Chapter 16

Next morning on their flight back to Italy Aarti was really happy.

"Now I'll confess my love to Yash" She smiled and recalled that Bhopal night she spent with him.

"We are destined then why am I pushing him away?" she thought and moved into Yash's arms which surprised him.

"I… " She looked into his eyes, raising his heartbeat.

"I want to sleep here" She snuggled into his neck smiling with herself somewhat teasing him.

"Oh" Yash nodded and hugged her even though he was disappointed.

"I'm sorry Yash but give me some time to make it special, really very special for you" She glanced at his small face.

Next day Yash reached Ishita's apartment only to see a really happy Aarti. She served him tea and sat next to him. Ishita was looking at her in amazement.

Reaching office Ishita walked ahead and Aarti left behind only to drop a peck on Yash cheek.

"Thank you" She smiled.

"For what?" He asked with a sweet shock.

"For dropping here" She said cutely. Yash grabbed her waist, she looked at him surprised.

"Ab toh roz drop karna padega" He gave a playful smile.

"Why?" She asked innocently.

"I'm not a fool to miss a kiss from you." He told her. She shied and he smiled before kissing her red cheek.

"We are in parking" She gripped his shirt collar as his lips moved over her jawline.

"Lets go to my cabin" Yash teased her.

"No" She pushed him. Yash laughed, she ran inside the office.

Later Yash heard some song playing in Aarti cabin, even others looking toward her cabin with wonder. Yash went inside only to find Aarti happily singing along sitting on her chair, as he went near he noticed she had a pen in her hand and also a notebook there in which she had written down something.

"Ab hai judai ka mausam do pal ka mehmaan…" She raised head smiling but seeing Yash in front her smile fades who is looking at her endearingly.

"For whom you're singing this song?" He was actually amused. She hurriedly switched off the song on mobile.

"For you." She said without thinking.

"What?" He looked at her teasingly. She got what she said.

"No, I mean of course not for you. Main humesha aapke baare mein nahi sochti" She tried hard to glare at him. He neared her, raising her heartbeat.

"What is this?" He picks her notebook which makes her nervous.

"Kuch khaas nahi hai" She snatched from his hand before he read what she had written. Yash raised an eyebrow at her strange behavior.

"Then show me" He tried to take it back but she moved away.

"Dikhao mujhe, I'm your boss" He grabbed her close by waist.

"No way, bosses are not supposed to get personal" She was wriggling.

"Oh when you're personal to me then why hide it" He yanked her closer. She looked at him with somewhat innocent eyes which melted his heart. She noticed his soft eyes. His hands locked around her waist as he glanced at her lips. She closed eyes as he leaned to kiss her but at the wrong time Hina entered. He left Aarti and bang hand on a nearby wall.

"Did I come at the wrong time?" Hina asks, seeing an awkward Aarti and an angry Yash.

"Yes" Yash turned only to glare at her and didn't even try to hide his frustration.

"Sorry" She made a baby face when she realized that she again interrupted their private moment. Yash stormed out.

"Angry at being so hot" Hina was still drooling on him. Aarti softly hit her head.

"Oops I forgot he is your man. By the way, what was he doing a while ago?" Hina gets a chance to tease Aarti.

"Yaar tu mobile pe music sunti hai woh bhi high volume mein" Ishita stepped in. Aarti made a small face.

"Hey what is this?" Hina saw a notebook. Aarti's eyes widened.

"Mujhe wapas do" she comes near Hina but she runs away from her. Aarti was breathless trying to catch her but Hina was in her naughtiest mood.

"Looks like someone is planning for her date." She teased Aarti as she read the preparation list. Aarti was shy. Ishita looked at her in amusement.

"I need your help" Aarti asked, knowing there is no use hiding it from them.

"Yaar main toh experienceless hoon" Ishita made an innocent face.

"Even I too don't have any boyfriend so sorry" Hina tells.

"Yaar tum log kitne boring ho" Aarti whines.

"You're talking as if you had all the fun when you were teenager" Ishita mocks.

"Of course me and Yash…" She paused to realize what she said.

"Oh my god" Ishita and Hina gave her shocking looks. Aarti closed her eyes not understanding where to hide herself. Both the girls got excited and insisted on telling the whole story. Aarti gave up and told them about that Bhopal night.

"Promise me you will not tell anybody about it specially Yash" She took the promise. Both nods understanding her.

Somebody knocks on Yash's cabin.

"Kon hai?" He asks, getting irritated.

"Arre main hoon yaar tu itna gussa kyun hai" Aman stepped inside. Yash glanced at him then apologized.

"Lagta hai Aarti se mil nahi paya" Aman teased him. Yash glared at him.

"Achha bhai naraz nahi ho aur yeh paani le" Aman handed him a water glass.

"I think she needs time to accept you." Aman said.

"She accepted me but there is something she is fighting alone." Yash replied.

"Aarti is so strong, she hasn't lost trust in love after seeing the ugly faces of our gender. Most women never get into relationships facing something like this. You know I'm so lucky that she loves me, I'll never leave her alone" Yash said with determination.

"Ab jaldise Aarti ko meri bhabhi banade tu" Aman hugged him emotionally. Yash smiled a little shy with the thought of marriage.

Manik saw Aarti and decided to talk to her after work. In the evening he followed Yash's car but got surprised as Aarti left for Ishita's home. As Yash's car zoomed away he stepped into the apartment. She get surprised but she still welcomes him. He apologized and asked her to give another chance.

"Manik you still don't know the truth" She decided to tell him today.

"What truth Aarti?" He asked, confused. She took a deep breath before she started speaking and in the end she was in tears.

"You are a prostitute" Manik's words shocked her. It was like a slap on her face.

"All these days you hide this truth from me, I know why because you know I will never look at you leave alone loving you" His next set of words shake her entire world.

"I feel disgust right now that I touched a girl like you, who is used by so many men" He moved back in disgust, looking at her as if she is some filth. Aarti was broken beyond repair, his every word felt like a knife in her heart. She sat there near the sofa hugging her knees as he left from there, all those dark days again flashes in her mind making her feel disgust on her own existence.

Ishita reached home only to find Aarti sitting with a blank face, there were dry tear marks on her cheeks. She touched her worriedly but Aarti moved back scared. Fresh tears made their way out her eyes. Ishita gets more tense so she calls Yash knowing only he can handle her. Yash reached there in no time and was shocked to see Aarti so vulnerable, her eyes were dead. He bent on knee and tried to touch her shoulder.

"No, don't touch me" She hugged her knees closer looking at him just how she was scared in their first meeting.

"Aarti" He took her name and his voice turned teary.

"I'm your Yash" He comes forward but she nods no moving back.

"Please don't do this" He begged her, touching her face. She yanked his hand and got up only to run out of the house.

"Aarti stop" Yash followed her. Aarti ran madly toward the highway and stopped when she saw a car coming her way. She just closed her eyes waiting for death to hug her. The car came near her but at the right moment Yash yanked her to the side.

"Damn it, what are you doing?" Yash yelled at her as she fell on his chest.

"Leave me, I don't want to live anymore" She wriggled in his hold.

"Aarti" Yash shook her hard. She cried and tried to push him.

"Let me die please" She fell in his arms like a lifeless doll.

"Just shut up" He grabbed her closer as his own eyes burned with tears.

"Why did you save me?" She clutches on to him crying bitterly.

"Because you're my life damn it" He cries with her, he doesn't know what happened which makes her take this step that she wants to end her life.

Yash brought Aarti to Ishita's apartment and he left only after Aarti fell asleep.

Early in the morning Yash reaches to meet Aarti.

"Itni subha kon hai?" Ishita woke up hearing the doorbell.

"How is Aarti?" Yash asked as Ishita opened the door rubbing her eyes.

"Sir aap" she was surprised.

"Hmm where is Aarti?" he came in looking for Aarti.

"She is sleeping." she said.

"She was so happy yesterday then what happened in the evening to make her that vulnerable" Yash asked.

"I have no idea sir" Ishita too wondered the same because Aarti was really happy planning to propose to Yash.

"I'll make tea for her." Yash said, moving toward the kitchen. Ishita followed him smiling that he cares for Aarti so much.

"Sir I'll make it, aapko pareshan hone ki zaroorat nahi hai" she told.

"I said I'll make it" he said searching for chai patti and sugar.

"Ok main fresh hoke aati hoon" Ishita left.

In the room Aarti woke up and recalled last night. Silent tears roll down her cheek as she keeps staring at the fan.

"Shayad main koi khushi deserve hi nahi karti" She never felt this hopeless not even when she was caged in Akash farmhouse. She accepted that as some sin punishment but after god gave her Yash now she feels as if happiness are not written in her destiny.

Soon Yash knocks Aarti's room and finds her bed empty only to see Aarti coming out of the washroom. He gave her a cup of tea.

"Arre Aarti you wake up" Ishita stepped into the room and picked up her cup.

"Wow sir you made such a good tea" Ishita smiled at him. Aarti looked at him then took a sip. Soon Ishita left for her room leaving Yash Aarti alone.

"Why were you so vulnerable last night?" He doesn't want to take the suicide word. She looked away how she tell him what others see her as just a used thing which broke her.

"I come to take you back" Finding her silent, Yash comes near her. She searched his eyes, there was concern.

"I'm not coming with you." Aarti replied.

"You're my responsibility." He said.

"I'm nobody responsibility, do you get it, I don't want your sympathy" She yelled at him as she recalled how Yash saved her when she tried to suicide. Instead of feeling hurt or angry Yash was glad that she is actually showing her anger openly. He grabbed her face in both hands, she was still glaring at him with the same anger. He took her lips into his mouth which stunned her, she fought but he held her closer kissing her with all the love. She also gave up and kissed him with the same love. They fall on the sofa Yash lay on her soft body without crushing her under him.

"Our first kiss" Yash rested his forehead on her.

"No, second" She smiled, he has this power to heal her pain by just being around her. Yash raised head and gave her a confused look. Aarti nodded recalling that club night.

"Sir, can you drop us to offi...." Ishita enters the room and her words die in her mouth to see the scene. Yash hurriedly got up, Aarti sat there nervously straightening her clothes.

"I'm getting late" Yash avoided Ishita's eyes and moved out of the room. Ishita gave a teasing look to Aarti who avoided her eyes. Ishita left thinking to tease her later because right now they need to get ready for office. Aarti went to the window only to see Yash who just sat in his car, to her surprise he looked up and their eyes met. She moved back and hid herself in the curtain closing her mouth still can't believe that they really kissed a moment back.

Aarti was not ready to go to the office but after yesterday Ishita didn't want to leave Aarti alone so she somehow, with lots of drama, took Aarti to the office. The whole day Yash was with her and also her friends which changed her mood.
