, he pinned her to the door.
"Why are you upset?" He was angry it was clear to her.
"If you don't remember then leave it." She wriggled to break free but he pushed her more to door, their faces were a mere inch away, she raised her gaze from his chest and felt his hot breath on her face.
"I remember everything." He spoke almost lost in her eyes.
"Toh aapko kyun nahi pata main kis baat pe gussa hun?" She asked. He remembered he almost lost his senses but nothing happened.
"Mana ki maine aapke saath galat kiya hai par ab aap bhi mujhe kam nahi sata rahe hain." She glanced at his lips.
"Why do you want our closeness?" He noticed her gaze.
"You also want it." She smiled bitterly. He nods no. It made her mad and she gripped his shirt collar only to kiss him angrily. He moaned, almost losing himself. She curled her arms around his shoulders nibbling his lips. His wide palm smoothed over her slim bare waist, she moaned into the kiss, he angle her head for a better room and thrust his tongue into her sweet mouth, she allowed him to take control, soon he ripped his mouth from hers, she breathed heavy, he trailed kisses on her jawline, collarbone, cleav** she arched her back, he desperately pulled off her saree pallu, it fell on their feet. He pulled her against his chest and bit her silky skin.
"Yash." Aarti fists his smooth hair in pure pleasure, her legs felt weak and she knew if he wasn't holding her then she would have collapsed. A servant knocks on the door, Yash lifts his head, she opens her eyes, he can see that dark want which he is sure he too has right now in his brown eyes. He pulls back stunned as it finally hits him that they cared away. Aarti smirks to see his stunned face.
"Stop playing with my mind." He angrily responded to see her smile.
"Last night you accepted that you still love me." She picked her saree.
"I was drunk." He snapped, her being so normal irritating him now. She nods while straightening her pallu.
"Nobody lies when they are drunk." She finally looked at him.
"What nonsense?" He madly looked away and stormed to the bathroom.

Later Aarti was talking to Dadi when she got Gayatri's call.
"I'm sorry maa, i couldn't call you. Actually Dadi maa is not well so Yash and I are at the Scindia mansion." Aarti walked out of Dadi's room.
"Your Ravi mama's daughter Meenu is getting married in a few days." Gayatri told her. Aarti was really happy for her younger sister.
"You're coming, right?" Gayatri asked.
"Ji main aur Yash aayenge." She smiled, because she won't leave this chance to bring Yash out of the darkness he is living these days. She knows it's her fault to hide the truth from him but at least she can make him a little happy. Gayatri was happy as Aarti sounded so confident after a long time, also she noticed that she has forgotten why she is staying with Yash.
